First, Dean brilliantly captures how both amazingly easy and incredibly difficult credible acting is to do. As soon as his makeup is applied he IS Grandpa Earl. The facade never comes down. He believes it more than he sells it. You have to let go, entirely. Dean does. Easy for some, very, very difficult for many actors. For the average guy on the street, forget about it. The young boy's work is understated genius. The interaction and reactions of onlookers and other riders are perfect, because they are real. They are real because of how good Dean is. Wow, no one was hurt, no humans or animals were abused during production. Fantastic! I couldn't stop watching and couldn't stop smiling. THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT.

It was a rare occasion for him to have flip flops on, and he schooled the punks who thought they knew how to ride. Was really funny when he chewed out one kid who ran his 250 out of gear oil and had to replace the whole set. Will always remember him. Total badass. 😎
Dont cheap out on boots and a helmet. You can get a few year old bike for about 2-3 grand in pretty good condition. There are so many videos of how to fix them with common tools. And while its not as cheap as lawnmower racing, its pretty cheap for how many hours you put on the seat.

At nearly 70 now i had to sell my 650 Paris/Dakar Kwaka a few years ago because it was a bit too much of a handfull for me. Ah well the 89 XT 350 Yammie goes ok. Ride safe ride long.
