Fantastic information! The mental training is a critical component. The exciting part is you can apply these concepts to other areas in life! I like the idea of creating a “retreat at home” environment. Nicely done.
Dear, dear Dr. Fuhrman, This talk has been the most motivating and informative I've ever heard! I'm feeling as if I can actually become a completely wfpb nutritarian, which I need to do desperately! Thank you so much!
Hi Dr Fuhrmam, I watched one of your videos recently where you mentioned that frozen blueberries don't have to be bought organic, and was wondering if you could share what else doesn't need to be bought organic because it can get pricey to buy all organic produce. Thanks!
@@eugenefirebird8938 I know. Blueberries are on the dirty dozen, but Dr Fuhrman says that if they're frozen, you don't have to buy them organic because they freeze them before they're sprayed or something.
He is the only plant based doctor that actually ever mentioned Food addiction, and that is exactly what it is, we are addicted to food and that is the biggest obstacle
True. Personally I’m young and healthy but I’ve always eaten junk food and I suddenly realise everyone is eating salt, oil, sugar. Everyone eats fries, everyone eats cake or ice cream, everyone eats fried food etc. It is so rare to eat whole foods without all that stuff it’s crazy. A journey well worth it, I’m sure we will all feel much better and live a healthier life as we continue to follow eating properly like this. And a person can get used to everything, for example eating junk food regularly stops being exciting, same with eating healthy you get used to it and then you can enjoy it.
Dr. Vera Tarman has written a whole book about food addiction. I, too, thought my condition was something no doctor except for Fuhrman would ever consider but they‘re slowly seeing that addiction. :)
My journey to being vegetarian was a process. I didn't go cold turkey. I slowly dismissed food from my diet, and I started with beef. Once I became comfortable without beef, I eliminated pork and so on. During this process, I introduced veggies and fruit and learned how to make them appealing to eat. I am so onboard to unlearning what I was conditioned to eat in early life and become full vegan.
Check out the Recipes from The Happy Pear! I‘m vegan and my non-vegan boyfriend love those meals! Keep going, SOS-free vegan lifestyle and being a nutritarian is paradise :)
Doing difficult things requires Self discipline (saving money, eating well, exercising, getting a college degree, etc.) Self discipline must be developed over time. It is much like a muscle. It needs to be built with exercise daily. Unfortunately most people always take the easy road in life, instant gratification, poor impulse control, and that means eating junk and doing other unhealthy things like heavy drinking, smoking, vaping, and taking drugs. I'm sure that Dr Fuhrman's figure skating when he was young taught him much of his self discipline.
read The End of Diabetes by Dr.Fuhrman.I was willing to change and follow his program.I've lost 73 pounds and no longer have diabetes.Anyone with Type 2 diabetes can do this.
I just made that comment. He's staying with the old pyramid way of eating. Cannot make money off healthy people. Yes he should be thrown in jail. I bet he has no problem prescribing statins to his patients.

There is a list out there called the dirty dozen -- fruits and veg that have lots of pesticides if not organic. Apples, potatoes, peppers and others.

It's nice to know that you enjoy helping people at your retreats. It's too bad that the vast majority of us will never be able to afford that.

Dr Fuhrman is the best because he doesn’t sugar coat and say things you like to hear and still keep you in the maze.
I love how much caring you show and appreciate your knowledge and kindness on a difficult journey
Valuable help. Thanks!
So true. Mindset

This diet will cure you if you follow it without fail. It cured my pre cancer.
There is hope through nutrition.
This guy is nuts
Steaks. Steaks. Steaks. It'll heal.
You’re giving a lot of bad information that’s killing people and you should be put in jail.

Wait, killing people? What happened?
Keto or Carnivore diet is the way to go.
Fasting also.
