Hey Jim, I always look forward to your videos the most! Nice shooting, buddy! I'm never disappointed and always learn something from your wholesome airgun hunting videos.
Hi Jim, you have one of the best channels and I own .22 and a .25 air rifle and to know you can successfully hunt with them is affirming my purchase. - Michael in California
@americanairgunhuter thank you. Thats alll I need to say. Airgun hunting isn't as big as powerder fire guns but with someone who like airguns as i do thank you. Your platform lets go demonstrate what airguns can do and the ethics of airguns. You are an inspiration.
Alright another great one from ol' road dog Chapman! I really enjoyed it as always. Boy that Brocock looks sweet. Great shot Jim put him down on the spot. I appreciate the insight on all the gear you use as well. Thanks buddy
I've been using Leapers UTG scopes on my air rifle and a .22lr. I love them for the price point. How does this new Leapers compare price wise? And is the reticle etched or wire?
I have been using Tactacams for several years on gun, bow, and crossbow setups. I set them up on three settings. Green is 2.7k at 30 frames for low light conditions, dawn, dusk, and cloudy days, heavy foliage shaded areas. Darker Blue is 2.7k at 30 frames with more zoom, and light blue mode is 1080p at 120 frames per second for good light filming and slow motion. 4k video is very clear, but can be difficult for some computers to post process videos as the files are large. Good pig harvest! No tracking...
After this hunt I went through the full set up with Tactacam, and customized and standardized the settings across multiple camera. Really like these so far!
@@americanairgunhunter I modified a ball cap to attached a Fishi Tactacam which can be set at 1080p 60 frame per second maximum. It comes Wide Angle from the factory, but you can buy a 2x lens if you want more magnification. It is a great combination to have a second camera on your head besides a weapon mounted set up. There is much less camera/video shake at the shot, and no matter where the approaching animal is, you can point the camera on your hat where ever your head is pointed and you can film without having to take your hands off your weapon or move your weapon to film. I also glue sunshades above the lens to reduce sun glare if you have to film facing toward the sun. Sun glare can make a video almost useless.
Nice hunting report. I felt the tension when you had to pull the trigger. Was capulated back in time to 1971. As a little boy I was sometimes allowed to pull a steel cable during the bird catch (15 Oct-15 Nov) with the help of my father to pull the bird net shut. We caught European birds during the bird migration but not for money. I still feel that rising heartbeat. Now I wanted to pull the trigger for you. In 1972 it was suddenly banned in the Benelux. For many years to come we still grabbed some birds from the sky with "our hands". Today, the fines and possible imprisonment are inhumanely high. Only diehards really can't resist. Gun laws have also changed a lot. Fortunately, we are still allowed to have and buy air rifles here in Belgium and the Netherlands without limiting the power. But because of all that European stuff, I think the end is in sight. I look forward to your next hunt. I can only dream that we could hunt wild boars here with the heavy air rifles. They are becoming a real plague for our farmers in the less wooded areas because of the green movements. Just like crows, jackdaws, magpies, starlings, gulls and wild pigeons. Thank God you weren't born here.
All told I lived in the Netherlands and Belgium for about 10 years, and really enjoyed it. My first child was born in Gouda, and for a long time I thought I'd stay there for the rest of my life. That's where I started shooting airguns, but I've got to say I really missed hunting.
@@americanairgunhunter Yes, I'm sure. But you're historically notorious for being quite the marksman I'm prior USAF Security Forces with the marksmanship device (ribbon) with centered bronze star (multiple weapon, expert marksmanship) and we multiple weapon "double expert marksmen" recognize each other. Beautiful kill shot ,,,, Cant wait to get out on a big hunt with my Brocock Commander XR 25 cal. Shooting ground squirrels and rabbits but I really would love to get it out and get it’s full Potential to use! Keep your plinking on target 🤠
I live on a big farm in Alabama we used to have no wild hogs till about four years ago. Now they are everywhere I was walking by this creek the other day and seen where they made a big wallow to coat there body’s in mud to keep the bugs off them and most of the trees around there have mud all over where they rub back and forth on they do a lot of damage to my land . I let some of my friends kill them from time to time . I’ve shot a few myself with my Zeus 72 cal that gun is a blast to shoot . And I’ve killed three deer with it as well . Great video man be safe
Thanks Randy. I hunted Alabama the first year they allowed airguns for deer but didn't know the pig problem was big there. Yeah, that Zeus is a force to reckon with!
Hi Allen' I didn't fully seat the magazine when I pushed it in. When I went to cycle the pellet was blocked until I pushed it fully into place. It was all me.
Jim, love your content and am looking forward to getting in the woods come winter to put some bacon in the freezer. I was wondering if you have any references that I can use to try and start a petition to my state to lower the airgun requirements for game like feral pigs and smaller. My state, Alabama, currently requires .30 minimum for feral pigs, groundhog, and any predators. With the current technology going into airguns these restrictions on caliber minimum are outdated, with us having the ability to crank .22 up to almost 80ftlbs and .25 up to almost 100ftlbs.

Are the reticle on the new leapers thick and dark .. I have a few & they are excellent looking up in trees, in thick brush and I can still see it excellent.....does it have a zero stop? When will they be available.....nice shot...
This is a FFP scope, and the reticle thickens up nicely at high magnification. I really like the CQB type of reticle they've used. And the glass is really outstanding. Leapers announced the Integrix line at SHOT, not sure of their current market status, but will see if I can get a timeline and post back here.
Hi Phil, they are expensive. The glass is from Japan, and it is a scope to compete in a market segment where we have traditionally not seen Leapers. The Integrix is the flagship of this company. I signed on to consult with Leapers as they develop a line that really addresses the need of airgunners and specifically airgun hunters. In the coming months you will see a lot of the features incorporated into the Integrix line, migrating to the ACCUSHOT PRO series at a much lower price point. I'll be posting about these scopes as they are developed, and I get to test them out.
Thanks. I’m new to Aragon hunting. At what distance were you shooting the hog at? How many foot pounds were you shooting at? Would you say 60 yards is the maximum you could kill a hog at in terms of penetrating power?

Looks awesome that gun. Sounded quiet without suppressor.
It is fairly quiet. The shrouded barrel has baffles and is effective.
