Thank you so much for watching this series! This is the first time I've done a long-video-series like this, and the support you all gave to it means a lot to me. As of now this is likely how I'll do playthroughs for future game releases. This is the final episode of Scarlet, but I am working on a video for MandJTV Plays that will cover what happened after this. I hope you're looking forward to it!

I love that Raifort is just unabashedly an evil person. She tells your class about the treasures of ruin. She recruits a curious student to verify their existence. She instructs this student to release these walking disasters with the barest excuse that it would be nice to free Pokémon trapped so long.
Oh, and she only gets a student involved because she is under too much scrutiny from Clavell.
Girl wanted to unleash 4 ancient evils and keep them for herself, only letting you keep them "for now" because she's slightly fond of you.
It's like she was the villain team leader of a non-existent other game and was ordered to serve as a teacher for community service after her plans were foiled and she's still scheming the whole time.
I joke that Nemona did all the normal protagonist stuff the year before you arrived, maybe she beat Raifort’s evil team
I think what adds on to this is the fact that she gives you a TM for Nasty Plot, and that alone is even more hilarious

This makes perfect sense. lol Still, I love that evil woman. Her style, her grace and her personality are great. XD She's definitely unabashedly evil and her telling me about the ruinous Pokemon did feel like she was trying to recruit me as an underling for her secret evil plan. lol Too bad for her, I will never give her the ruinous Pokemon. They were a pain to catch! I even had to use a masterball on Chi-Yu, because that mofo would NOT stay in a ball and I wasted 30 Pokeballs on that fracker! I tried different ones, like the Dusk Ball, Timer Ball, Ultra Ball, even just regular ones and nothing. :'( I really should have used the power of subway! LOL
@@markymoo2151 Right? Honestly, I love this game. Bugs or no bugs, the story and the characters are perfection. Also, the music that plays during the battle of the ruinous four sounds like Tunak Tunak and someone even made a mix of it. lol

What I got is that Top Champion isn't a title that can be dethroned, she is top champion because she is La Primera, she is the first.

@@drooprtroopr6969 it's not that she is first it's that she runs the place and the responsibilitys. You get called the best after your 2nd win. You have to beat her weaker team to get basic champion status but she cant be dethroned cause it's literally her job title
@@drooprtroopr6969it's probably similar to Alola where the Pokemon league is relatively new. It makes sense since Geeta is the one that formed the Elite 4
I will never understand why they made Geeta’s Ave Glimmora. It should have been her lead so that the toxic spikes would matter and then made Kingambit the Ace to make full use of its ability

I haven't seen anyone mention this before but I caught it in my own playthrough. When the camera pans to Geeta smiling, there's a slight rumbling in the background audio, that goes away when Geeta turns her head to Clavell a few seconds later. I thought it was a nice touch since Geeta is politely telling Penny she doesn't have a choice and the rumbling is her menacing aura lol

Mikey is prob the only person I will watch playing a new Pokemon game in hour long episodes. This man still stays entertaining even when doing a normal playthrough. Def my fav poketuber
I love how when armarouge uses a move that isn’t armor cannon it starts putting its arms together then goes “oh crap i’m not using armor cannon” and spreads them out again
Armarouge also uses the armor cannon animation for shadow ball. Maybe all off the ball/sphere/bullet moves that are blocked by the Bulletproof ability use the armor cannon animation?

Dragon Pulse uses the cannon animation. I got a Tera Dragon Charcadet so it worked out great.
The writing of all the gym leaders (especially Larry) is incredible

Mikey, about the Mycelium Might Spore vs Insomnia interaction, yes Mycelium Might does ignore the Insomnia when Spore is used, it does not ignore the ability’s secondary effect of instantly waking the Pokemon up. In short, yes you can put a Pokemkn with Insomnia to sleep, but Insomnia’s secondary effect will immediately kick in after the fact. Ignoring abilities is different than fully negating them

Okay, so the DLC is definitely gonna have Raifort getting up to some kind of shenanigans, right? She said she’d let the player keep the Treasures of Ruin “for now” and then gave them Nasty Plot, so like, it’s gotta be something.
Either she’s gonna be a villain in the dlc or she already was a villain back when nemona wasn’t a champion yet

I loved Mikey yelling Burn, also I liked the part when Mikey was so dramatic with the Armor Cannon to the Sudowoodo and then his vibe and Vulcan were killed by Sturdy and Stone Edge
I think Brassius' thorny whip is actually a small water hose, makes sense considering he's an artist and a gardener
Kind of a bummer that once you do the Post campaign stuff the three friends just become static npcs like the rest.
Wish each gym leader would have its own special music to make them even more unique, the one that plays usually would probably go best with probably Kofu.
Did you expect the game to add new cutscenes for them every week since the game came out, did you think you'd get to rematch them as many times as you want, you can already do that in the academy ace tournament, just depends on your luck, like how is it a bummer, their stories had to at least be put on hold at some point.
I feel like Mikey will feel less afraid of brassius and more sad for him when he takes the art class
1:50 Actually Sada only died a few minutes before the game started since we meet the box legend right after it loses the territory struggle, where she died, so she really was just a neglectful parent I think.
True, true i think her main issue was being so obsessed with the time machine which made her neglect her child
There’s hints that it wasn’t the alpha Koraidon that killed her though, so those were likely years apart
@@umapessoa240 that’s interesting, even if that was the case she definitely wasn’t the best parent for quite some time while she was alive, probably due to her obsession with the Time Machine and trust issues from her husband walking out on her but I think it’s still clear that she wasn’t dead the entire time Arven was alone, which is what Micheal was somewhat implying lol

