Love this thing and all the custom work you have on it. My dad used to have a 2 door and with a 2” lift and manual hubs it would go anywhere. Where did you source the lsd and 5.38s?
It took searching, but the LSD turned up on eBay and the gears are currently made in Korea and sold by Picorp. I need to add some links in the descriptions.
I’m trying to install a 2 in lift kit , do you have to disconnect the upper ball joint. I can get with an inch and I can’t get it under the strut!im just trying to get to a 235/75-15 or 30x9.50 lol . I don’t want to put anything in a bind.I have a 2002 Sportage 4x4. Power windows cold air 126000 miles. If it snows here in Kentucky I got 4 wheel drive no muddying lol.trying to get a certain look! Thanks
Yes, usually, you have to disconnect it from the steering knuckle in order to get the taller strut assembly in. Also, remove the CV shaft snap ring in the hub so the axle can slide in and out as you're moving things. For lots of good info go to the MicroMonsters Facebook group.
Hi david im just asking how come your front cv doest falls off did you do any modification on it ? Mine always falls off with that hieght my ride is a 2006 sorento .hav a nice day!
I drive carefully most of the time, especially with 35's! I still push it, but I don't beat on it too much. If it's bouncing I stop. I don't try to do a steep crawl at full steering lock. Etc.
I’m surprised you fit 35s. What lift did you have to run to fit 35s. I ran the tj Jeep springs and spacers and only could do 33s with a lot of cutting. I’m also curious on your rear tire carrier. Is it reinforced to hold the additional weight of the 35?
Yes, lots of cutting to fit 35's and as you can see in the video, they still get chunked up against the body. Lift is a combo up front, but based on the Ford Aerostar coils out back. I'm planning a whole video on the entire build soon, probably 2 weeks.
Oh you got a sharp Sportage, I’m trying to get to that set up!
Great in looking ride, nice work on on it brother and I ALSO have true appreciation of hearing the wife out there spotting & supporting you ❤️‼️💪
