  • Last week I talked about all my summer makes and I wanted to make sure I talked about the Aster Dress from ‪@truebias‬ . It is a great pattern and best of all it is a good one if you are looking for a garment that will transition from summer to fall. I talk about sizing, pattern description along with adjustments I made, in addition to posting pictures of the actual adjustments on the #sewingpattern pieces.
As always visit our website at www.massonlifes... for links on the where you can get the patterns and fabrics I talked about in this video.

Great review. Love that color on you. I feel the same way about being modest. Im in that stage in my life where I'm not interested in crop tops and open backs. 😅 You really have to be mindful of the adjustments you need to make with some of these patterns. I'm so glad you touched on this. Some patterns aren't worth putting all of that time into modifications and adjustments. Thanks for the honest review 😊

Tea, you totally understand where I’m coming from and I think we can both relate because I feel like we both have to work on adjustments for some patterns a lot more than others.

Really cute dress. Agree with you on your linen comments! Sorry, linen lovers, but the wrinkling can be hard to get used to. And, luv the fact you shopped your stash. Modesty is beautiful!

Hi Alex! You look super adorable in that pattern 🤩that was a great idea copying the Mcalls facing! Taking note of that for my future patterns. ✅As cute as that pattern is it wouldn’t look good on me 😢there is no waist definition and I’m a D cup it would make me look like I’m wearing a tent ⛺️ 😂. That definitely is a fantasy dress for me! I work from home but I do attend special events on the weekends like theatre etc. I don’t have time for those complicated patterns(fantasy patterns) lol. I usually like the more simple classic pattern. Where I can sew it up quickly. I love designs from Banana Republic. I tend to go for Viki sews patterns. A good blazer and button down with jeans work best for my style 😉I have already started my transition to fall makes. Long pants, 3/4 sleeve peplum tops and of course a cardigan, and a cropped sweater to go over short sleeve tshirts. 😅 Can’t wait to see what you’ve picked for your transition/ fall outfits! Please share 🥰🤗

Will do for sure. Still working on all of it. I do love a good Banana Republic outfit. They are just classic styles that well work from going out, working or just lounging (if you like to look really good while you are lounging).

My granddaughter is trying to convince me a little skin is in, I’m 66, so a little further ‘up there’, not gonna happen. I would go farther to say I wish she’d show a little less skin. Difference between tasteful skin and trashy. The sheath dress silhouette doesn’t do me any favors, so I do love a square neckline, but won’t be getting the Aster dress. Looks great tho.
