even in SC the map runners die forever kinda unfair and strange, they should just die and lose portals and fail not just void lol unless your playing HC
This mechanic is so annoying, I thought it would be cool but they just keep dying in tier 1 & 2 maps!! There is no point in spending gold on this, there is barely any profit. This should be the last bit of town you invest in.
@@sS0ulSs My biggest problem is not them dying in tier 1 & 2 maps, I had them tier 7&8 maps with the 1% risk and the moment one of my six runners died, the whole map running thing came to an hold, cause the risk increased to 5-10% with one runner less and since you don't get low tier maps with running high tier maps + voidstones, you don't have any low tier maps for them to run. I would rather invest in a full Tier 10 workers farm + ships, sure your sailors can die too even with a 0% risk mission, but that just reduces the ressources you can send with a ship and does not stop the operation completly.
The shipment reward not scaling equally when entering big number shipment is disappointing, I want to send giga shipment that takes 6-8 hour to send and sleep, wake up and get giga reward
Have you normally been able to sustain chisels ..? Affliction and Necropolis don't count as the item drop rates there were out of control and do not represent normal gameplay. And in prior leagues you never sustained chisels
Yeah it's really bad. Not once in the 5 or so years I've been playing this game could I not sustain chisels. I always without exception chiseled all my maps as soon as I hit red maps. They really messed something up by nerfing all the quant. Yesterday I had a 7.5 k tricolour wisp map and it didn't even drop a single c. I'm just farming deli currency reward tiles now atleast they drop something. Or maybe I become a sanctum cuck.
I think chisels are like 17 for 20c or something. So, you can also just open your Kirac missions (run them or not) and buy 20 chisels for 8c each time. I have been doing this and running red altar for awhile as some maps you drop 20-80 chisels. As mentioned above logbooks and sanctums are now selling for chisels. I’ve sold like 5 of each + the above and I’m just sitting on roughly 1200 chisels. I should probably sell some now that I think about it lol
@@Don_Giovanni yeah , the issue starts at high number currency exchange , i tried to buy 1500 jewellery orb and it requested 60k gold , but if i want 5 divine for a trade it asks 250gold , it needs some adjustment :D
@@Don_Giovannii dont really have a problem with getting gold. its hard for me to even understand how people arent making gold. do you just run blight/sanctum or smth like that?
As someone who cannot play for dozens of hours a day, it feels like I have to choose between barely sustaining my settlement, actually pursuing upgrades, or whether I even touch the currency exchange or black market. I can only really choose one and that's it just because I cannot really boost gold any more than I already have. Sucks tbh.
yea i agree. Atlest when you juice your map full on with league mechanics i.E like 5 scarabs etc in T16s you should get way more. At tops i make like 12k/map but the sink is so massive (i only have miners and smelters + enchanters working) i can barely keep myself up with gold when i also bulk trade away my farmed stuff. I dont use boats or mapping at all because i just cannot afford it.
the gold drops are completly fine. you get just with a magic redmap 2-3k gold with no extra packsize or floortile content. Which means in about 2 min you can get almost one hour of a completely maxxed town going. if you do any "real" content, you are swimming in gold and have your town going constantly 24/7. im at a point where i could just stop to play for a week and it would still keep going, and im not a juicer or anything, just an alch and go zoomer.
@@SamolonXDYT Weirdly enough i'm an alch and go player since that's all I know about the game cause it's my second league, yet there's nothing i can run constantly in my town, not one thing. So there's an issue somewhere. Mappers cost like 3k an hour, so what thats like 15 maps a day just to have this single guy running for 24h hours ? What about the the 5 other mappers ? Thats 90 maps a day just to have mappers running. There are 5 other buildings to run. Maybe you're farming a mechanic that scales more, but there is no way you're sustaining a fully maxxed town if you just alch and go, except if you alch and go t17s. Or you alch and go 18 hours a day. Or both
I don't play enough, or efficient enough when I am playing, to take advantage of the league mechanic. I'm ok with the bubble gum currency from shipping crops, but I'm not going to bother with the mappers or other higher level content. My character is doing well (Balormage's Holy Relic build) and I'm looking to get the rune crafting higher for more damage mods, but that's about it. Still having fun though.
I highly recommend the mappers. Personally, I can only have tier 7 workers. But with a tier 7 and 3 tier 6 mappers, I can have them do rare tier 6 maps with about a 2% risk of death on average. Their wages don't cost much because of the tiers, but they bring in stuff more consistently than boats imo
@@cooper5602 The 1 t7 must be a big damage boost. With 4x t6 mappers I see a 5-0% chance of death with yellow t5 maps. I've been puttering around with magic white maps and rare drops to t3 while spending gold elsewhere and not getting any higher level mapper recruits.
@@Dan_Neely It scales really aggressively. For example my map device is maxed. I have 1 t10, 1 t9, 1 t8, 3 t7s. They clear rare/corrupted t16s with ~5% chance of death or less. The lower levels don't seem worth it IMO but the maxed map device with middle/upper tier workers is insanely good.
