    I suppose you could give the rectifier a thin coat of black paint. It'd blend in real nice with the black of the frame and be camoflauged. I think you could cut the wires, solder in long lengths of wire, and relocate the rectifier anywhere on the bike that it would be ventilated.

    I do like the look and practical position of the ignition topside, vs next to the turn signals. Do you have a recommendation for a factory looking horn but louder than the road runner, tone meep meep that comes factory. Thanks.
    I would like to remove and replace my headlight brackets the cheap black tin looking parts do look very boring. And the adjustability of the components is really sweet. So what was the cost of the kit u put on? Thanks.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  3 года назад

      I haven’t found a louder horn that still looks stock. The Denali soundbomb mini is the closest, and could be mounted out of the way? The cost in total or the cost for the parts in this video? The prices can all be found on the Motone website. I didn’t pay for the Motone parts in this build, they own the bike and I’m essentially making the videos to show how the parts fit. Once its finished (I’m just waiting on an exhaust) the bike will go back to Motone

    cool bits added there mate, personally though i think i would have flippe the indicator brackets so they say forward more and then then looks like the hinge would be hid behind rather than at front.

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  7 лет назад +1

      +John Merrett Thanks, yep that's how i originally offered them up, but then preferred them sitting behind as you lose sight of the mounting arm and the wiring is a bit neater. That's what makes the brackets good, as you get plenty of options

    Why in the world do you guys want your gauges to lay flat? I have a 2022 Street Scrambler, and it's speedo lays too flat. Most of the time all you can see in it is reflection of the sky and tops of trees. What is the thinking behind this?

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  2 года назад +1

      Its aesthetics, I think it looks better and theres been no issue reading the clocks (which are different to the street Scrambler)

    • @x-man5056
      @x-man5056 2 года назад

      @@mancavemoto On the SS 900, it's just a stamp formed bracket. Motone should make a replacement that pulls the top of the speedo back about an inch to inch and a half.
      I miss a tack, even though it's not a high winder. The digital window is just to puny and terrible contrast to see the RPM's while going through gears in midday sun.
      It's small stuff though. The bike is really awesome.

    I know this episode is older than god but when you were doing the front of the t100 did you find out if there were chrome instrument body covers ? I did see a video where they had chrome ones but I can't remember which one. I have a 2005 t100 and was curious. Thanks so,

    Hello, I've recently fitted some of the Motone custom billet indicators to my Royal Enfield gt650 Continental... they look fantastic but they are quite dim.. so not the most functional... finding it best to do arm signals as well for safety... just wondering if there's any way of brightening them up? Are higher rated bulbs available or anything ???

    Hi Tony, I heard the throttle by wire on the street twin makes it complicated to swap the stock handlebar for a different (say a drag bar) one. Is that true? Or is it as simple as the old bonnies where you could just slide the controls off of one, and slide them back into the new bar? Thanks for all the videos and the great work!

    • @mancavemoto
      @mancavemoto  5 лет назад

      Its a tiny bit more tricky to get the assembly off, and you need to ensure you have a hole for the locating pin in the bar. Outside of that its just as straightforward
