First 2 brooches you pulled out were unmarked Juliana D & E with open back navette rhinestones and one piece clasp. You will definitely get your money back just on those first few pieces. Great haul!
Oh boy! Are we gonna see jewelry?!! Love it! That blue magnet thingy is used for canning. The lids and rings stick to it so you can fish them out of hot water which you use to sterilize them.
I believe you found a FABULOUS deal! I seen some possible unmarked Juliana, Miriam Haskell, Florenza. The linked bracelet is damascene. Wow, all thrown together! Beautiful! Great find!
Beautiful, Rusty! You certainly were in the fight place at the right time! I'm kinda jealous but very happy for you. Good people deserve good luck, yay!
Okay. I am SO jealous. How in the heck did you find that jewelry? I dream of that happening and I have been hunting several times each week for years and years
You have no idea how much you have helped me! My son & daughter in law have bins full of jewelry that they have poured over time and again, and then just dumped back into the bins. Dog hair, people hair, dust, scraps of thread & paper… it’s a real mess. I started going through the stuff and then stumbled onto your channel. Taking one bin at a time, I’ve been separating the stuff into categories: Sterling (because it’s marked. Didn’t know about the 925 until you told me). There are now baggies labeled Vintage single earrings, Large single hoop earrings, necklaces, bracelets, test for gold, test for silver, and so forth. Because of you I now have a jeweler’s loupe and know how to look for maker’s marks. Thank you very, very much!
Wonderful information on buying smalls. But That tub of jewelry. Oh my stars 🌟 You got so many treasures. The pile your not sure what to do with. Sell as a lot. Don't discard anything. People look for broken or pieces with stones missing to use for crafts. Even repairs. Can't wait to see more❤
This lot will not only give you a huge return on your investment, but you'll end up learning a TON about jewelry. It's gonna be the purchase that will keep on giving. I guarantee it.
No clue myself as I am fairlynew to jewelry, but those brooches may be Julianna D & E brand. They were originally sold with paper tag branding so have no permanent marking but often fetch a good price! Congratulations!
You got a great deal on the tote of jewelry...I feel like you gonna make alot of money off of them! I'm sure wishing I could find a tote of jewelry at a deal price! Loving it!
Hello Mr.Rusty! We also acquire items by helping our elders. We get the job done with no expectations of being paid. They give us the items in hopes we can use or sell them. Some of my personal favorites are homemade baked goods and fresh venison. Nothing like having our freezer full. Yumm! Momma called it bartering. I call it Karma. Great video! Can't wait to see what sold! Squeeze your family and enjoy your day! Paul and Tina
Info you may want. I've been in jewelry business for about 25 yrs. Due to past exp managing high end fashion jewelry store, worked Macy's fashion and Penny's fine and fashion jewelry. Some things to consider about set vs single item. Problem with sets older earrings mainly clip, most woman will NOT wear clips. I've sold earrings and brooch separately BUT put in listing, matching earrings or brooch available on my site. I just bought 150 brooches I'm going through. Most crystal is clear on back, coated back if stone usually rhinestone. I sell on eBay still sorting and using Lens app to help identify. Hope this helps like your site.
I have only recently discovered your channel. Love this video and these pieces are absolutely gorgeous. I would be so tempted to keep them all for their beauty. Great score. The universe was definitely shining on you when you acquired this lot!
Holly fN shit, you have pieces worth 100's maybe 1,000. I wish I was right next to you. Are you selling every piece individually or lotting it up. Oh boy what a jewelry lot. To die for.
I'm new to this... And you sir, by far, are the most informational narrator, creator that I've seen thus far 💯I just need to figure out where to start selling because I do not have much patience for the "one by one" thing. Any pointers are greatly appreciated🤗TIA
No really Rusty, you hit the jackpot with all that beautiful costume jewellery. 😍 You remind me of a modern pirate with a plastic chest/ box oveflowing with treasure. 💍 I had to subscribe. 😂
WOW those brooches are stunning!! What a score!!! Where did you get that Lot??? I would say the prices are accurate, surely whoever priced them did their research. Lucky You!!
@2:00 Is it ok put items on consignment, post the item online elsewhere, and simply collect it from the consignment store once you personally sell it? Is this a common industry thing, or are you transparent with the store owners when you consign it (whether a new, or established relationship)? I just started working for a small local business. A downsizing company re-selling contents of property/estate. I want to approach local businesses, auction houses, antique stores, and consignment stores to begin buyer/seller relationships / build a buyer base for the estate items we work with. For 15 years, the previous owners were emptying out homes, moving the client's items to their new homes, and either donating or trashing the rest. No purchase or sale of the contents of the home. SHOCKING. Anyhoo...new ownership, and they of course want to open a sales division. I'm a Professional Auctioneer in Canada, and of course see the potential they do! But I'm also creating something out of thin-air and experience, so any advice is great. We won't be running auctions, and/or just yet...but I'm thrilled to be working with seniors, and around the huge variety of items and collectibles, so this new job is very much my jam. ***Excited to be a part of the magic, and LOVE watching your videos!!