@@Dan_Neely must be i guess. one of my tier 6's died and i replaced him with a tier 5. My risk chance on tier 6-7 maps is still around 6% per map when alched
Two criticisms for me. 1. I have to constantly take off workers to lower my wage/hour while I am sleeping. Having them work while I am sleeping means I have to map for a long time just to get back to the gold value I was at before I went to bed, meaning I feel like I am not making a lot of progress. 2. Some upgrades with the town require Verisium Ore and not Bars, so if you turned all of your ore into bars and don't find any Verisium Ore nodes for several hours/days, your town upgrades are actually bricked because you had them smelt while you were sleeping. This actually happened to me.
At first it seems fine, but at one point the rate felt too expensive, and we have to keep grinding maps. Wish there are other ways to earn gold, or to lessen the cost
@@jamrolypolyXD There really isn't. An end-game working setup will cost you 500k-1,000k gold per day, and as far as I know, there is no way to support that. Even if someone were to come up with an ultra-specific atlas map passive tree setup for it, nobody should ever have to do that. I should be able to run maps for 15-30 minutes a day to pay for the workers, even in the far, far end-game at tier 15+ maps. The fact that it's not even close to this is a huge problem. Telling your workers to sit at the pub is the only thing you can do. Most of my workers don't actually work. I only put them to work when I can't send a shipment or build something now. I don't have them passively generate resources or do anything for me anymore. It doesn't even feel like it's a league mechanic I engage with anymore. I love the idea of this mechanic, and the game is still fun regardless since I haven't played in like a year, but the mechanic is not well-thought out in terms of execution. Needs a patch. I would cut tier 12 worker to 100 or 200 gold per hour tops. That way you can actually have 30-40 workers like the game seems to be designed for. Right now, I see no reason why we need so much worker population for - you'd go broke overnight.
They need a verisium and bismuth bank at least. I just have a smelter on 1 thing I have a bunch of and defund the town to some extent when I head to bed.
@@vuton7670upgrade farm, mine max first. You dont really need to max disenchanter just enough to get decent dust. Runemaking and combinators arent really necessary. Map running is super expensive to sustain.
A slider for recombinators would just recreate the same problem Necropolis had, where it is only used for teh highest endgame crafts because anything less is a waste of gold. Just buff how they work now and call it a day.
I feel ya. I just stayed on for half an hour after I was ready to go to sleep just so that I could make sure my town had enough gold to run till I get on tomorrow 😂 But at least the mechanic makes me want to play more, instead of not being fun enough to provide that desire.
@@banzaiplop4265 It's 100% a mentality shift you need to make if you feel this is oppressive. Just don't have your mappers queue maps when you go to bed and you'll have plenty of gold, they're by far the biggest offender of gold sink
This... sums up pretty much everything I've been feeling but unable to put into words. This was the first league I actually managed to make it past yellow maps (burnout usually gets to me), but I still petered out before ultimately hitting T16's, though I'm not too far off. All of the things you've said in this video, coupled with trying to wrap my head around the various systems, the changes that have occurred since the last time I played (crucible), made it ultimately exhausting.
I wanted to play blight, but you hardly get any gold from it at all. It's like I'm forced to choose between the league mechanic or blight it's not possible to do both.
That's actually kinda weird that you say this, as I bounced around tons of mechanics and feel like Blight is one of the very few that rewards enough gold to feel fair.
Stacked t16 blighted map gives around 1500 gold... if you spammed them solid you can't even run your town on a basic level. Removal of extractors makes in atlas maps blight feel awful.
Same. But every time a blight spawns both me and my friends games just freeze and close without any error messages and when we get back the blight is obviously dead because they reached the pump. Not really sure what is happening with the game but so many things seem to need fixing sadly...
First time I gave PoE a serious try was Metamorph. Hardcore ripped during the campaign a few times (Dominus fight, Kitava fight mostly) and lost interest. Came back to PoE for Ultimatum, Heist and Kalandra league, but always grew bored as soon as I hit maps. I can't explain what it is, but this league here? I am hooked on the game as I never was. I've been playing 12 hours a day since it came out and feel super motivated to read through the wiki, watch guides and educate myself about the deeper mechanics of the game. Settlers is the league that finally made me love the game. I have no clue why.
@skaffen I wouldn't be surprised if they changed something, but it really does feel pretty much exactly the same as always. Actually this league I got many more whetstones and armor scraps early than normal so that was the only noticeable difference. But nonetheless yes, ground loot has been dogshit for years. Always has been.
i agree with the gold, they should encourage people to do side content and explore more of what the game has to offer rather than punish people for doing so.. as a new player i was really interested in exploring stuff like heist and blight and trying new things but not only do i not get any ore, i'm getting nearly no gold whatsoever so i miss out on the entire league mechanic which i enjoy.. so i'm being forced to run maps
Been having lots of fun as a casual player so far. Got my first divine orb from a shipment and just deferred 2 divine orbs from a ritual since I didn't get enough tribute for them. Using a cyclone shockwave setup and spinning to win.
