Hi . This is something I have been thinking of doing to my 2017 T100. Although I’m not quite sure how I would mount the number plate. I want to get the same rear light and also buy Motone’s rear fender with the pre drilled holes. What would suggest to mount the number plate. As it seems Motone don’t have a number plate mount
It can fit most mudguards, the problem with the stock Street Twin fender is that when you take the twilight off there is a dent moulded in it, so you don’t have a level surface to mount the tail light.
Aloha Tony - excellent video as always. Question for you- do you have a helmet lock for your Street Twin? If so, which one did you go with? Mahalo, Jim
Great video! I am currently placing this on my Bonnie right now and when I plug in the taillight, the running light does not come on. But the taillight does works when I apply the break. Any suggestions?
Hey Tony - how did you solve mounting the number/license plate with this setup? Is there an available bracket out there that mounts to the fender? Thanks - love the channel.
Yes, Motone now produce a holder for these lights, www.motone.co.uk/motorcycle-parts-c26/triumph-bonneville-c25/steel-license-number-plate-bracket-insert-round-light-p2242 I'll be fitting one soon as we are finally almost ready for the final episode of this series!
Do you have the plate bracket mounting for this light fixture vid? As tight as the fixture is to the fender, I can't see much room for a plate bracket. Thanks.
I didn’t make a video no, but Motone make a plate bracket that is bolted under the light fitting itself. www.motone.co.uk/motorcycle-parts-c26/triumph-bonneville-c25/steel-license-number-plate-bracket-insert-round-light-p2242
@@mancavemoto Yeah, I see what you mean. That's kinda what I thought it would be laying right down on the fender, with the plate bracket mounted with brake light mounting bolts. I guess you'd still get the look you'd want. Thanks.
When vid sped up there for the drilling I shat myself 😂😂 looking to see if they have one that replaces the existing large break light assembly on bobber black 🤔🤔
Hi Tony, have you worked out anyway that the small plastic frame that holds the rack/pillion seat on the street scrambler, can be removed completely and more to the point what could you use to fill the holes that are left? I really dislike the rack and all I can think to do is to have it powder coated so it is more part of the bike. Do Motone do anything to sort this? I’ve got an R&G tail tidy right now, so that bloody rack just doesn’t look right. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers 👍🏻👍🏻
Views from the Man Cave yes that's what I would've expected. But seeing as triumph has put out a similar rounder one, I thought it would get over it all
Hi Tony; did you ever get to check how the fitment of the Eldorado rear light would fit into the recessed Street Twin original fender? I like your home Brew tail Tidy idea. Only drawback is that you loos the Plate light. If the Eldorado fits then this would be a very good tail tidy combination. Cheers you videos are great!
Lovely job.
Thank you!

Hi Pedro, how about this? www.motone.co.uk/lights-switches-c70/motone-steel-license-number-plate-bracket-insert-round-light-p2242
Do you know if this will fit the street twin 2019 model or do you know any other options if not... Thank you your vlogs are always very helpful.

Might just need a simple ‘switcheroo’ of the wires, but I guess you’ve tried that already?
Views from the Man Cave Yeah I have. Hmmmm I wonder what it could be. Do the turn signals also need to be plugged in?
Shouldn’t do, seems weird

Do the holes on the mounting fit the standard fender holes?

Yep I think all of their tail lights will work
Nice one Tony, the light looks great. Have you decided on a number plate bracket/ set up yet?
Thanks Mike, not yet I might Old school and just bolt it to the fender

Hi Mike, sadly the Street Scrambler went back to the dealer, so I didn’t get a chance to play around with it.
Views from the Man Cave ok tony thanks, do you think your contacts at Motone could help?
Mike, I’ll see what I can find out
Hello Tony! Can the standard number plate be installed underneath the tail light or is a new, custom based needed?
I’ve heard from Motone that they will very soon have a numberplate mount that fixes to the light assembly.
Sooooo yeah this would be PERFECT if there was also a solution for the license plate. Ideas? I'm in the market.
There is a plate that fits under the base, which I believe Motone will have available very soon
Hey Tony. Do you think this'll fit as replacement of the stuck ovale street twin light?
Hi filmdetective, yes it could, although when you remove the stock light there is a recess in the fender 🙁
Views from the Man Cave yes that's what I would've expected. But seeing as triumph has put out a similar rounder one, I thought it would get over it all
filmdetective Might be ok, would be interesting to try and it would look awesome!
