Thanks for a very helpful video! We had the bike shop put the fenders on before we took delivery of the bike, but they were out of brackets at the time, so I opted to install that myself when it came in.
The fender sold by aventon is supposed to also work with the Soltera 2. When I try to install the front fender, the fender stay gets in the way of the front brake system.
I did not find an Allen wrench (the one that is used to turn all the screws) in the package that my bracket came in. I only found the open ended wrench (used to hold the one nut). Fortunately I have my own set of Allen wrenches. The 4 mm size worked fine for me.
Did the front fender a bit diff - screw through back to front, tab in front of bike (s/t bumps are under stem). Seems to fit better that way since tab doesn't have to be bent, but time will tell.
Nice explanation! I am getting ready to order a Pace 500.3 and accessories. One of the accessories I want to purchase is this rear rack. Since I am short, is it possible that the rack, when level, will interfere with the seat? It looked like it might interfere if the seat was lower than where adjusted in the video
I just installed a bracket on my wife’s Pace with a standard seat. When I lower the seat it doesn’t hit the horizontal platform but when it gets to about an inch from the lowest position, the seat does hit the forward brace, preventing it from going all the way to the bottom.

In the arch of the seat stay for the rear tire there is a mounting hex bolt already in place. This was not mentioned in the video. This made it a real pain. Furthermore, in the video the guy uses an extremely long thin screwdriver if you don’t have this tool it will be difficult to get that hex bolt in place. I would rethink this video honestly.
This is terrible it’s so confusing he doesn’t even say what kind of hex nut to use… didn’t even include the actual 0:14 instruction manual… 😅 and I’m missing a hex screw… * that’s probably the bike shops fault though…
The hex wrench tool shown in this video was NOT included with the rack. Instead, a cheap flat wrench, neither end of which fit the bolts, was included. I used the Aventon hex wrench set, but the wrench shown in the video would have been much easier to use.
I spent 4 hours trying to put this rack on my bike. The screws would not go into the bike. That tool was not included. Very disappointed and frustrated.
Thanks for the video. Thanks for taking the extra effort to put this video together. Much appreciated

Very helpful! Was able to install rack first then fenders without much issue (rack arrived first and I didn't wanna wait lol). Thank you! 🙌🏻
Fenders are a PIA. It’s not complicated but it is just hard to get your hands in some of the places necessary

Same!!! Any solutions?
Does that tool come with the bike?
Yes.

No
Trying to find instructions for mounting the Panier bags?
Did you purchase it from our website?
Yes. I purchased the
Aventon Twin Pannier

I’ve got the same question.
it may, depending on how low the saddle is.
Yes, does not work for short people. wont work if have the suntour spring seatpost or a bigger seat.

The braking mechanism is in the way of the front fender stay on my Soltera.2 - is something wrong with how my brakes were installed?
where can I buy the fenders now? They are not available on your website anymore.
Will the rack interfere with a low seat position?
Yes, it can.
Any alternative rear rack for people who are short?
We suggest visiting a local dealer to see if they have more availability.
Nothing showing on your website for Pace 500.3 for fenders,??
You have to go into the accessories section. Doesn’t show right on bike page like the rack does.

does the rear rack support a child seat (ie. Thule Yepp)?
It should fit the Thule Yepp Nexxt Maxi Rack Mount Child Seat you may need the Thule Yepp Maxi Easyfit Adapter
I don’t know anything about that child seat, but you should be aware that the rack I just installed is stamped with, “MAX: 25 KG 55 LBS”.
Is the Aventon rear rack a MIK-compatible mount system?
Did you get an answer on this. I need to know also.
@@James-wm8wi it's not. I added a TOPEAK adapter to mine to make it work.

These are not easy to install. I’ve tried it 10 times and the back fender sits crooked.

I have the soltera bike. bought the rear rack. no instructions. this video is of no help unless you have the pace bike!!!!
Do you need fenders to put the rear rack on ?
