I feel like having 4 finals has generally confused everyone, I like the idea of having 3 splits but obviously it needs some work because really teams need a way to fix their rosters between winter and spring if that's the way they want to go, winter split ended and it was like 2 weeks with like EMEA's starting up, etc it just wasn't planned out very well - They would also have to better match it with MSI because teams need time to actually prep - not a week and then heading into MSI.

I really liked the LEC format, and I agree with a lot of the things that Odo said to improve it. Things like having the loser of the second winners match swap groups so there isn't any double jeopardy situation and having road shows for the finals. One other thought was that there should be a greater reward for winning more than one LEC season. If you win 2, you should be guaranteed Worlds, and if you win all 3, you should be guaranteed top 2 in the seasons finals, where all the other teams basically play a bracket to be able to play the 3 win team as the Grand Finals boss. Otherwise the format is great, and it feels like teams still have some control of their own fate even in the Summer split after two splits. Teams are having to evaluate themselves quickly and make corrections, and the low/no win teams (9th,10th) have longer to focus on themselves and attempt to correct the issues.
If you're not doing a road show for the split finals, they should at least be in a bigger stadium in Berlin. The finals should definitely not be in the studio.

No it would be pretty boring tbh not to mention would cause absolute chaos because there are too many countries to actually have a tournament involving multiple teams built from EMEA and LEC teams. Although it would be a good way to bring some EMEA players into the spotlight for people.

The new format is killing the hype, changes are definitely needed. I think that there should be also "spring finals" before MSI to decide which two teams are getting there, but for example with top 4 teams instead of 6, but with mulitple bo5, so we can end the discussion of sending the best teams to MSI. I also feel like the reason why ppl liked Worlds is the tounament feeling, games everyday for hours, even after a group stage, but the LEC format really lacks that, especially in the season finals. There is too long break after summer split, there are 2 bo5 a week in a span of a month. This kills the hype entirely. Condensing it into two weeks with bo5 in other studios (for first week it is not neccesary to be hosted in a stadium) would definitely pump up hype. Ironically, the most fun part of the splits is watching a group stage which is the closest to a tournament format.

But now I don't know why, he is looking through drafts and remembers the games surely, but I am lacking the insights and analysis. Which is sad, I think this is what he gave us a lot in the early time of hosting.

Right now you can just be SK and go to season finals being a 6th place team so thats why winning splits feels kinda meaningless. It would also make the season finals shorter. Right now they are very streched out which makes them feel like another split instead of a tournament.

Seeding in season finals: - Does anyone acutally liked the fact that in the finals there were koi rather than heretics? Most people prefered heretics. Another thing is that besides msi/worlds qualification, there is no reward for winning a split league wise. Fact that G2 or mad was not autoqualified after winning a split is a little but crazy. In my opinion it would be much better if you would get 1-3 teams in season finals from winning a split and the rest of the teams based on the summer result (2-5 teams because teoretically team can win all splits) in that scenario you have both somehow meaningful (especially spring) splits and you rest of the teams are actually the top3-6 teams at the moment rather than 7th/8th team still qualifiaing. or even 10th, lets remeber that vit still could qualify if some teams did worse in summer which is crazy.
Probably why game is dying because it is now harder to even play casually because the skill required to be atleast competitive is so high compared before.
Everybody seems to be biased against Mad. Like when they loose against G2, they are the worst and when they beat them its just G2 trolling. G2 are best team in Europe, but they are beatable and they do a lot of mistakes is most games. Maybe it was not G2 trolling, but Mad exploiting those mistakes. How you can deny the fact they are able to play against G2 toe to toe, when they won so much in last years in such a dominant fashion? G2 are better team now, but Mad are obviously second and the gap is mostly in Mads internal problems and their non-serious attitude towards game.

I don't get how G2 can be so consistent yet have the most insecure fanbase in the world that has a major meltdown everytime someone suggest they might have competition.

This year format was terrible, 9 BO1 games for play-offs?? like what the hell are we doing, that is pure garbage. Literally wasted a year of LEC with this format cause the "achievements" mean nothing with how easy it is to get it and you can't compare them to actual achievements of the past cause these ones will always just look like a joke next to it.
