This video is 6 years old. In the meantime, many expansions have been made. There is also now a film about the story of its creation, which is doing very well in Europe. The most important and greatest innovation in my opinion is Monaca, which is now being inaugurated. Monaco's car racing track is faithfully recreated with car races that are repeatedly restarted at random. 11 years of development time for the physical obstacles and the tremendous computer power with its own liter disks and microprocessors. Each car is handmade and adapted to the annual innovations. With bump stops and tire damage, automatic overtaking, depending on the condition of the car. That's why the races end differently. In addition to the airport, this is an outstanding achievement by the entire team.
In the last video they published a report from Kabel1 because they still have a lot to do before Monaco opens and don't have time for their own content. In the repotage you can see how they tested the Formula 1 track with the Dixi toilet. What they have achieved is truly incredible. But I also found Tierra del Fuego very impressive.
Yes I have been in the Warehouse Distrikt (Speicherstadt) and the Miniatur Wunderland. I will be there again coming September. Monaco and the Formula 1 racetrack (10 years to make it work) will be opened in end of April 2024. Part of South America is already existing. At the moment they built the Atakama Desert, the Rainforest and Machu Pichu. This is genius and a good working climate. You my friend from Down Under, be safe. Come visit us. Elmar from Germany
I was there two times. It is incredible every single time you can discover new details. I don't know if that is still the case but the restaurant inside of Miniatur Wunderland (MiWuLa) used to be designed as passenger trains. At least at my first visit I sat at a table representing being in a compartment of a coach with real seats from passenger trains that have been sorted out of service from long-distance passenger trains.
If you plan to visit the Miniatur Wunderland, please buy tickets in advance. And calculate with at least 3 hours, better 5 hours. There is a good restaurant.

Have been there in 2013. 5 hours were far too short.
May I recommend the DW channel with "Meeting the Germans" 1 to 4.
There is a 4 hours long video of Miniature Wunderland on RUclips
Would recommend real heartedly!
Keep in mind that this is a family place, so maybe have some earplugs with u, just in case of a "little drama". ^^
