Missed the announcement. Can't find out anything on the web. I figure we won't even know the baby's name. I have been a fan since I was fourteen. LOVE the lyrics, the melodies, the band. I get it, keeping it about the music. But a baby what a blessing. Why keep it all so hidden away?

And u deserve it....I’ve seen u all twice and loved ur music...funny how having kids gives us a new perspective and outlook on life. I’ve raised four children And now watching my children have children...but the hardest thing I had to watch was my baby boy go off to war...and it changed him for life...I thought our generation made the world 🌍 safe for my children, but we keep on having wars wars and more wars...I spent many nights and days crying and worrying about my son...the soldier...I am lucky he came home at all...but he did ....well some of him came home...some of him died on the battle fields of Iraq and Afghanistan...if u can change the world...please do...I know u don’t want to see ur kids go to war...bless u and may god give u peace...

I interpreted this song differently. Right or Wrong??? When God created Adam & Eve He gave them a language. It was pure, filled with love. When sin entered, the language slowly got lost. When Jesus came and offered us salvation, in accepting Him, His language of Love begins to grow in us and thus, we begin to speak with love and kindness as we become more and more like Jesus. When we get to Heaven, our native tongue will be the perfect language of Love.

While it’s a beautiful message, I kinda disagree. We live in a cursed world, with sin ladened hearts, and broken thinking. Love is a tongue we can only ever truly speak when we’ve experienced the love of the Source of it, God. We might speak through a thick accent something like Spanglish is the English/Spanish, but we can’t truly speak it until we know it.

Wasn't the hit 'The Sound of Silence' during 1960s the same time as 'Cold War'? So I guess we cannot generalize the present times as 'more' evil than the past. But I agree with 'Love' as the 'Native Tongue' back then and now.
Since were rebellion against God and up for adoption through Jesus I would say our native tongue is not love it's hate. But after receiving the Holy Spirit our new tongue is love because we can't generate this on our own. It takes the power of the Holy Spirit to come in us and to give us a new heart with new desires. We can't clean up the old one that's not being born again. God Bless!

I feel you, but the lyrics of the song suggest that our “native tongue” is the one God gave us in the very beginning, and that we sinners have drifted from it ever since. I think that’s what the song means.
Although there is a lot of truth to what you said, I do agree mostly with Elijah. We were originally created in the image of God, walking alongside Him in righteousness because we didn't know sin. We chose to walk away and distance Him from ourselves, the curse of sin (any wrong action stemming from this distant mentality and wrong thinking we had/have of God) took over and corrupted our minds. What Jesus did on the cross was curse sin. He broke it's power and with His resurrection he gave us the option to reclaim the true human life we were designed for... Because humans were supposed to be powerful righteous beings; Jesus was showing us what a true human's life was SUPPOSED to be like when He walked the earth. He wasn't the exception, He was the example. God's will on earth. He was the "Last Adam", our new role model. We are supposed to walk in love. It was our initial design. Sin was the defect that we chose because if He didn't allow us to choose it, then He truly wouldn't be loving. He'd be controlling a bunch of robots. So I think Jon is referring to the bigger picture. The timeline of humanity... Because yes, you're right. Until we choose to be born again (returned to our original spiritual design), we are born into the curse of hatred, stress, envy, insecurity, greed, lust, etc. We are naturally born selfish, and as loving as our parents may be, we learn a lot of it (if not most) from them as well (to sum up a tangent, I personally feel that's what "curse" tends to refer to; acting out what you've seen). The power of the Holy Spirit and fellowship with our true Father is the only way to break off all that baggage. So on a more personal level I agree with you, but regarding the bigger picture I agree with Elijah.
