I was trying to find a word in the english language that described the honesty, flat out unique creativity (with tool substitutes) and non BS explanations....If I figure out the most superb word, I'll come back. Until then...THANK YOU. You did an excellent job. No holds barred..FEARLESS.

Wow great job! And I definitely appreciate all the tips for working around not having all the necessary tools! They're super expensive. I will get them when I can but I am about to start my 1st boot build and this video was a HUGE HELP!! Thank you so much for sharing!

AWESOME!!❤ The best video I've seen this year. Having thoughts of making a pair of boots by myself and this video answered most of the questions I had. Thanks

Okay so I placed my first comment directly after recognizing the 'mascot' on your shirt but hadn't yet seen you fully in action.
Your even keeled monotone deliverance is entertaining and at times Hilarious!! The fact that you repeat over and over with the purpose of never ending the most important message of all -being that not having certain tools Is Not A Deal Breaker - as this is what so many of us subconsciously look for as a valid excuse for not trying to accomplish new and challenging projects.
All that excellent mentoring shit aside, as I mentioned in my first statement I was floored to actually *LOVE* the design of the boots and the awesome swell shoelaces are an extra detail that is exactly the type of thing I add to further individualize my personal style to make it exclusively my own, even if it's only tiny details that only I will know about outside of those with a keen Hawkeye and a sense of curiosity.
I'm usually so frustrated with these videos because of how inaccessible they are despite being labeled DIY or any of the other illogical issues that don't seem to concern them as click baiters that I leave regretting the waste of time and risen blood pressure.
Instead I was So impressed with you and your content that I Had to subscribe!! It doesn't matter to me if this just so happens to be the only video that contains topical matters that appeal to me, I'd watch your videos just to continue reassurance that the adult youth of today aren't all susceptible to the grimmer, more dystopian shortcuts that are becoming the norm in place of real human beings who understand that life is nothing without balances and the best way to learn is by making mistakes... But most important of all is the fact that we are taking action and Trying.
    Thank you!!

This is awesome, thank you! I'm about to embark on my first pair, going with stitchdown construction (because it seems like it'll be easier) but lots of helpful tips here 🙏

I crossed my fingers and thumbed through all the comments hoping that just one, at the very least, recognized the hat tip toward the Descendents your Leathercraft shirt is displaying but my heart was broken to find none!
Even if it IS a candidate for a Cease and Desist order from the middle aged band member's lawyer, I am elated to know that these types of reminders are out there keeps the conversation alive.
That aside, thank you for the invaluable tutorial ! It makes it that much more inspiring when you have created a pair of boots that Really appeal to me -which is rare because I wear vintage era military issue combat boots and swoon over antique boots that I either can never afford or are remakes that always seem to somehow miss the mark in recreating the true soul of the design. I love these but despite having what most call a hoarder collection of tools, I don't have most of what it takes to make these.

Hi , I enjoyed your tutorial. What is the name and oz. is the leather you use from weaver? I love making every day/heavy duty use brogans. I cannot for the life of me ever imagine welting anything. I do not have the patience. I wood peg my sole and heels. Sometimes, I make my own with maple wood peg. I use a box cutter for all my cutting needs even trimming the heels and soles. Take care !

Boy, I bet you will go through a lot of lasts by using a rasp on them. I really would like to learn to both make and repair shoes and boots. If you get a line in a pattern for barefoot-type shoes, I'd love to know where. I’d like to make my daughter awesome sandals that I see being sold for $185!