Great score everybody walked away happy got what they wanted, seller recouped their cost... hopefully you exchanged contact number just in case another windfall happens with one of their clients & non-payment... well I need to go revamp all my shipping templates from first class...LAXVESPA -LOS ANGELES
What books or other resources you are looking into to research these jewel ties ? I am new to reselling jewelry and impressed they way you are admiring custom jewelry. Thank you for sharing your findings and your knowledge.
WOW Gorgeousness overload! You certainly WERE in the right place at the right time, congrats. I watched halfway through and hit SUBSCRIBE. Can't wait to watch more of your vids.
20:19 Good call on the GUITAR STRAP . Great example of something 200 people will walk by at a flea market and not even NOTICE. This gives me extra time to sleep in the morning and not have to worry about getting to the flea market until 11:00 AM.
Oh my Heck!!! SCORE ❤ Cousin What a Find. I'd have a Ball goin through that tub of jewelry 💖 and it's the items like that I can't keep in stock on my ebay. Those WEISS brooches heck I don't have them up a day or so and POOF Sold 😊 and Garnet pieces from the Victorian Era I just shipped a ladies 12k little watch and 2 rose cut garnet pendants and that brought me 250$. And I am most at home thrifting anyway so I'm havin Fun too. But I'm happy for your good fortune with the tub of Fun and thank you for sharing. I'm seeing possibly Juliana, Regency, Weiss and others just in what you went through already!
God has truly blessed you with this jewelry!!!!! Right place at right time is not coincidence, but pre-ordained. Yes, some sell for hundreds. The peacock blue will do you well. Rarer color. Do you use google lense? Can help to shorten research time. I wish it had been me, but I hope you do awesome with your sales. Keep us posted..BTW, I lived in Greenville SC in the 70's. Went to Ashville, Hendersonville and the Blue Ridge often. Still miss the area. God's country for sure.
Hi Rusty, nice to meet you. I'm brand new to this potential reselling jewelry business, so I'll hold my questions down to just one... how much cleaning will you do on these pieces? Thanks! Smiles from the southern California desert, MK 😁😁
I love it. My Sister-in-law just sent me a gallon bag full ofold costume jewelry. Nothing valuable really, but it's fun ot go through. My husband is from your neck of the woods. We go there often to visit family. Little town called Weaverville. Love it there.
Ooh also see some more Sarah Coventry in that end shot where you have everything from the bin spread out on the table. Pair of gold and amber/topaz colored glass, from the "Wild Honey" set of the 1970s. I have the whole set, I love it.
Those glasses are called "pince nez" glasses *(French for "pinch the nose"), which do ride on the bridge of the nose like you said. FDR was famous for wearing them, as did Woodrow Wilson. The loop on that one would be where the wearer had a little chain that may have connected to their garment, so that if the glasses fell off the nose, they didn't fall to the floor. This style glasses was worn by both men and women and went out of style by the end of the 1930s.
What a great deal! I got a beautiful gold snd red sapphire ring in a private pick thought was just costume till I got home aprox $6 buy after dividing everything
Unbelievable find. Many Juliana pieces. Not marked, but not usually are. You can tell from the back. Prices on some of the older pieces are low. Great find!
Funny you call everyone cousins, I literally had 4 cousins come in today to my work, really ridiculous. They were once or twice removed, I recognized all their grandparents names😂
The rock necklace reminds me of the Flintstones cartoon😂. You should put that in the description when selling. Do you resell on eBay or where? I would definitely include that on all of your You Tube-by saying it and putting it in as a pop up. Glad you were in the right place at the right time, what a wonderful coincidence!
You need to do a video call with Dr. Lori the antiques appraiser. I know I’ve heard her talk about whiting and Davis and i guarentee she can tell you prices on all of those and where to sell them to make the most out of your haul!
Hi Rusty, I always heard that if the back of a piece of jewelry is open that it is usually a gem stone, they leave it open so the genuine stone can breath, I see that you have some open and some closed on the back of your brooches. Worth looking into. The back of your Brooches. Thanks
The Bracelet is Damascene. I dont think I have ever seen so many beautiful pieces at one time, that is a Lot of the Lifetime!!
First 2 brooches you pulled out were unmarked Juliana D & E with open back navette rhinestones and one piece clasp. You will definitely get your money back just on those first few pieces. Great haul!
what does d & E mean? what gave it away that they were Juliana pieces?