Dude I feel the gold struggle. This is actually the furthest i've ever progressed in a league and im just starting to do reds, but it's kinda slow. I've had to turn off my farmers for a bit just to try to save up enough gold to even upgrade stuff. It's a disaster.
my main issue is the gold FOMO. I am locked into speed farming t16/17s if I want to engage with the league mechanic. At the moment I've decided to skip mappers entirely, I still reroll and buy any high tier ones just incase. But it is a too heavy cost when you can only play a couple hours daily. Even without mappers, my gold goes empty inbetween sessions and I've got good setup to farm it (can do t17s with all map mod effect nodes easily, and I have ~150% item rarity on gear). Like those t17s can give 50-100k gold each and only take a few minutes, but it isn't enough, I still run out. Early in the league I assumed this wouldn't be an issue because most of the gold cost was upgrading the town, and when it's fully upgraded then you'll naturally have excess gold. I was very wrong, excess gold does not exist at any stage of gameplay.
THANK YOU for this video. THANK YOU For mentioning Gold issues. I see a lot of "elitism" on the sub reddit saying " Gold is fine" It's not. IT really really really IS NOT. It's fine at the start - but when stuff starts costing 10K+ it's already stressful and stops being a fun league mechanic and becomes a second job Got so excited about gold being mentioned that I forgot to say : YES for the defense situations early on. I feel squishy AF and some mobs just go bananas. Really happy to see this. Ive played other games where Content Creators just make fun of players whenever there are glaring issues ( i.e Guild Wars 2.) instead of listening to what the majority of players are saying
Sanctum doesn't need to give gold, its already massively rewarding and feels like one of the only ways to make real currency. Other side content could use a buff.
@@Nyver253 They didn't shadow nerf anything. They literally nerf quant on bunch of different monsters and stated as such in the notes. Sanctum doesn't get touched by that. Sanctum also has always been immensely OP for currency farming. Far better than any other league that involved static rewards.
@@Nyver253 Nothing has been nerfed, in fact league monsters were buffed to have loot like ultimatum. You're just feeling the effects of not having absolutely broken ass busted shit leagues like affliction multiplying the loot to absurd levels. Thank fuck its gone.
I like How you talked about how you wanna grind gold before sleep. Because my first thoughts before the league started was is this gonna feel like a real F2P game where you are basically gonna have dailies. Because you wanna keep your town running at all times. I also dont like the fact that I feel like I have to play my main for a while before I can play my alt just to get gold first. This league is still awesome. It all depends on how seriously you take your town or how hardcore of a player you are. Some players may never get these feelings at all.
"THE WILDWOOD IS BACK" still makes mobs unkillable but now they dont drop anything hurray!!! "SENTINELS ARE BACK" except they are exceptionally rare, they have no atlas tree support at all and sentinel empowered mobs dont drop anything, HURRAY!! The league mechanic is actually fun and rewarding tho, i've been getting divines regularly from my 1-2mill ships edit: oh also sanctum still prints divine like crazy, it f*ing sucks when a mechanic is insanely more rewarding than literally anything else
Then you're doing something wrong with your tree somewhere. I only have 2 watchstones and have been sitting permanently at T16s and only just started chiseling in the last couple days.
@@zarteck7793 how? are you talking about the new chisels or the basic one? cause the basic one can be easily sustained unless your kirac bugged out and just won't sell you any. I'm assuming you have more than 20 divines cause Kirac sells them for 8c : 20 chisels
In past leagues however, I would never have to buy chisels from Kirac. I would have hundreds just from what I loot in maps. This league, they're barely dropping at all. It's a stark change.
I want to know if ggg intended for us to run every part of the town at once, or if they thought we would choose 2-3 town nodes to fund. It would explain the amount of gold we receive. Not sure I agree with side content not dropping gold. It makes it hard to justify doing something outside of normal mapping. I am enjoying myself just think we need some small tweaks.
see thats the thing. all the town/league mechanic are interconnected to only do select few of it. but i'm with you on the side mechanics. i'm not a juicer, my current build can also do only t16 easily, t17 barely, and not having problems with gold hopefully gold buff is incoming for non-juicers/the rest of 99%/non-streamers
@@bakedmomo5693 Mapping is completely dosconnected from anything else, farming has nothing to do with ore, disenchanting is only required for recombination and it's use for shipping is extremely low in terms of cost. Shipping can be done using only ore or only crops zero problems. It is simply not true that they interconnected too much.
The league mechanic will only be saved by passive gold generation. Shipments and Mappers should generate gold. I also think there should be some kind of shop that works just like the disenchanter that converts items to gold.
Cant have the things that you use to SPEND gold, make you gold.. Just make things drop more gold, can hide it in some obscure places, specific mob packs or whatever.. or they can have some even that lowers the rates a bit
Nope, that defies the purpose of having gold in the first place, where you have to legit play to make gold. Just buff the gold rates with higher tiers.
