Have you ever been to Barnwell mountain 4 by 4 park? It seems like their idea of a level 3 is a lot harder then hidden falls idea of a level 3! Imho anyway
Question. I just got my 4Runner Limited 4x4. I wanna take it on a beginners off road track as I have not done it before lol so I want to know, How difficult was this? Should I get better tires for my truck before heading that way (I have the all season tires from factory)?
How's your Jeep these days? Any new upgrades to it? Still taking the Jeep out to its backyard? I need to go check these trails out. Looks like the Hill Country area. And don't mind some of these guys on here giving you a hard time about the trails you did. Obviously that was your first time and you were doing it solo without any guidance. Keep on Jeeping my friend.
Thanks Ace! I REALLY want to do the Colorado trails this summer, but it's looking like it's not in the budget. My next upgrade will definitely be an antirock sway bar. I'm putting $10-$20 dollars aside for that every chance I get. I grew up in Startzville near New Braunfels. Are you close to there?
I did all of the level 3's and 2's o could find. A couple of the 4's, but didn't even try any level 5's. I thought there would be some non-trail, open area. Maybe some mud, or water.. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time! But as it was my 1st time at a off road park I just assumed they would have been at pains to provide a greater variety.. maybe sand.. i don't know!
@@endocry did i come across as boasting? I didn't mean to. This is my first jeep, it's just a sport, and i was trying to AVOID gnarly trails on my first time out there. So i wasn't trying to brag or say my jeep was awesome. I was lost quite often, but ever so often saw a sign. Pretty sure I did most of the 3's and some of the easier 4's. Wouldn't swear to it tho. You know what bro, i bent my axle at san luis mud flats! Not even dune jumping, just hit a hole out in the mud flats! After that I'm trying to be careful with my dana30 until i can afford to get it reinforced a bit. I'm SURE i could tear it up at hidden falls or anywhere else if i hit the gas too much.
Gunner JKU's Jeep Adventures that is what is cool about HFs. Something for everyone, and even year to year the trails change with rain, wear, and trail maintenance. The main thing is you are getting out there. Get a winch and some upgrades and get to wheeling with a group!
No, by stock i just meant no lockers, no re-gearing. only a small lift, tires are barely larger than stock. It's not bone stock, but it's also not highly modified, and no modifications that would help with rock crawling!
Yes, you could do lots of trails. They'll give you a map at the check-in and highlight the trails they think you can do. Just don't hesitate to turn around if you think it's getting a bit too rough. You're the one that has to pay for repairs, so it's your call!
Boy oh boy, that had to be the hardest thing you have done, admit you own a Prius. Smh. Must of never had a father figure in your life and got fought behind the barn with your uncle Steve with pants down. But hey, none of my business... you own a Prius @brastofalbeasts1
@@JeepRoad Honestly, I think a Prius could make it through everything shown in this video except that last mud hole, and maybe not UP that one steep hill. I’ve been wanting to go to that park for a few years now. Looks like fun. Not in a Prius though. 😂
Too bad we have to drive so far from Houston to enjoy nice trails like HFs , Glad you had fun brother!

More variety from the park? dude I think you literally just did all the super easy trails right? There's some gnarly stuff out there

@@JeepRoad so where's the video of you doing these level 4 trails? There's trails out there that would eat up that Jeep.

Does Jones Jeeps rent Jeeps too ?
They use to but I don't think so anymore.
are 33" tires and 2.5" lift stock for a JKUS?

No, live in Houston

I drive 1869 every day to go to my house
