Hi there, you two let me start laughin. I'm not only in patchwork but also sewing victorian costumes and for that I need often some cords so I make them my self. I've never seen that tool any where but I know from historical (1840-1900) magzines and books that the ladies in these times had tools like this hook to make the cords they needed. Thank you for showing, many greetings from Germany, love 🥰

Girl Scouts have used this technique for many, many years. They call it Buddy Braids because it takes two girls to make one braid. The braids were used as lanyards to hold their drink cups when camping, hiking or other outings. This little tool takes this to the next level. Thanks for the new "twist" on an old technique.

I’ve had one of these for about 20 years, but I had forgotten about it. Thanks for refreshing my memory and demonstrating some of the great cording that can be created with this wonderful tool. I need to locate it in my sewing room and start using it again!

I bought the pillow kit that thought that I could do the cording by myself, so I did not purchase the Kreinik, Big mistake.....I finally had to order the tool! While I waited on the tool to arrive, I made the other 4 pillows. Today I am working on the heart one and am excited to try my hand at the cording! Thank you, your videos are so easy to follow!

We twisted crepe paper with a drill 40 years ago. This was better for 2 colors.

As a member of my local chapter of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, I've made a lot of twisted cord. This little twister is a great tool. But I have one word of caution. When you are ready to let the twister hang to do the final twist, DO NOT let go completely of the twister! If the cord has been twisted very tightly, the twister may jump when released. Cupping your hand around the twister until you're sure it's settled will keep it from hitting the user or anyone else standing close. Better safe than sorry.

I used to do this years ago but I used a drill and a cotter pin. Whatever works.