5 to 10k? i was making 20k gold minimum from t16s with even low investment strategies, some of which are decent but not the most optimal mechanics (harbs, ambush) i agree gold can go a bit higher in output but you should not be struggling that hard
Did you get the last mining upgrade? It adds almost 1k per map and even 2 if you get 2 ore spawns. Also the gold you're getting Is very low for red maps, unless you're still in yellow or white maps. It definitely gets better when you go up in tiers. Another thing you can do is constantly send low value boats for short distances to bait the pirate boss, he gives 35-50k gold everytime.
@@trad5479 sry but this is bullshit, i record gold gained per map, im doing only t16, atlas set for exarch, legion and expedition, top nodes for conquerors and guardians + box and shrines bonuses. With couple scarabs to add additional legion, some addional packs - 18-19k gold is absolutely max that i saw literally 3 times, usual amount is around 10-12k with some dips to 8k even few times into 6k if spawn were very bad, this also match what my discord is recording so either you are doing something that everyone else is missing or you dont bother to actually check how much gold you are getting from every map, ofc you can try to juice maps even more ie 100% delirium but builds that can do these comfortably is limited, in comparison t17 is just beyond above what t16 can do
Endurance charges can easily be solved by using Enduring composure and 2 passive points. Sure it feels bad to perhaps be forced to that, but it's not hard to get at all.
Thanks for this tip. You've helped me. The other passive is one one the tree that you get endurance charges when you kill things and have a shield but that doesn't work for me because I'm using holy relic.
"we've made defensive layers easier to get" -> Does the opposite. Whats the point of buffing things if you just nerf everything by more in the same category
@@TheCosmicAstro-the nerfs to Determination and Grace is because almost EVERY HC build ran Grace, Determination and Defiance Banner because their buffs were so strong on their own. Clearly they weren't in a good place balance wise
@@TheFreepie That isnt an argument lol. They were basically required to have solid defenses, this is being proven with the global issues people are having with defenses. Even IF for a moment i pretended that you were correct(youre not). And we say these buffs were too strong by themselves. The new base types are not a reliable source to make up for it, alongside we were given NOTHING to replace the defenses that were lost. Alongside we lost a ton of physical taken as elemental conversion. The point is if they want to nerf a defensive layer ok sure whatever, but you MUST give a realistic alternative at the same time. Simply deleting defenses feels like shit and this has been proven many times over for years.
@@TheCosmicAstro- we were given more health, quality is now more instead of increased armor, and I don't have to give up 95% of my mana anymore. I love these changes.
I think the same problem that exists with the wildwood exists on a smaller scale but way, WAY more commonly with resistance monsters (fire & ignite, lightning & shock, etc.). They're far tankier than everything else in a map including the boss and give no extra reward. Fighting them is a complete waste of time and sometimes those mods spawn on like an essence that you need, and essence monsters are already tanky enough when they get 3 - 4 essences. These resistance mods need to be nerfed or removed or at the very least not be able to double up i.e. physical resistant & crit resistant or fire & ignite and spell resistant.
One thing I noticed, the Admiral fight where you defend the ship spawns at max ilvl everytime. Haven't checked if it scales with health but I had it spawn for me at lvl 86 and was hoping it would scale to my maps (white maps). Instead, it was max ilvl(84) I did 0 damage to him lol
I'm not going to max out number of workers, but move them around to what I need. It's working out pretty well. Maxing your town means you need to max out your gold. I think the League is probably the best, because it's so different and it's a blanket addition to the game instead of just adding a new mechanic.
Once you max out your town youre just playing standard tho.. there is legitimately nothing interesting about the base game this patch since every interesting non-T17 strat was deleted.. Kingsmarch is/was great while it lasted.. but the base game is in an absolutely abysmal state.
@@jakemartin5553 Base game is literally the best its been in ages. Thank fuck theres no insane loot multipliers like necro or affliction. Melee isn't shit anymore.
I'd go as far as to add Gold drop rate to the small passives on the Atlas tree. Something like 1 or 2% extra gold per point on the nodes with rarity/quantity would help a lot. You'd be getting near double gold by the time you had your third tree unlocked. They also need to do a massive rework of Evasion IMO, it feels like a completely useless defensive layer and it's always better to just convert it to armour.
.. no. Just no. Did you not play necropolis where they added league related nodes to the tree? That ended up being a atlas tree tax, you were forced to take them on every atlas tree. League mechanics should never ever be on the atlas tree again, which GGG has already admitted Gold scales off item quant and rarity. Take the quant and map effect nodes, it's the same shit
As someone who blaster through leaugestart and got most of the stuff up, it felt amazing. but now when im workign and cant play 6+ hours a day im just not able to use many of the high-tier workers unless i want to run out of gold in like 2-3 hours
Definitely the drop in scaling loot at the high has massively affected alch-and-go even at T16. It's clear that it wasn't just a tail effect they chopped off but a median shift lower for all things that matter.
yeah, i dunno what the loot formula is exactly but it feels like they lowered the base drops to account for inflated multipliers instead of addressing the multipliers individually. Which just shifts the wealth even further into the giga farmers.
a defensive layer that feels like it could work with any build is brass dome and Ynda's Stand Studded Belt. the amount of ward you can get with just this combo is insane, and you can also increase the conversion to 60% if you use defense catalyst.
