proud to be an aboriginal rest in peace yothu yindi your a legend to all us indigenous people here in Australia & around the world your music lives on in us ❤
I was fortunate enough to see them twice at a small venue in Garberville, northern California, in late 1989 and about 10 years later. One of the most inspiring groups I ever saw, and I'm 86 years old and spent many years in Las Vegas and L.A.. When I am down I pull out their CD and get right again. They are ageless.
@ThatsMomHere you have to decide if a Yes or No best serves your community. What is the question in referendum? You have asked several people here, are they people you know & trust?
It’s 2024 and I just discovered this song via RUclips Music as a recommendation. And it was spot on because I absolutely love it. It’s been playing over and over in my head for days now, with pleasure! :-).
Too much bitterness in our society now. Bring back this feeling of peace, love and optimism :'( people of all persuasions and walks of life have got to come together somehow
I heard this song for the first time when I've been to Perth for a global student meeting almost 30 years ago. I still remember the faces of friends from countries in APAC. I didn't know he passed away...RIP Yoth Yindi. You will be missed forever.
I am not indigenous , and I was born and raised here in the best country in the world Australia, and I absolutely respect and love y'all , Yothu Yindi was and and is the best 💯 . 🇦🇺🖤💛❤️✊🏾✊🏿✊🏽✊🏻
I just today learned of this band. By showcasing Aboriginal culture it is easy to see similarities with African and American native culture. With it's own uniqueness.
I'd never heard of YY, until I did a 3 day tour of the desert out of Alice Springs. As we bounced across the desert in the Toyota the guy put YY on the stereo. It blew me away. When we got back to town I rushed out and bought 2 of their CDs. That was 1994. I think they're super cool. I love the aboriginal body paint matched with shades.
Love this song rest in peace, thank you for blessing us with your music. Proud to be an aboriginal.
Yous are Soooo Awesome Yothu Yindi 💯💯👍👍👍❤️❤️
RIP to a true aussie icon ❤
