For anyone who is considering Alex's EDM Bootcamp, it's well worth it! The classes are very clear and very easy to understand! The fact that I can send my song to his personal slack group and get feedback from him on my song is fantastic! I can already see real improvement. Thanks, Alex!
The vocoder trick broke my brain, I have Vocalsynth but usually I don't use it, didn't know you can do that magic. Thanks for this video, I already have 500 ideas for new songs 😅
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen in music production tutorials!! This is exactly the kind of content that I love seeing from you! Straightforward and useful tips that are easy to apply, and that are accessible to every producer regardless of skill level. 10/10 Excellent work!
This video nails it so hard. All of these tips are top tier, and most of them are things you don't even consider until you're an expert in sound design as well as production. Oh, and the pacing is spectacular. *Also, since these could very easily have been 10 shorts instead of a single video, allow me to thank you on behalf of every one of your 303K subs.
bro, hats off to you for not making the same ol tutorial videos on music production that we've seen a million times already.. your videos are valuable & straight to the point.. you sir, are indispensable.. thank you
BRUHHHHHHHH!!! THIS POOP WAS THE ILLEST VIDEO I'VE SEEN THIS YEAR BRO... THAT WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL MY FRIEND.. OUTSTANDING VIDEO.... I will have to try this stuff.. Wow..
🔹The first technique involves layering snares with miscellaneous sounds, such as bamboo hits or shakers, to make them unique. 🔹The second technique uses Auto-Tune and pitch-shifting to turn terrible singing into a powerful lead. The third technique is using a vocoder with a set of chords to create a wide sound. 🔹The fourth technique is layering cross decaying chords by bouncing a sound onto a fresh layer and reversing each chord. 🔹The fifth technique is vocal phrasing, which involves taking short vocal phrases out of royalty-free acapellas from the internet and building an arrangement based on those words. 🔹The remaining five techniques involve creating unique sounds with plugins, such as distortion, flangers, and chorus, using parallel processing to enhance a sound's texture, creating a 3D sound with panning, using sidechain compression to make room for other sounds, and using delay to create a rhythmic texture.
Always stoked about your inputs and your examples songs you come up with! The vocoder panning trick (basically double tracking it) blew my mind! I do it with guitars and vocals but I never thought about applying the idea on a vocoder!
0:58 thank you for this Alex! 🤣🤣 “Even though we clearly don’t need it.” Sooooo true!!! Keep the videos coming please! I learn so much from you! I loved that from your last video! You made my day sir! Thank you! May God bless you richly!
