Really love the engine work videos and seeing them clean up with the machining. Itd be really neat if you can use the F head for any project, as it did take quite some work to get it where its at. A log splitter does sound like something very useful for you!
I'm looking at a 1961 CJ5 with an F Head. The jeep looks to be in good condition, but the head is off the engine, and looks to be needing a rebuild. You say guys are saying your complete engines are "too expensive," what are they considering "too expensive?" I just want to make sure the "good deal" I'm looking at isn't a money pit right off the bat. I know when you buy a project, you will always have a project, but I just don't want to go on welfare because I own an old Jeep.
i knew guy who had (inherited) a very nice old classic camaro, late 60's...he was so cheap that he never even got to drive the car as he would not spend the money on the parts to get it tuned and running properly...which was basically a carburetor rebuild kit and a clutch...in he 80's the price of the rebuild kit for the carb was like $10 and a clutch pressure/plate $50.
Great video. Thats going to be one hell of a log splitter. Can't wait to see it finished. Thanks Brian
Another great video
Few men openly admit they have 'crazy wood'
I’m excited to see the log splitter!

Good question

Hahahaha... $200.00?! OMG. People are REALLY out of touch with reality nowadays.
