I prefer the regular gold over the secret gold. The borders are less overwhelming, and the card designs are awesome with platinum-esque backgrounds. Especially the Dark Magician.

I never opened the Movie Packs but I want that Dark Magician (and Girl), and Slifer and Chocolate Magician Girl! Ordering some of these packs tomorrow!
Not sure what I think of this set myself. It just feels odd to reprint an entirely identical set. That and I'm not really a fan of Gold Rares, especially the newer look. Anyone have any idea why they did this set besides just plugging the movie?

I know your comment is old af, but honestly, Gold rarity is the ugliest they ever printed, and if you've already seen them irl you should agree, it's way too shiny and barely unreadable, plus the illustration of the card is kinda overshadowed by the gold surrounding it, very very bad design

i brought this then it first came out and i pulled so many slifers and alternate blue eyes. but i now use a magician/ magician girl deck using most cards from this pack and i love them haha
connor simpson Can you help explain something about the card vijam the cubic seed, so once he does his cubic counter and then you special summon him from the spell and trap zone or he has left the field does that monster still have the cubic counter?
the regular blue eyes actually looks better, the rare one is way too shiny

Bro, just bought the last gold box at my local walmart. Pulled 1 Blue eye normal and an Alternative Dragon, AND a Neo Ultimate. Felt Simply LUCKY! So just bought a legendary 4 Joey's world. Hoping for a Pet Dragon or Feather Duster. Wish me Luck

I was lucky enough to get one pack of these as a Christmas gift from a friend and it came with the pretty shiny version of Dark Magician as he was calling it in the vid and one that I did buy myself because I did want a blue eyes card. It came with blue eyes and it was a pretty shiny version

Seems like some cards that were harder to pull out of the original pack like Dark Magician girl, Slifer and Blue eyes Alternative are easier to get in the Gold pack.
At least they have Slifers effect correct now as there is too many games that have him reducing the opponents def by 2000 instead of the correct -2000 atk.
I have all the cards alredy including Obelisk which was given to me when I went to see the film. I'm planning on putting them all on a frame.

I just received my first set and obtained 4 blue eyes alternative white dragons!! Simply Lucky!
I bought two of those boxes and got a complete set of all the cards and in my first box of the special boxes I pulled seven alternatives.
Although I would prefer a dark magician...A blue eyes would be perfect for my kingdom of dragons deck. I love the secret rare version and again it would just be perfect for my deck and note that deck is filled with my most precious cards not all are dragons but some are.
There is a rumor that you get a movie pack with only one or two cards inside it when you purchase a ticket to the movie

Jerry Wang neo blue eyes isn't very good. If you really want, you should probably just buy the alternatives by themselves on amazon or something and if you really want a blue eyes fusion monster, wait till twin burst gets reprinted in the mega tins later this month (it gets two attacks on monsters per turn, it's a contact fusion, can't be destroyed by battle, and during the damage step if it battled an opponent's monster but didn't destroy it the monster gets banished instead)
