Even in turbo mode, It's a workout to get the bike up to 20mph. And once there, it's too hard to maintain the level of power you need to keep cranking the pedals to stay at that speed. I prefer a cadence censor.
I bought a Pace 2 because of your great review a couple of years ago, so thanks, I love the bike. What sold me was your recommendation for the disconnect plugs which really came in handy when I needed to replace some components. Question? Can I retrofit the torque sensor for the pedal assist on my Pace 2?
@@infinitee3991 you can , I have had some customers who put a plastic bag over the screen on heavy rain days but it isn’t necessary according to Aventon. Good luck
My wife and I just sold our Lectric folding e-bikes and replaced them with the Pace 500.3. We LOVE these bikes!
Can you ride across the country on a single charge?

Fyi, you do not need to turn the battery on first. Just hold the power button on the controller for a few seconds
Great review. Thanks Lloyd 👍👍
My wife and I just ordered 2 of these in Large. Thanks for the great review!
I’m in Orlando but if I lived there, I would buy from you. Great review.

Aventon will have parts soon to do the retrofit. A shop will be needed, I would not suggest this as a do it yourself conversion
Having a Pace 500 first gen I have had not one problem with this bike. With that said I am concerned about if I will need parts one day,
Never even a flat tire? I find that claim highly dubious
Thanks
can you shift gears without pedaling or only when you are ?
You have to be pedaling to shift on this bike. Very few electric bikes can do that
This bike water resistant?
@@infinitee3991 yes it is , can be ridden in the rain.
@@BumsteadsBicycles forsure, both? Light an heavy rain?
@@BumsteadsBicycles just wanna be sure it's able to be ridden in light an heavy rain? Might get one soon!

Can this bike be used for gravel paths and smooth dirt trails?
Yes it can, I have some customers that replace the tires for some with more tread but the stock tires are fine for most people
If a company can't get it right with its first version, why would I trust them the 3rd time around?
They have been adding features as technology improves such as the torque sensor
What’s your point? What bike did you own?
I will pass on your advice to Tim Apple.
I ordered one for my wife and another one for me. waiting for delivery.
