I am so happy that Mrs. Gray was taken out of the shelter and is being given this life in paradise. You can't give her back all the years she has lost, but you have brought such joy and shown her what love is. Thank you and God bless Zach, his daughters, and fabulous Mrs. Gray. Last year I adopted a 17 year old cat from a friend who was moving out of the country. He had raised him from a kitten and was afraid Owen wouldn’t even survive the trip. I had Owen for 7 months and am so glad I moved him in with my other kitties. He was the sweetest and most snuggly kitty I ever had. I am so grateful that he spent his “retirement” with me. 😿😻

I was so lucky I had Owen his last months on the earth. I’ve never had such a sweet kitty before! I mean it. Owen was so wonderful. I miss him.

I've rescued two abused, senior blind dogs. One was 12 and the other 15 when I got them.
Both were WONDERFUL and both lived to 19 years old.
PLEASE ADOPT SENIOR, SPECIAL NEED DOGS.
They were the most loving and lovely dogs I ever owned.
Yes, I had a dog adopted age 12. She lived to be 18. She was the best dog ever. I will never have another dog like her again.
My wife and I have adopted 3 senior dogs (once at the time) and it's always wonderfull to see how greatfull they are! As Zach said, they're aging backward.

My wife and I rescued our pittie, Jamma, from a kill shelter this past summer and she's a wonderful, loving dog. Watching this video made me tear up as it could have been my dog. It's a shame that pitties have a reputation for being vicious animals, and it's just not true. Any dog can turn out vicious given owners who mistreat the dog and raise it to be aggressive, or abuse the animal. Jamma came into our lives at just the right time as a couple of months after adopting her, we had to put down our dog Chewie, who was suffering terribly from pain due to arthritis. Pitties are amazing, loving animals.

Rescuing a senior dog is one of the most satisfying things I've ever done, so much respect from me to this wonderful human family who brought this sweet old girl home into a loving environment for her final years, or months, however much time she had.

I think a lot more people would foster elderly animals [we would] if the vets wouldn't be so expensive. Literally that is all that is stopping us. Which is sad. We have so much love to give and a stable home, but we are not rich enough for unexpected vet bills. If there were more free vets [who would do voluntary work maybe], most retirement age animals could find love. Shame that it comes down to money. But it does at the moment. So glad for Mrs Grey.

Reminds me so much of my pitbull, Zinnie. She was shaking and cowering at the shelter. She also had puppies recently and we didn’t know where her babies were :(.. I’m sure that was traumatizing for her.
The shelter deemed her “aggressive” because of her breed, but she has never shown any aggression, not once. She sleeps with us, loves on my son, is the biggest lap dog you will meet, and chased some weirdo out of my backyard when I was sunbathing and didn’t hear him open the gate. She is great. Pitbulls are the best!!!

This is what we did for my mom a year after my daddy passed away. We saw Mr Cesar in a swap meet sitting alone in a cage when there were 4 dogs under him in a cage all together . He was only 2 months old when we got him. My mother never liked dogs in her home an how much they shed. Cease was the only one my did it for an treats him like it's her real baby, I'm the youngest an I treat him like a big sister 🤗
