Helen I am excited. Love the trees! I ordered the chart. I too want a forest. Great job. I couldn't be without my cording tool. Super happy you & your family are safe! Have a great week.
I loved your tutorial Helen. It's the best I've ever seen demonstrating how to make cording. Now I'm definitely going to buy one of those little cording tools. Thank you so much!
Thanks for the tip of doing the 'reverse' spin at the end. Makes perfect sense - I"ve struggled at times to get my cording to settle in evenly. Thanks!
Hi Helen, thank you for sharing how to make cording and attaching it to your small pillow. It all turned out so great and I'm looking forward to trying it.
Helen this brings back memories of my mother making cording for baby booties. She would wrap lengths of yarn around a kitchen cupboard door handle and stand back and use a pencil to twist and twist and then slide a coffee mug down the middle so it would twist. So fun watching the mug spin and spin. We would have to cut both ends to get it of the door handle and the mug off. This would be much faster. 😀
Thank you for this tutorial ! I’ve tried doing cording once last year after your tutorial but now having this again I’m more excited to try it again ! I have the Krienik tool so it’s a future experiment!
I just did my first custom cord a couple weeks ago with the same tool and I definitely had room for improvement! I actually bought mine from Amazon. Next time I will be referring to this video for help!
Thanks, Helen, great tutorial. Love your using the 3M hook. I’ve been using the door knob and it is difficult to get it off the knob after it’s twisted. I have the plastic hooks, but I’ll look for the metal ones. Can’t wait for people to ask me why I have a hook on the wall!
Your instructions are great. I got the Kreinik cord maker and it worked. My biggest problem was my kitten, he found the floss just too tempting to stay away from. So frustrating. He a slow learner when thread is concerned.
This is great! Thank you for showing us this! Quick question: if I didn't want 2 colors in the cording, would the technique be the same? In other words, if I wanted just blue cording, would I cut the original 3 lengths of blue and the an additional 3 lengths of blue ( in place of the white) to make the cording? I hope that makes sense 😆
Well, look at that, that’s how you get them so even! I’ve only made two color cording once and just put all the colors together and started to twist. It looked ok, but not that great - thanks Helen!
I actually did a second video showing how I sew cording onto pillows to hide the knot and have a clean finish. Is this what you're looking to do? ruclips.net/video/hkZ2RJJVLoU/видео.htmlsi=4XI_iqx3d_ggp6nk

Marilyn
Thank you for the helpful tips! I'm struggling to visualize looping (?) the two colors together. Could you do a screen shot of the placement?
This is fantastic!! Thank you
Thank you for the tutorial!!
Thank you so much for the great tips!
Thank you. A great tutorial.
Thank you! I love this!
Cool tool! I have done cording manually and with my son's drill, believe it or not!
A drill would be even more fun! :)
My hook has been there for years and no one's asked why! 🤣
@@helend.flosstube Maybe your family is not as nosy as mine!
Your instructions are great. I got the Kreinik cord maker and it worked. My biggest problem was my kitten, he found the floss just too tempting to stay away from. So frustrating. He a slow learner when thread is concerned.
Thank you for another great tutorial 😊
Oh thank you so much! I have the spinner but the instructions just didn’t make sense to me!
Thank you for sharing your tutorial have a wonderful day 😊🧵🪡🤗
Thank you, very helpful :)

Yes, that's exactly what I do if I only want one color! 😊

If you have a power drill use a cup hook for the bit.😊
💜💜💜
Can you use three colors when doing this?
Thank You ;)
Could you do a close up of your hook that is on the wall please and thank you
My hook is an older version of these. 😊

But how do I sew the butt ends on nicely?