@@EvLDvE oP0xnnebA538 honestly my build isnt that great. i can tank most hits but sometimes i randomly just die and dots are hell. I think the defensive layer still works and would do great on most builds. Fortify really makes it tanky so if you can get that in your build it goes a long way.
Not me getting 1 tapped with 20 Fortify, Spell Suppression Cap, Slayer Leech, 4k life, 10k Evasion and Armour, 12% Dodge, Flesh and Stone, and 8 Endurance charges. :-()
I'm at 17 Fortify, 50k armour, 88/75 all res, capped spell supp, 4 end charges, 68/65 block with 450 life gain on block, and the only thing that can kill me in map is all-remnants Archaelogy expedition rares :p (Later waves of Ultimatum come close sometimes).
Thanks for the video. I've been noticing the gold anxiety in Delve a lot, I enjoy the mechanic very much and blasting through 40k of Sulphite gets me like 40k gold (depth 350) which is like 2 t16 maps worth of gold for 10 times increase of time spent, plus missing out on ore (a bit irony for the mine). Overall I LOVE this league, just the resource and gold balance seems to be a bit off.
The number one easiest fix for gold problems this league would have been adding Atlas passives that increase gold income or add special pirates or some shit that drop gold (other than the Admiral). I'm honestly pretty surprised they didn't do what they did for Necropolis and do that for Settlers, it would have solved so many issues he's talking about
To be honest, if you have gold anxiety and have to feel like you have to farm gold so that you can sustain your settlement while you sleep, thats a you problem not a grinding gear problem. The game isnt created for the 1% of the 1% that make this game their living. Most people don't have to have a virtual settlement operate while they sleep otherwise they experience physical symptoms. Plenty of other things worthwhile to do tbh.
One thing that would be nice & a decent "middle ground" for alleviating the gold pressure (from your mappers) is to have the option to have them run Kirac missions at a free or discounted price. You could also have it so scouting reports act as "chisels" in a 1:1 manner (& rarer reports offer much more valuable bonuses) as another way to burn types of currency we typically have no use for after a certain point. Not many people tend to utilize Kirac all too often & can end up with multiple missions banked after a given amount of time. Many people find it pointless to use Kirac outside of Completing your atlas & REALLY NICHE/FRINGE farming strats that tend to have worse returns than running similar maps/content through your own map device due to the benefits of your atlas tree. This all being said, people have been having to use these missions more to help sustain chisels though since it seems like now the way of alch-&-go is a thing of the past, & juicing is still *lucrative* but not really self-sustaining since they nerfed scarabs & chisels by changing their drop-type property & no longer scales with (non-existent) item quant.
the gold cost is indeed an issue, i dont want to grind for it before going to bed but i know this is what ggg wants, i dont do it and then i come back in the morning and feel like ive lost my time so it gets annoying more then fun.
@@Deminese2 i know, im stating that the league is creating fomo issues wich is very bad in the long term, its all about the direction the game is going that needs to change
Not just defences but we also lost a lot of attack speed, from rage, challenger charges, berserk and flask suffix. You're pretty much required to run vaal haste/haste in every attack build now, and because of mana cost increase You are no longer fine with just 30 mana left which makes it even harder to fit it in
Big agree. Recomb was the single most exciting thing I was looking forward to and they are depressing right now. Also, I feel like I have to spend an hour before bed and before work, making sure I have enough gold to cover those time spans are stressful.
Agree 100% on the Gold Anxiety. The feeling of going well I want to level a new character, but if I do I'm not going to get to interact with my town for another couple days feels terrible.
This. I thought the defense nerfs were completely unnecessary as it was already hard enough and pidgeon-holed enough before with defenses. Now it's just endurance charges to the max or fuck your paper thin build.
That's completely wrong. In POE a good offence is required and is the best defensive layer. Zizaran plays HC, HC plays by different rules and does not reflect the gameplay intended by the developers.
@@MyNameIsSalo They said "it sucks the fun out of building offense" which I completely agree with and that does not mean it isn't required...Your billion dps build is gonna feel like hot garbage if a basic mob sneezes on you and kills you and you take 4-5 portals to run every single map you do. It's not fun or engaging gameplay.
Thanks for the indirect compliment saying you have to be very good to not die this league xD. Started hardcore for the first time this league after playing since like 2014 and realizing i literally always build my character defenses and such as a hardcore character anyways. It is indeed a very difficult time feeling like i have proper defenses though and just last night even i had my death dancing omen proc and save my ass. many close calls. But been fun so far! not sure ill go back to SC
I've been trying to enjoy this league but as someone who doesn't just play PoE all day the gold poverty is just a massive chore that makes me not enjoy the league nearly as much as I had hoped
for the record, I do enjoy the league, it's just really hard to constantly have to worry about having enough gold to do literally anything but continue farming it.
