Hopefully someone can help. I have Android Auto when I use Spotify it'll play just fine BUT I can't change the songs from the steering wheel remote nor on the head unit. I have to go to my phone to change songs. It also does this with Pandora if I remember correctly. It's a Alpine unit!

Alright im going to show you how to actually listen yo music without the spotify premium bullshit or wifi the only down side is that you can only listen to one song and if you want to listen to to it forever you need a charger just in case your phone is going discharged . 1go on youtube and pick a song 2 tap your screen so that the playback bar is on on the top right corner theres three dots tap that .3 tap LOOP VIDEO . For now on the music will keep playing even without wifi its too quick for the wifi to give out the thing is you haved to be in you house to do everything and then you can leave the house as you do these steps you can check by disconnecting the wifi from your phone .your wellcome have fun jamming out without wifi

This has only happened recently, I was always able to listen to all my downloaded music on my phone on the go..

Just paid to get Spotify so I can go offline. There isn't any download switch, just a green circle with an arrow and an icon for random play within the circle.
