      Actually, anything above 16 inch is too big for my needs, as I am after something portable. Now I cannot decide between Huion Pro 13 and Pro 16. I get the impression the displays and drawing experience is the same (apart from size) in terms of quality, am I right?

      are the colors fairly accurate, straight of of the box, and is the sensitivity good when drawing especially light-handedly? also, how sensitive and useful is the touchbar?
      thank you for your time btw!!

    • @TheGreatArlei
      @TheGreatArlei 4 года назад +2

      @@jeju8796 I would definitely say the colors are fairly accurate (one of the best you'll get at this price range) out of the box but it also offers a lot of customization which I would definitely play with to fit you.
      It is really comfortable to draw on with a nice, subtle texture to it and incredible sensitivity. I wouldn't even worry about the sensitivity, it's great.
      I personally bought this device with the side buttons and touch bar in mind but I honestly haven't used them at all. Most people end up finding they are not very comfortable or efficient to use, regardless of the company. The touch bar is well calibrated and functions as expected though.
      The build quality of the tablet itself is incredible but the pen does feel a lot lighter than the ones Wacom offers and the two side buttons it includes often feel a bit "clicky". I use the pen buttons daily and they hold up perfectly though, no problems whatsoever. You do get used to it but I'd prefer a thicker and heavier pen. Overal a classy display for a fair price.

    • @TheGreatArlei
      @TheGreatArlei 4 года назад +1

      @@oliakeung7204 When it first came out the calibration was indeed broken but they quickly fixed all those driver issues within a few weeks and have since been updated regularly, with noticeable improvements. I personally have no calibration complaints.
      One thing you should not do is have other graphics tablets drivers installed in your system, they are not compatible.
      From my own experience I have not had any inconveniences. I believe Huion delivers a high quality product for a very fair price.
      As you may have read above, the only complain I've had is the physical quality of the pen, which isn't as good as Wacom's.
      Other than that the Kamvas Pro 16 is an excellent product and at that price range I honestly wouldn't recommend any other. Now if you are willing to pay two times the price I would certainly go for a Wacom tablet.
      If you have any other specific questions don't hesitate to ask.

      This is long but it may help someone else:
      Sorry XpPen but that screen is like a hockey game!!
      I own Huion larger monitor GT something and I think it works just fine for me - I honestly stop using Wacom products for the price (and trying to sell my unopened wacom tablet now - I'm used to monitors now).
      Recently I've wanted a more lap tablet monitor so I did purchase the XpPen pro to give it a try and test it out and to be honest it's not too bad...but as someone who does art constantly, I just can't fall in love with it. I do HATE the way the screen feels when you draw on it and I would honestly use it to only sketch out ideas and transfer it over to my big computer to finish. I think the company is nice and the tablet is not too bad...but something about it is uncomfortable. I honestly would not recommend the 12 series reg or pro it's hard to fall in love with. I used it for only a few days less than a month and could already tell it was not going to work for me. My biggest issue with it was when you would zoom out to be able to see your work the canvas (I was in photoshop) would look like the screen had pixelated rips across it and the colors would often vanish or sections of your art would vanish as well. Sometimes it would even act like the 'good ol days' of the internet where the page would load painfully slow from top to bottom to show the image...it was not fun at all. Since I had this XpPen for under a month and it's still just like new and in the box, I'll likely give it away to a big kid or teen who wants to get into digital art...but if you're doing it seriously and want near-flawless results...I believe it can give you that, but you're going to have to fight for it a bit. Just go for anything NOT the 12 series reg or pro. I wanted it for travel convenience if I needed to go on a trip I could flashdrive/googledrive everything over to my laptop and grab the tablet and go but it was not a drawing convenience for my projects 40 - 80 percent of the time. The size, however, is something perfect for travel.
      XpPen may be for you - it was not terrible but when you paired it with third-party software such as LN the pen would not work well at all and the pressure felt broken a LOT of the times (unless you're sketching or using very thick lines...this was a huge pain) There is a huge noticeable LAG when drawing with third-party add-ons meant for the drawing apps. It would lag to the point where the screen would freeze with no activity for moments of time before waking up from it's 'daze' and apply the strokes it thinks you made. It's best to use the product raw and it did work much better without it. The line was more smooth without LN, but I use LN for perspective and I can't do that unless on my main work desktop monitor. I would recommend the XpPen products for younger kids wanting to get into digital art, if I were 12, XpPen would have been the best (I used a line of bamboo tablets into their more mature wacom brands and then to Huion) but XpPen feels like an experiment. I wish for the company Huion and XpPen to grow and rival wacom one day so there would be more competition on the market instead of a monopoly. If any of these companies release a 4k version at a good price Wacom could finally be watching their backs (maybe just a bit - schools will always push students to wacom and overprice them)
      My Huion (this version) comes in tomorrow and I'm honestly excited to compare it with the XpPen and see if I'm just Huion converted now.

