It's difficult to distinguish the color visually between new green vs old green, but 4 digit number on the Rolex tag will clarify. You don't need to compare side by side by just checking the Rolex tag. 126610LV-0002 -- new green 126610LV-0001 -- old green

The new markII bezel is LEAPS AND BOUNDS better.. so much so, that I literally do not even like the MarkI anymore!! I always said this and now its more true than ever before that the MarkI Starbucks always just felt like half a hulk.. where as now with the markII bezel it finally has its own charm now and as others have said it more closely and PROPERLY might I add resembles the 50th anniversary piece.. MarkII bezel is a win all the way around !!!
I got the call from the AD for Starbucks submariner in April 2024 for $10,800. My third luxury watch after green mint smooth bezel day just and Omega Aqua Terra. It’s has the TFit glide. Best thing Rolex has done
I prefer the new "lighter" mark 2 and I was lucky enough to get it a couple of months ago from one my ADs. Couldn't be happier. To top it off, a couple of days ago I went to a different Rolex boutique for the very first time and walked out with black date submariner. No joke, no kidding. To say that that doesn't happen often would be the understatement of the year but it did happen to me so I have both subs now. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised to say the least.
Mk2 far better. 1) It is the original 70th anniversary 2) Closer to the first Kermit also anniversary 3) The most important. When you see them in low light mk2 make the difference. I have it and I love it!!!
The MK2 looks very tacky with that bright green bezel insert. The MK1 looks much more subdued and classy. I think the people who missed out on the MK1 and only got one when the MK2 was released are the ones you’ll find trying to say the MK2 looks better. Haha!
Nah. The MK2 is much nicer. Especially in the flesh. There is a reason the Rolex design team quickly ditched the washed out minty green from the failed MK1.
I realized it too, on pictures the green does not look nearly as good as in person. I saw both mk's in real and prefer the rich forest green of the mk1 over the more dry lime green of the mk 2.

In person, MK2 is much better. The argument of MK1 of being more classy doesn’t even work in person. MK2 look more expensive more special.

AD will never give you a MK2 since you have MK1. Rolex will always change to the better and not the other way.

i have the mk1 since october 2020 and the green is not like on this video. i think the light and the camera distort the picture.