@@chiefinasmiththat’s the whole point of playing a league though is the new league mechanic, if you totally ignore the new stuff why not just play standard
I'm a super casual player (softcore off and on player who uses guides), and I came to the exact same conclusions! I never played with the original recombinators but when I tried them in this league they just seemed rather useless. I was also rather disappointed to see such little gold income when doing stuff like blight. That said, I made an Atlas tree with a bunch of breach and abyss modifiers, and I get CRAZY amounts of gold & xp when I juice up a map with scarabs and stuff. Definitely seems like the prime way to power up Kingsmarch to me! This league has been a blast and I've been heavily addicted ever since it came out!
I totally wish I had more time to play the game because I 100% play SSF. The fomo in trade and being forced to play builds that can do t17s sucks and the scarab situation in general is terrible.
@@Deceit-hx7ey I usually go back once I’m done with trade and do some SSF practice runs but if the game doesn’t massively improve soon I’m either going to completely stop playing or make the swap to SSF all the time. T17s are awful and the scarab system is even worse.
Ive had a blast with ur starter Build Bleed SST. Big thx to that work! So, agree with the lack of gold. Its pretty well balanced until your Settlers reach around rank 9/10+. Until then you can really enjoy it, but after rank 9/10 you pretty much get out of gold pretty fast if you consider all possible things in that mechanic. Im still struggling how to combine having fun farming gold and playing the game and kinda push the mechanic. I feel kinda lost with the small amount of gold. Even if you consider doing other mechanics that dont push gold drops. In my oppinion there should be a gold drop bonus each rank your town gets upgraded as a basic boost to the gold you get from monsters. So you never feel like getting stuck on that.
Im already done with league, maxed out town...and its just not for me. I tried to make myself like it, but its not doing it for me. I do agree it was a very smooth start, and I can appreciate what they are doing. I may return mid league, but there are other things to play i enjoy more. And thats ok, I still love the game, I play every league, and look forward to what is next.
Shipping has brought me in two divines so far so that alone made all the work put into building this place worth it. However, I do wish we got more gold drops earlier levels, and the ore nodes were about 3-5x bigger because I keep seeing 0 ore to mine unless doing the end game-end game maps. There is just so many gold sinks that unless you farm T16-17's you can't keep up with either the currency exchange, upgrading the town or paying wages. Yeah on alts, if you play an Alt, you run out of gold. Way to many league mechanics do not drop enough gold.
I don't think GGG meant the league mec to be a constant AFK farm. If you get to max town lvl then you will need a lot more resources, but rewards will also increase. If they make it easier to get rewards, there will be a massive inflation. I think the mechanic is balanced. If you want massive amount of AFK loot, you will have to grind also a massive amount.
That's still a problem. It creates a source of FOMO which ruins enjoyment of the game, and prevents players from wanting to engage with a lot of content
yeah, town becomes pretty unsustainable endgame unless you are focus giga mapping and ignoring every other mechanic, worker salaries are like... completely random and not only getting high tier workers is hard, but rolling them for cost is not easy... they could really revamp (or even make another whole league) to improve this, I could totally see them adding something similar to Heist where you can get drop-able and craft-able items to customize it (workers or even buildings in this case), something with mods like: - reduced gold consumption - extra resources processed - extra gold per resource processed - shipments grant +% extra currency - shipments get -% risk - shipments get +% total value - a bunch of negative outcomes maybe it's two kind of items, one for the buildings (works to improve the general things of all workers like wages) and another for "work tools", they improve things for a particular job. or maybe not items but the workers themselves are craft-able items with rarities and all... also, add ways to get resources and gold from playing other league mechanics, like: - delve is literally the perfect target for ore farming adding ore nodes to the map - heists for large sums of gold - blight chest rewards containing gold/resources - harvest granting food resources and I would let recombinators to the experts, I have ideas but I wouldn't know how to balance it. I think what we want is having at least a bit of control on the process, like having to pay for up to 100 "juice-of-something" that you can use to spread among the modifiers of the items to make them more/less likely to appear in the final item, maybe use the tables of weights for prefixes/suffixes rolls for chances... or maybe the chances split on whatever mods you select, for example, lets say I select a single mod, then it's guaranteed to be on the final item... then let's say I want 2 mods, one from each item, well, that's going to make a 50-50 for both mods to be on the result (obviously the roll is chanced per mod with a 50% chance of happening in this case) and let's say I have two 6-mod items and I want 3-mods from each, well that's going to be 1/6 for every mod which is pretty unrealistic but you would want anything from 2-4 to be safe... this would also be extremely user friendly and pretty useful for campaign/early game... overall, I feel like the league economy is "balanced" so less experienced players are not left behind by giving them "free" currency and items on something they don't have to min-max and it's pretty straightforward
All they really had to do with recombinators is kill the multiple fractures onto one item. That was the only major offender imo. What’s wrong with having two Essence mods on an item? That was not super cheap to do unless u got really lucky. What they did is so anti-fun that it’s totally insane to me. As a dev if the mechanic was so broken that u had to do this many nerfs then don’t bring it back. Make a new mechanic. It’s lazy game creation while also just being stupid.
