This is the style that helped me “find my lane” in watercolor. Absolutely love it. Beautiful work. Lena Gemzoe is also inspirational for me as are you!!
I am always amazed with your ability to “see” the possibilities as the water moves the pigment. I love watching you paint in this style. Thank you Scott.
wow! these kind of paintings often look so easy. but they are not. every artist, who can come up with a good painting like this, deserves the price, he asks for. no matter ho long it took or how much material costs. it is an art, to balance everything. I know - I tried :-D
@@ScottSwinson I started with acrylics and feel like watercolors are a foreign language. I understand that watercolor artists feel the same about acrylics. I’m really trying to get the hang of watercolor, but thus far it’s mostly frustrating. I’ve ended up using them as backgrounds for other mixed media. I just can’t get them to behave lol
@@IDidntAlwaysWorkInSpace I know how you feel. I feel like I need to transform into a different person if I change mediums. So hard to do! Good luck with it!
Scott - this was great and I am a fan of Lena. Question - I was not sure but when you wetted the paper to begin with, did you initially leave the section where you first laid down the paint, dry? (Those couple of inches_) And just wetted the upper and lower sections of the paper? I think that is how Lena does it as well, just curious as I am going to give this a try hopefully today :)
Hi John! Sorry for the delay in replying! Yes some parts of the page were dry so you get some lovely dry brush marks with the piece of card. You can swipe the card so that the top of it is hitting the wet page and then it will start to migrate upwards. Hope it went well! Cheers Scott
the music, and the paint in water all dancing with each other

Hi Louis! I do enjoy this style of painting! 👍👍
Beautiful, it's a pleasure to watch how you use watercolor.
I love the magic that flows from your hands. But I must say I really missed listening to your mental process as you work your way through a painting.
Hi Betty! I promise the next one will be like that! With me talking! 🙏

Hi Deanna! Yes love a bit of abstraction! Would love to see a few of your abstracts! I’m pretty rubbish with acrylics! 👍

no worries!
Way etching paper?
I just like it. It’s very white, quite smooth and lets lots of movement occur wet in wet. 👍
Can I ask what sort of paper you use ? Thanks
May I know the title of the BGM?
Hi Anglina! I’ll have a look and get back to you. It is from artlist.io
