      I just want to make this clear, it's really important to explain everything about vegan ethics to younger generations. Currently the meat industry is massively targeting teens with TikTok reels and Facebook reels. It's very important from an early age that kids hear vegans side of the story or they'll end up so indoctrinated, that it'll be hard for them to question the meat eaters position they're in, due to being too involved in meat eating.
      So it's really important to explain everything to teens and younger kids, but with younger kids not too graphically. Point being it's really important for younger generations to actually understand the ethics and philosophies behind veganism, so they can ask moral questions at a young age, when building their conscience.
      Obviously they also need to understand how it's healthier to be on whole food plant based diet as well, and that there will be no health complications if done correctly. ✌

      @@TheaDragonSpirit It is not ethical to get a society to consume a diet that was invented 70 years ago and has a 84% failure rate which will destroy a society. The 8.7 million species of animals have a 100% success rate with their diet as long as the food was available, so your idea of doing a non accredited diet correctly is 100% false.

    I love it that this man is up front and presents the facts to let us understand the rationale behind his nutritarian approach. Others before him were on a similar path such as Max Gerson, Gabriel Cousins, Anne Wigmore, etc.

    How much shorter is the lifespan on higher protien diet? What was the difference in quality of life? Stress?What about all the people with autoimmune conditions? So many variables that it would be impossible to confirm what is the best overall diet for longetivity. Everybody is different living in different parts of the world in different climates and enviroments.
    Stuff the studies, they are usually funded by people with interests financially. Anyone selling stuff and giving advice should be taken with precaution.
    Try every diet and see what makes you feel best and regular blood tests to confirm your health is the best way to stay on top of it! Dont tell people they are doing wrong on a diet if its working for them.

    What a great message as always. I'd like to think that after twelve years of eating mostly nutrient dense plant foods that I have heard it all, but I am still learning. I had not heard about the threshold effect and how it does not seem to apply to green vegetables. Very interesting!

    I think whats going on is any diet is better than the standard American diet Which is why you see such tremendous results on keto and plant based diets.

    Dear Dr Fuhrman, thank you for all the knowledge you share with your audience.
    Could you comment on the possibility that , witn age, the biofilms in our digestive tract thicken and prevent our cells from obtaining all the nutrients they need as these go into the layers of microbial matrix instead? TY

    I normally have a HUGE (Dr. Goldner-type) green smoothie every day with flax seeds. Is that sufficient for my green intake or do I need to also include a salad that I would chew with raw veg and nuts?

    Are roasted salted nuts healthy or do they have to be raw to be healthy ?

    • @dboyd1651
      @dboyd1651 8 месяцев назад

      Any salt is not necessary in a human diet. There is enough salt in vegetables. People in the US eat salt, sugar and oil in excess. It is better to eat unsalted nuts.

      Roasted nuts also have oil in them

    • @TheRealJennHill
      @TheRealJennHill 4 месяца назад

      When roasting the nuts, the natural oils are brought to a temperature that degrades it and increases acrylamides too High, which are known for causing cancer.

    oil is not burnt like fast food it takes two hours after struggle, I am diabetic if I eat lentil, green and other rubbish my sugar shoots up, I have tested with glucometer for one year and diet you suggest is not ok for me, animal protiens are far far better for me, I have done it practically but you deny all such things

      When you eat a diet with animal products, you consume a lot of fat. This turns off your ability to store glucose in your cells. So then if you eat carbs, your glucose spikes. The key is to eat a low fat plant based diet so you can improve your insulin sensitivity and process carbs.