I thought i was crazy thinking that the game was much more punishing defensively. I never looked at the patch notes to see that defense was nerfed. I typically don't die while running through the main story, but both of my characters died multiple times. I'm glad I didn't try hardcore this season. I hope the gold income is fixed. I find that while I'm playing, everything is fine. After a couple of hours, i have a decent amount of gold built up. When I come back the next day, it's all gone and I need to play a little before I can send my next ship out. I started holding some gold just so that I can start shipping when I get back on. and don't need to wait until after a run. I thought incorporating the game with a mobile app would be kind of cool, but I'm on the fence about it. On one hand, a mobile app that allows you to manage all of your workers and shipments sounds like a good idea, but I'm always iffy on blending mobile and pc. IF I recall, Assasin's creed tried it with black flag. If they did add a mobile game that linked to the pc game, they could have other tasks that could be completed to earn gold. Any shipments that you receive could go into a chest for you to dig through when you get back on. The app could help with some of the gold issues. As far as it being a game though, I wouldn't want it to be linked if they did that, unless the only thing linked was gold earned from the game, or gold earned based on accomplishments in the mobile game.
@@PowerfulSkeleton If you read the last 3 words, that is what I said. The majority of the video was talking about bad things, but he opened and closed with how he loves all the 'bad' stuff.
I think they should add ability to sell resources for gold or have disenchanters scramble item for gold. With recombinator being bad there is nothing to do with dust except add 8 k of it to every shipment
I agree, one if not the best league ever. I experienced a bug with smelters where they would smelt verisium even though none were allocated to it. This made it difficult to upgrade where Verisium ore was required and I had to stop all smelting until I secured the upgrade.
im just not understanding how people are broke, i do my own atlas trees and inefficiently experiment constantly and im honestly turbo dogshit at this game im currently sitting on 40 raw div and another 100div according to wealthyexile, with the bulk of that in currency and scarabs, with half my playtime spent goofing off in my hideout or playing 4fun and not with efficiency in mind i feel like you have to TRY to not make currency in this game, random general drops are definitely weak as opposed to before now, yes, yet i was still making profit from beyond, harbies, ambush, legion, ive done a shit ton of strats, and they all feel like they work well, obviously some way better than others, but general opinions of loot nerfs feels very exaggerated, it shouldn't be making you broke unless you were like new at the game, but at that point worrying about any of this stuff is completely pointless and self-defeating and regardless even if everyone was broke, that just makes it relative... realistically the very very top around like 1% of players are capped much much harder than anyone else, it just shouldn't be the case for the majority of people that play this game, makes me wonder if ppl are just echoing the opinions of their favourite streamer or reading too much reddit rather than actually playing the game for fun
Totally agree with you on this one, right on point. Gold anxienty is bad adn with few minor tweeks a league could be s tier. Hope to see it going core. Another wish for me personally is to have rhoas being modifiable for eg. based on your character stats and to have more racetracks. With a bit of more development just rhoa gambas could carry this league further than any other in terms of retention.
Yeah im having trouble with gold. Unless I play whole day, which is absurd, my upkeep is kind of crazy. Then it feels bad to go back and nobody is working. I want to progress but hitting good rares is impossible and crafting has ballooned out of its mind. Maybe it will take a whole league for me to actually be able to play t17 even with guide. Its only my 2nd league and i am constantly getting knowledge checked. Most of the time every thing is going well but then i randomly get one shot. I wish I know how I died so I can learn. Im about to go back to standard at this point just to learn. Playing new league is a bit too hard rn with prices of everything off the roof. Black morrigan cost 300c today... is this normal?
Tbh.. once you max out Kingsmarch.. youre just playing standard on a patch where the entire base game was nerfed to just be slightly worse in every possible way... except melee got a numbers boost alongside a massive sweeping nerf to attack speed across the board.
I feel ya. I just stayed on for half an hour after I was ready to go to sleep just so that I could make sure my town had enough gold to run till I get on tomorrow 😂 But at least the mechanic makes me want to play more, instead of not being fun enough to provide that desire.
Busy dad gamers can just hire crappier workers, the quality of the worker in everything else but mapping and sailing doesn't affect the result, only the speed. If you can only do a couple of maps a day, then you don't need to max out your miner worker count.
My loot was so bad I ended up switching to a meta build that costs much less to scale early. And aside from a few early shipments to get a leveling unique, it seems best just to turn off most of the town to focus on leveling mines and recruiting to max, farms and smelting enough to be able to generate resources for upgrades, and shipping enough to have access to all ports and 6 crew. Otherwise, you can easily end up with a cash flow problem and unable to send shipments that can actually earn good currency.
this league as a new player has me more hooked honestly being able to get orange gear "easily" is filling my dopamine and getting less bored with the game for now. the town feels like im doing something besides from just leveling up my own character. and being able to buy a respec easily by just getting gold instead of talking to lot of players helps alot with the new player fear for me personally
we have a way to process goods to make it worth 5x more on the ships , what i would like is that we can process things into beer/wine / other stuff so that it is worth 5x more like the bars
the new league mechanic is pretty much managing miscellania and player owned ports from runescape 3. runescape 3 has a mobile app where you can do your trades and manage your ports. i imagine this wouldn't be much more work to implement if it goes core and it would be great for dad gamers who cant farm for 18 hours a day
Big fan of ports on mobile. I'd definitely use a mobile app for Kingsmarch but how do we solve the gold consumption/farming problem? I feel like we'd burn through all of our gold using the app while away from the PC lol.
