Blaze knight he got from 11k to 32k so far XD joke on IGN I think. Jim starlin and Philip defranco and more soon the story is only 2 days old. I'm glad that broomstick smart enough to start a petrion now xD
*My channel needs your support on Patreon and if just a fraction of you gave $1, it would help immensely❗* Chasm was a pretty cool metroidvania & I really hope it gets a sequel that can really go nuts with the procedural generation & make it seem much more dynamic.
I had a fun time with it. I really enjoyed playing through the game. Combat is solid, the platforming is fun without being annoying, and it was cool to check out all the weapons and gear you could find. Like the review says though, I think it would've been better if it had a hand crafted map. Having it procedurally generate you a map kind of leaves how much backtracking you do up to a roll of the dice. I'd like to play through it again at some point but.. it's certainly not gonna be right away.
Good review; thanks for this. Won't be buying the game (until it hits $10 on a Steam sale) but I will be going back to my emulator and playing the other two Castlevanias that I've thus far neglected. Subbed and looking forward to more reviews.
Semi useless backwards dodge is a very kind way of putting it, That "dodge" has cause me so much lost HP great review I loved this game really would be interested in a sequel with some enhancements though
Maybe it's just the art style or the amount of backtracking, but this game looks kind of boring to me. I feel like the devs really could have taken feedback in before releasing this game, considering all the years and effort they put in.
The devs actually took a ton of feedback. The reason the game took so long is because they iterated through like 3-4 different systems and overhauled the random generation a bit. I'm a KS backer and one of the earlier alphas had a souls-style currency/progression system where enemies dropped a notSouls currency which you dropped on death and could reclaim. And you bought stats at bonfires. It was okay but kinda irritating. Really, for what it is and what I wanted I enjoy it. I pretty much just wanted a simple, stripped down SOTN/GBA/DS Castlevania experience with the leveling, gear, familiar spells, etc. Chasm is pretty much that and nothing else so it's pretty much a love it/meh kind of game. It feels like it's tailor made for Vita/Switch however.
IGN editor here, don't mind me, just enjoying the vid and taking super detailed notes.
Mass Exp lmfao
IGN writer here, Can I borrow your notes when you are done, I need a review to give to my editor.
Better make an apology video!
RGT85 sent me here. Sorry IGN ripped you off man. Also, thank you for this review.

Great review! Have played it for about 5 hours now, and it REALLY grows on you. I like it alot! Thanks for sharing your opinion on the game
You're really good at this. In a backwards way I'm kind of glad that fool ripped you off or else how would we have known.
Man looking at some of those screens gives me heavy Rogue Legacy Vibes

Love this game.
This game is awesome fun on my Vita 😍
I was on the fence about this game, but I'll just wait for a sale. Thanks for the review!
I might just have to buy this, Looks like a great game to me :D
Wow i was waiting for this to come out for ages and been on switch so long i never noticed it finally released.
My favorite part of this video is how you say the backwards dodge is semi-useless and literally seconds later show it being useful.
nice, thanks for the review.. what's the file size of the game?
On PC it's a little over 700mb.
im reading 760mb of disk usage
It would be great if the enemies and bosses were procedurally generated so everybody's playthrough would be completely different.

Keep up the awesome work !
For some reason it reminds me of pitfall from back in Atari days
ohh you say chasm? I say chasm.
I discovered this channel because of the plagiarism hoohaa. Good reviews man.

i love it, but its not everyones cup of tea.
"Familiar" falls short. I foud Chasm to be very unoriginal
originality is overrated