I’ve really enjoyed this series! Side note, has anyone else noticed that all the gym leaders have a different way of throwing their pokeballs? It’s such a small detail, but they’re all so unique in their throws 😄

There are very minor things with this game that I absolutely love. For example, in my rematch with Grusha it wasn't snowing when we went outside, so his line was different.
The Shrine Quartet are defined my favorite legends, especially Chien-Pao

This may be the finale but there are interesting cutscenes in the school that are worth watching, as much as I enjoy the snow mechanic the saying would be “hail yeah! Snow no!”

Loved the video! It may be too late, but there are some minor stories involving Arven, Nemona, and Penny in the post game that I would to see reactions to - small epilogues for them all similar to befriending teachers.

This game is so well-written! I don’t get tired of saying this! I’m always entertained by the dialogues, specially with Mikey’s voice acting!
Mycelium Might worked as intended. It ignores abilities upon use, which means a pokemon that wouldn't be affected at first takes the effect. So that's why Bannete was affected at first, but Insomnia specifically works in that when it was reapplied after the move, the pokemon would instantly wake up because it's in battle.
Yeah, abilities like insomnia, limber, etc. kinda need to still work bc they'd just be even less viable than they already are otherwise. But mycellium might ignoring abilities like Magic Bounce, Magic Guard, Good as Gold, etc. is huge for a pokemon that gets access to moves like leech Seed and Spore if you think about it.

It actually blew my mind. I used a quick ball on Koraidon and caught it. i set my controller down and walked away. I genuinely didn't believe that i got the quick ball capture first try.
I love on how Mikey made a snow leopard, moose, orca/killer whale and fire/grass type Pokémon and in Paldea the was a moose and snow leopard as legendaries and there was a whale and dolphin Pokémon(orcas are the biggest type of dolphins but are called whales)and there was a fire/grass type, so in conclusion Mikey predicted some of Gen-9’s Pokémon.

Toadscruels ability did fully work, it's just that insomnia only takes effect AFTER the pokemon falls asleep, so the ability wasn't even used, insomnia just acts afterwards instead of beforehand( like the ability shed skin)

This series was so much fun. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your reactions to the story beats and twists throughout after I had passed that point myself. It made the whole experience of Scarlet that much more rewarding. Looking forward to the play throughs of the DLC stories!

I'm glad to have watched your playthrough series all the way through as I've been playing at about the same pace as you've been releasing videos. I do, however, wish that you would give your final thoughts on the game (aside from performance issues and bugginess.)
As an avid watcher of your videos, I really appreciate this style of series, as well as, of course, the editing that goes into making these enjoyable.
Had my Cryogonal Kelvin (Champion of Paldea) on this last Geeta match, and at that Kingambit I thought "ehh why not? Sheer cold". It was the first time in the game it landed.
What a fun Series to Watch!! I had to take a break and play my own Scarlet without spoilers, but this was fun to watch while I was ahead doing the Post Game and completing the Pokedex. Love your videos, please keep making them!

I found in my playthrough, Geeta counters just needed fire, grass & dark.
I used meowscarada, skeledirge against the majority of her entire team

57:30 I know this is posted way late but I believe Mycelian Might only allows you to use status moves on Pokemon regardless of their ability. So you can use Spore on an Insomnia Pokemon due to Mycelian Might while normally Insomnia prevents it from affecting it at all but it doesn't negate Insomnia. So the Pokemon will always wake up immediately afterwards unlike if you suppress the ability.
I think Mycelium Might ingores abilities when applying the status effect itself, but Insomnia doesn't cause the Pokemon to not be able to be afflicted with the sleep status effect- it causes it to wake up instantly. That's probably what happened in the Ryme rematch.
I have a scarily low attention span, yet i still find myself fully watching all of these videos! I love your content and am exited to watch another playthrough when next pokemon game comes out (and even until then i have your other content to look forward to lol)

@@Ditto.007 If it helps, in the Pokémon Special manga, there is an anime called Proteam Omega. It's a mech anime where the mechs are piloted by a Venusaur, Pikachu, Aerodactyl, Snorlax, Poliwrath, and Gyarados. One of the Pokespe characters has a toy robot from the show, and a Rotom gets to possess that robot for a battle.

Hey Michael, if you ever play this game again (recording or not) here’s a tip: you never really need to make a sandwich precisely. So, if you’re making a ham sandwich, you can just stack the ham like a tower and throw the top bread on the plate. For some reason the top of the sandwich doesn’t actually matter for the recipe.
I feel so sad that arven, even at the beginning of the game, is known as "professors son" And not "arven"
