- Today, we're diving deep into the Rolex Submariner 126610LV, affectionately known as the "Starbucks" due to its captivating green hue reminiscent of the famous coffee chain's logo.
The Rolex Submariner 126610LV is more than just a timepiece; it's a symbol of Rolex's rich heritage and commitment to excellence. Designed as a tool watch for divers, this watch boasts a robust stainless steel construction, a unidirectional rotating bezel, and a waterproof Oyster case, ensuring reliability even in the harshest underwater conditions.
But the Submariner 126610LV isn't just built for the depths of the ocean; it's also a stylish companion for everyday wear. Its striking green bezel and dial, paired with the classic Submariner design, make it a standout piece in any collection.
While the 126610LV is undeniably impressive, as a watch enthusiast, I have a personal preference for the older 16610 reference. The 16610's slimmer proportions and classic tool watch aesthetic hold a special place in many collectors' hearts. However, the modern advancements and enhanced features of the 126610LV cannot be overlooked.
Join us as we explore the heritage, functionality, and timeless appeal of the Rolex Submariner 126610LV. Whether you're an avid diver or simply appreciate fine craftsmanship, this review is sure to captivate your interest.

Which Rolex generation do you prefer, the previous 5-digit or the modern, 6-digit references?
Ceramic with the maxi case.
5 digits... purity. Tool watch not jewelry
@@Mega-zi7ys6 digit more luxury
@@BaderAlansari-h6e which is not nice. If want luxury should be real high end. Like patek and RM
One and only 126610LV aka Starbucks
Great watch with the little bit of something special 💚
Ive got the MK1 and love the muted green a little bit more.
Thank you! And thanks for watching! I really appreciate it. 😀
Hey, nice video. Might I offer a observation: your description of the Triplock Crown feature was a little unclear as it appeared you described the crown, caseback and crystal gaskets are what make up the Triplock system when in fact, the name refers to the 3-part waterproof barrier located within the crown assembly, hence Triplock *Crown*.
Anyway, good luck and thanks for the video.
I was lucky enough to get this from my AD in October. For 3 decades I've owned everything from Blancpain to Zenith and I keep coming back to this watch and a couple other models from Rolex.
why are you watching a video of it if you have it? lol -

Everyone comes back to Rolex
Excellent point about the AR coating. I love Omega as well, but the AR coding on the Crystal scratches easily and cannot be buffed out.
Just got my mk2 starbucks/kermit yesterday, I absolutely love it!
It's so good! Congrats!
I don’t own either of these watches, however I am pretty excited that I’ll be collecting a gmt master 2 this week. What are your thoughts on the platinum bezel yacht master ?
Congrats. Yacht masters aren’t my thing, so I don’t have a strong opinion. But hey, wear what you love.
Appreciate the distant wrist view and high quality, what a beauty
You bet! I like to believe it helps people see the wearability.
nice video - the lighting really shows off the new green bezel's character
Excellent review. I’ve been waiting for someone to do a good mk2 bezel video!
I appreciate that!
Great vid,
I want a green sub to complete my collection.
Money is a risk at the moment.
36mm 124270
42mm 226570
40mm LV Sub
Is the goal at the moment.
But if the gmt turns steel with black and grey, maybe that will do the sub. But the clasp is a feature i want.
That would be a fantastic collection of rolex
4 digits. Mine is a 1967 5513 on original European-version riveted Rolex oyster bracelet. No way this goes in the water ever. I bought it because it looks fabulous with its patina, though more subtle and discreet than the modern Subs. Remember iconic status increases with age. Personally, I don't go with collection pieces in the water. Will be more like a recent Omega or Breitling - my support watches - that will do the job perfectly, but they're not collection pieces.
Did you sell your black dial explorer 2?
Hey mate, if you press down on the "30" on the bezel , is there a slight movement/spring ? Mine has it.
There is a slight slight give to the bezel, but not much. There are 4 spring ball bearings pressing against the bezel from the case. I talk about it in the video.
@@horologyproject Thanks !
Amen to keeping the AR coating on the inside. I hated my Omega for the reason that the AR coating scuffed so easily and so quickly. Putting scratchable AR coating on top of an unscratchable crystal just doesn't make sense to me
Exactly
the best sub is the one you can afford and get at an AD 😅
Hello, good video. The grey price on this sub is 40-50% higher than MSRP from an AD !! Not similar at all.
Very nice if you got it recently it may be the MK2 with a lighter green more like the original non ceramic Kermit
It looks cooler than black one ❤ hope to own one soon 🤞 great review mate 👌
Big upgrade on the insipid MK1 bezel and less garish than the Hulk. The best so far.
Agreed
I've worn my Kermit for 15 years. Bought it slightly worn in '09 for I think $5000.
I think this one looks much better than the fan favorite Hulk.
So which do you think is better? The submariner or the Seamaster?
Submariner. No doubt. But the Seamaster is a nice watch and obviously a lot more affordable. The Seamaster is similar quality. But the submariner gets the little things right. The sub is also more boring, but I trust it to stand the test of time.
Joke of the day.
I think the movement in the Seamaster is superior, but the ergonomics of the sub are better.
@@arcuz7862rolex by far is better you cant even compare 😆
It depends what you like. Various brands have astonishing pieces from the 1950s-1960s like the rare Submariner 5517 with sword hands, the 6538 big crown, or the military Seamaster 300 on bakelite, or the Fifty Fathoms "norad". All of them are over 50K though and you won't swim with them.
I wouldn't say best submariner yet (not even close) but it's definitely a good one.
I tend to favor the 16610 myself. What is your favorite sub?
@@horologyproject14060M, 5513 1966 gilt dial
The increase in the lug width and gigantic clasp are real disappointments.
A watch is meant to be worn. A car is meant to be driven. An instrument is meant to be played. Don’t baby ur stuff…..
that ignores collectors
Would love to see this side by side with the hulk
Wish I had both!
@@horologyproject Haha that would great! Brilliant video though
I have this too 😃👍
Buy Rolex from Ad and sell on the grey market and wear a Seiko 👍
I can’t watch these HDR videos. So painful to my eyes. Sorry
I've been waiting for mine since September of 2022
I hope you get it soon!
I got mine today
when you go to the store and order it how long does it take to get one of these on average? do you pay at the store
Too expensive. You're paying for a name.
How so? It’s 10k please explain a comp. I’ll help Please don’t bring up omega
@@dinhtran-ld4hz Why not bring up omega because it’s the answer? In 1970 you could buy a GMT for a GI’s monthly salary. Now they’re the price of an engineer’s monthly salary.
@@dinhtran-ld4hz omega have better watches. But it’s an analogue watch, so I agree. Rolex keeps its value and is often more beautiful 🤩
But omega are amazing watches but now overpriced, saving for a Rolex is the smarter move
@@patrik3450So you think a brand utilizing the greatest horological development in 250 years is overpriced, yet you are prepared to pay more for a less advanced watch which, in all probability, you stand just a 1% chance actually buying without a significant purchase history with an AD. Tell me,which drugs are you on? 🤦🏻♂️
@@patrik3450 No it's not. Unless you are wealthy only a fool would spend that kind of money on a watch. Rolexes used to be worn by adventurers; climbers, divers, soldiers, etc. Now they're owned by soft men who work in offices and stare at a computer.
