@@castielangelofthelord1992 Eh. Could be considered a misplay, but a lot of players prefer to counter win attempts, not value engines. Pay your taxes! lol
@@AndyG3173swan song is not likely to counter a win con. Most wins are creatures or artifacts. Sure some instant/sorcery win cons but not near as many compared to the others
@@tyeklund7221 I will respectfully disagree with you. AdNaus, DemCon, Tainted Pact, Underworld Breach, Brain Freeze. These are the most common wincon pieces in cEDH and Swan Song hits them all.
@@AndyG3173 I also agree that Swan Song has PLENTY of good targets that are wincons. But I do believe it was a misplay to not counter the Rhystic study, Cedh has been in a midrangey kinda place rn that letting someone resolve Rhystic that early when you have the answer is just wrong your setting yourself up to having to try to have more answers than them when you yourself don’t have that engine it’s also probably what caused him to have his lightning greaves countered at 13:50 around there lol but yea, that was a absolute misplay.
Pontus somehow dominating the channel with the least meta decks is both so frustrating and cool to watch.
fun thing to keep in mind with poxwalkers; if you cast a spell from anywhere other than your hand and sacrifice poxwalkers "as an additional cost" (25:30 with infernal plunge), by the time anything triggers due to the spell, poxwalkers is in the graveyard and will trigger to return itself. the steps taken to cast a spell include many things, but paying additional costs happen in 602.2f-h, and once steps 601.2a-h are completed, any abilities that trigger when a spell is cast or put onto the stack trigger at this time.
seeker of skybreak and Nadu draws 8 cards per rotation!!! Come on dude, one of the best creatures in the deck...

Seeker is NINE nadu flips per turn cycle. Target itself x8 and then Nadu for an extra one on the last players turn. Huge punt.
Good to take the birdo on a flight test and happy others are soaring with it.

I think the nadu player gets at least one more trigger at 23:40 because the first target is tireless. So tireless will get two nadu triggers, then the spellskite will redirect which then triggers the nadu effect kinda how like ward and deflecting swat work, but I'm not entirely sure. Such an insane card if he would have had any more creatures out.
Correct, targeting triggers the ability, even if the targeting changes, similar to how deflecting swat can't save phimage from a spell or effect by changing the target, the phimage self-sacrifice trigger still happens. Nadu is nuts.
@@romeesio Nadu is a barrel of gas. The only reason that let it stick was because he was creature light early on.

Is there any reason I'm missing why you would play more Nazgul over Samwise the Stoutharted and Gollum, Patient Plotter? They do the same combo, but for 1 mana less (and even flash in case of Sam)
was there a misplay/ missed trigger on the sacrifice, target, and redirect shenanigan's for the mayhem trigger off the phantasmal image sacrifice?
Pontus jokingly says he is targeting the opposition agent to deal 2 damage to rhetoric (as he assumes Rhetoric will redirect it a 3rd time with spellskite since he redirected the first 2 that targeted opposition agent) but Rhetoric does not lower his life total (which he did for the every other time he redirected with spellskite) and no damage marked on opposition agent(something Mons was making sure he did for the first 2 targets that got redirected)...
If this was missed i do think it potentially impacted the game as Pontus got 2 more triggers that turn and decided to point both at tireless tracker (presumably to try and kill it since he most likely thought spellskite already had 3 damage redirected to it meaning if it redirected 1 more it would die) . However, Spellskite redirected 1(confirmed through Rhetoric losing 2 life and stating spellskite is now a 0/1(something he didn't do for the first 2 redirects)) and the other he let hit tireless. Because of this the opposition agent, tireless, and spellskite all live.
**if spellskite was dead then Rhetoric would not able to use it the very next turn to redirect the spite bellow trigger to save his commander from dieing.
This would also mean Rhetoric would not get any of the follow on Nadu triggers from his tireless being targeted and killed that turn, and potentially any of the other nadu triggers the rest of the game depending on his mana situation
**if tireless tracker was dead then Rhetoric would not get a treasure off a land entering the battlefield from the Nadu trigger on the very next turn
Now if Pontus meant to stop targeting the opposition agent and planned to try and have all three creatures live then i guess it wasn't a misplay/ missed trigger. just something i was curious about since it seemed like it was potentially missed and i have the ability to look and analyze board states a lot closer than if i was actually playing.
on the turn at 23 min you get the 2 nadu triggers on tireless tracker as it is targeted so you get the triggers before you need to redirect them to spell skite
The joys of playing BW and trying to combo. That deafening silence did a lot of work, if it was a rule of law probably it would have worked better!
WOTC should print more waifus for BW to make the color more playable.

nadu activates only twice per turn, and there were multiple times where it was triggered more than that.
No every creature has that ability.

It is actually a combination of playtesting on moxfield and using OBS as a webcam to send that feed to spelltable. I have a video tutorial explaining how to creat that set up for free in this youtube video link.