    3:20 Sorry, for asking again... but is this kind of "stipple & dots" issue I have had with XP-PEN devices?!? The Huion pen seems to be very sensitive and responsive while drawing and movements. But seeing you making those dots leaves a bad feeling... Would you mind to share your experiences with HUION vs XP-PEN in this regard. Thanks in advance!

    I do not have a tablet or laptop but a PC case (and smartphone), it may make sense to take an iPad, maybe iPad Pro (at 90/80% to draw trying to do it especially there instead of paper or no display tablet?) perhaps among some or many months (it is more a desire but one excludes the other) if it would be possible or better Pen Display, maybe this or similar that would also be more economical solution, I would use above all at home but I would like more comfortable solution also for back or arm that in the last months he gave a little boredom and to avoid malfunctions or to set badly (in the past I liked to rack my brains to try to make things work or to learn them but now
    less even if I am tempted to choose a lower solution in case of doubt to make a mistake in buying) or screen below 10/11 inches (there would be no doubt as to the model and capacity and if with a network card, I was thinking of a model with 64 GB and no net but I don't know, I didn't understand then if ipad os is fine then with all peripherals, it will depend on outputs, I don't know the costs of this then, an external hard disk would serve me already for pc but I don't know if usb 3 or usb 2 that are outputs that I have to the PC make that I could use the same thing for everything), it is difficult to choose, on the one hand, however, I think that avoiding pc in the summer with heat and video card that becomes noisy or maybe you can more easily find a comfortable position or listen to music and being able to read or have good references would not be bad, price differences are scary, with different prices I would actually have my preference if ipad is in fact an alternative to wacom for capacity, for programs but maybe better pc but procreate looks very nice. to know an artist's opinion and that I admire would be nice. thank you and sorry sorry.
    but for your fantastic abilities it all seems beautiful so I would take everything in reality .. but then I would discover that it was the handle and not the racket

    • @iamchristiandion
      @iamchristiandion 5 лет назад +1

      I can tell you now, Huion wins. Xp pen has a good color gamut level, but it’s unbalanced, so the colors still aren’t as accurate as they should be. Their pen has tilt, but the sensitivity of it needs improvement, as the flow from light shading to dark shading lacks a good natural in between. The screen is laminated which means little to no parallax, but the pen will sometimes offset from the cursor if you’re tilting it. The screen is also not quite as “textured” as the Huion, probably because the Xp pen has an anti-glare film, while the .Huion has a natural coating that makes it non reflective, but also gives the surface texture without diffusing the colors. The only issue I really have with the Kamvas pro 16 is the retarded decision to put the power button right by the hot keys and the poorly designed stand. Everything else is amazing.

      @@Cynos_3D the cintiq 16 is 600 in the us and that’s not much more than XP? yeah the build quality of xp really doesn’t do it for me, and that parallax for the price is atrocious, even if it has “good color” doesn’t matter if half the programs I try don’t work :’) hopefully nothing happens to yours though!
