oh boy time for everyone to disagree in a definitely and totally respectful manner like on every other tier list video
As right now The Rock is on the rotation, for me it depends on the car, I love it in the Gen 4/Arca as they give you room to slide and run any line, but in the trucks or xfinity. It’s a single grove and a pain to get right.
Ya a lot of the picks are hard I tried to frame them in the lens of my favorite setup I’ve ever driven on each track
For me, there's such a big difference between tracks I like to "drive" and tracks I like to "race" that they'd basically be two entirely different lists. Martinsville I really enjoy driving for the hard braking zone and loose on throttle. But just like you said, I've had two maybe three races there that haven't been total disasters once other cars are introduced.
I’ve ran races at Martinsville with 150 lap + green flag runs and it’s such a good time. Sadly that was a few years ago.
That's back when people on iracing had skill
You should do a tier list on oval cars or series where you explain what is good and what is bad about them
Can't find much to be mad about. Superspeedway racing is vastly more fun in the 87s where you have to actually drive the car (and the field strings out a bit) anyway.
I would put Chicagoland at S tier, most tracks in iRacing are single groove bottom for the oval side because of the terrible multigroove model, but Chicagoland and Old Atlanta are 2 of the tracks that multi-groove racing is possible. Homestead also is similar to this but it doesn't work as good.
I would love to see this on the road course side of things
That would be more of a comedy video given I have only seriously raced on like 5 road courses haha
Jerez reigns supreme
Tbh new kentucky with the silver crown is some of the most fun racing ive ever had the pleasure of doing. For us old schoolers its almost exactly like the NASCAR Racing 4 online experience where its the oerfect balance of hitting your marks and all around driver skill and using aerodynamics to advance position or gold back oncoming runs
Completely agree with you about Iowa! Fav asphalt oval of mine
I think the short track racing shines best in full grid single split ARCA races.
I swear, so many times when you make a video, I say "Frick! I shoulda thought of that!" lol.
New Texas is so good 😭 i get it though you described it well.
I knew this guy was on some crack whenever you put in Lana in D tear and auto club in a tear. First of all auto club is just not good at all. It’s a super speedway sidetracked with practically zero banking, which makes for some really kind of fair racing, but the New Atlanta makes for a loss of Chihuahua didn’t even sometimes three white racing with the loss of a strategies interesting ideas and lots of aggressiveness which is why I just skip to the end and check out everything else.
sorry about your chihuahua
@@DJYeeJay lmao
I put Five Flags into S-Tier personally. Due in part to being home track status of course, but also because it's really all that and a bag of chips lol. Big fishbowl of a half-mile, I encourage anyone who doesn't have it already to try it ASAP..... New Smyrna is pretty cool to run too. I like my Florida tracks.
Hey Dj! Love your channel, just had a question about iracing, I know they have new Atlanta but is old 'legacy' Atlanta still in the game? Thanks!
Yes it is
The gen4's ran it last week
I’m definitely biased being from Kansas City, but my top S tier is Iowa. Not because it’s just a few hours away from me but because it’s a short track that drives like a speedway. My next S tier is Talladega because i love super speedways. My As are Atlanta, Dega then Kansas. I love a multi groove speedway. Kansas is nice because the grooves widen like a dirt track, eapeially with the 2012 remodeling.
When you get a good Martinsville race, it’s S tier. When not (95% of the time), it’s D or F.
Does iracing have rubber banding?
Thompson is the hardest freaking track to go fast on. easy when you're okay with going slow
W list
what about road courses
✋ petition to make centripetal circuit a permanent unchangable S tier for everyone.
Centripetal belongs in o tier with Oxford Plains
@@coltontindle is that bad?
@@AGLiRacing5 No, just a circle, lol.
@@coltontindle that’s why it’s s tier!
@@AGLiRacing5 I was just making a shape joke, but I'm not funny. O well. 🤷♂️
As primarily a short track racer I can't stand racing at Iowa. Myrtle Beach is definitely the best short track on iRacing and it sucks that it was demolished in meat space.
Five Flags: "First short track opinion..."
Bristol: "AM I A JOKE TO YOU?!"
OK, 12 year member of the Nascar Series, what would I change from your list
S -
A - I move Chicgoland to B
A - Kansas is not better than a C
A - Phoenix is a clear D
B - I move Indy down to C
B - Kentucky is a C for both
B - Vega is an A
C - I move Charlotte up to Level B
C - New Teas is a D
D - Place Concord here
F -
Not a bad list
Time to buy those a and s tracks i dont have
I mostly drive the IR-18 open wheel, so my list is obv quite different, lol.
7:41 my home state but I don't know why they took iowa off the schedule and no iowa is not my favorite because I don't really have a favorite as i like most tracks evenly
I had the most fun recently in Atlanta. I did not like Miami coupel weeks ago. I must be a noob that likes drafting.
some of the best A car racing ive seen has been on kentucky
So, and this is my bias but i feel it is valid, Oxford is one of those tracks that if they were to fix iRacings single groove/track model issue, it'd be one of the best tracks on the service. However, due to most users dire addiction to full throttle and light switch throttle, people hate on it. Its is the most throttle sensitive track on the service and really teaches throttle control to anyone. IRL, it used to be a 3-4 usable groove track (until softer tires came to the track) and it was that way on here via 2016/2017. All in all, solid list, but I must always defend Oxford for some dumb reason to the vast majority of iRacing that wants it deleted from the service lol 😂😂
Next up: Ranking every iRacing track
Richmond is S tier for short track racing, but I’ll accept an A
I’d fight someone over that Martinsville take. When you do get green flag runs it’s my favorite short track in the sim.
Never been this early before😮
Welcome to the secret society
You should do this in 2024
Wow, I am stunned. I did not like a single one of your placements.
I thought we would agree on something...
Sad.
Good Video tho
Kentucky at a B!?! Homie.... 😅
Wheres the dirt tracks
"First short track opinion"
((BRISTOL IS OFFENDED))
Hi
Kind of wild seeing someone else's opinion. I am a huge fan of flat tracks and superspeedways. I really like M'ville, N. Hampshire, Phoenix, Tona, Dega. I do prefer old atlanta over the new new one although its fun as well. I do run A-C mostly though so there is a bit of difference in our thinking. Thanks for the video's.
Old Atlanta is an A. New Atlanta is an F
S for new and C for old
Certainly the best raced I've watched since the Coke 600
I like new atlanta. First entry and now i am angry and unsubscribing
GOOD RIDDANCE NEW ATLANTA ENJOYER
@@DJYeeJay new atlanta is a ton of fun in the gen 4 car
New Hampshire=F Tier
old hampshire is way better
Nah on a good setup New Hampshire is good
@@DJYeeJayit’s okay to be wrong every now and then. 😂
