  • This weeks video is... ugh... unfortunate. Its not the video we had in mind, however we tried to turn a sh*tty (pun intended haha) situation into an informative one. Bali belly isn't the end of the world. In this video we explain some of the more common symptoms along with how to manage them yourself at home. As always, use common sense, if you're watching this video because you think you may have Bali belly or some form of travelers bug, use your best judgement and consult with a doctor if you feel you need to. This is purely our experience. Enjoy! :)

I got the worst Bali belly a few weeks ago. That stomach pulling thing Ryan described happened to me too as if my guts were turning from the inside. I even liquid shat my bed when I was asleep. I couldn’t even control my bowel ! Not a good experience and I’m glad it’s all over now. Try to take probiotics before you travel there again.

This is really annoying with ASEAN countries. I’m born and bred in SEA but I still get it. I was in Bali a month ago and I got it on my last day and on my connecting flight in Manila. I was planning to go out and enjoy a nice Filipino lunch and shop… but Effin Bali belly happened, I ended up in the airport clinic and just drank juice. What a tiring and excruciating pain experience.

We have to go to Bali school trip camp tomorrow.. and I’m scared of getting Bali belly, I will handle the sickness but the problem is i have a fear of vomiting, what should I do :(
My teacher told us not to drink tap water, do not get shower water inside our mouth, bring our own water bottles
But im still worried about the foods

What an awesome trip! You will be absolutely fine.
Yes, don't drink tap water. Avoid getting shower water in your mouth. (In reality a little is ok, if you do by mistake you will be fine:) )
We lived in Bali 2 years it only happened once to us. You will be absolutely fine :)
As for foods, again you will be ok. I'm sure it's all organized for you. There is a lot of food you will be used to.
Enjoy the trip, sounds amazing and thanks for watching :)

Ice in Bali is government regulated, so it is perfectly safe to drink. If it had holes down the center, it has come from a safe manufacturing plant 😊