I don’t understand why there isn’t more people upset. The balance in this patch is laughably bad. Gold isn’t just a small problem, it is crippling because ground drops are so totally dead. So you end up a slave to grinding it in order to progress any build. And with defenses being so hammered down, the gold grind becomes truly frustrating as so many stupid things can suddenly one shot you that used to be no problem. I get it that some people are enjoying themselves, but for me I just don’t understand why they nerfed the fun right out of the game this patch. It could be saved, although the mobile game mechanics are going to be terrible no matter what. But with most streamers largely giving GGG a free pass again I doubt it will.
I agree. Do not use the Ruinator 9000. Your better off just waiting for the good gear to drop or get shipped. I feel its just an elaborate time-sink as of yet.
What a wild timing. I was thinking exactly same thing about gold yesterday, when I checked my Gold, and it was at 40k. I was like, damn, can't go to bed yet, gotta farm up the gold. And I did, which sucked. Thanks for bringing this up!
As a more casual player, base game is great. I've earned more currency than most other leagues, even without having a single divine drop. Now, the league mechanic sucks for casual. Pretty much stuck doing ones that last while online because it's harder to stack gold. It really sucks not being able to fully utilize the league until weekends.
Completely agree with you on the side content gold drops. I always do blight every league as my main side mechanic and this league I decided to just move away from it yesterday after days of bouncing back and forth between blighted maps and maps. You get as much currency as before on blight but you lose so much on gold, you get very behind and it ends up being not worth it. Hope GGG fixes that so I can blight again. Right now my endgame atlas build removes all side content and focuses solely on blasting maps and endgame bosses, which is not ideal.
1. Can't overstate how awesome the new pick up radius is. You don't even notice the change if you don't think about it, but oh boy it makes a difference. 2. It's refreshing to have a "reward" league instead of a "mechanic" league. I think however, this league might get old quickly because there isn't a new mechanic per se (besides the management). I think expanding Kingsmarch with it's own mechanic could be cool in a future league. I see great symbiosis with Delve...
I found recombination extremely good during campaign, got myself some ridiculous boots, very nice armor and shield. It just has diminishing returns with the prices of GOOD items to combine later on and, I suppose, just becomes gamba, but it's not awful.
I think the best and most immersive way to fix gold issue would be to get gold from ships. Let's say we send cargo worth of 50k gold. We could take only rewards we want and then discard remaining rewards for gold based on percentage of these 50k.
Great vid, one point how ever during the recomb section, I personally would've loved to see you actually try. haven't touched or watched anything about the recombinators this league.
Little QoL thing: If i enter the currency exchange, and start typing it should go in the search bar, instead of it closing down opening all of my UI components. Would love to see this change.
Definitely agree with gold costs, and I'm mostly just blasting T16s. Just started a new char though for a change of pace and turned off a lot of my workers to save gold. It seems a little unrealistic to keep up with the increasing resource demands from the shipping ports as they go up. Like 81k Bismuth?! That's gonna take me a week to grind that out being a normie who has a full time job. But either way, it is a really fun league mechanic. Haven't touched recombinators and I guess glad I didn't. Mapping seemed extremely not worth it from the start.
Your comments on Gold costs really hit the nail on the head. I'm a huge alt-o-holic and I feel like I can't do anything but grind on my first character because my Kingsmarch will run out of gold before I get back to maps. I've got like 5 divines worth of currency that I feel like I can't use because I gotta grind gold.
When you get your second build up and running you should try destructive play atlas, it's so much fun each map ends so fast and you get so many maps and every time you drop the right maven chisels you go huph that's free 70+ chaos and I dropped quite a bunch of T17 and valdo boxes too. It also solved the gold sustain issue for me.
For me, the biggest thing this league is the currency exchange. I am not a full blaster and only broke into multiple div per hour farming two leagues back with essence low invest. After the changes to the scarabs, I could farm essences with nothing anymore profitably and I didn't want to waste my time, trading single scarabs for hours, just to run a dozen maps. Now, the currency exchange is so big for me, that I have farmed more currency than any other league before, because it's so easy and fast to get your map crafting items like chisels, vaals and scarabs. I really hope this goes core, otherwise it would be a deal breaker for me. I am really interested in GGGs analysis of the CE, how it impacted the market and if there needs to be adjustments, but so far, I had no problem goldwise. That being said, I don't run map runners, only farmers and shippers now, because like you said, I don't thing map runners is that rewarding compare to a huge shipment.
Agree with almost all - I think it's reasonable that your city comes to a halt when you have a new character. In other leagues, you generally wouldn't be doing the league mechanic with a new character, and that's the same here.
Run Flesh and Stone, the 20% damage reduction is pretty good. I have 2 builds with max block and flesh and stone and i die very rarely. Block is kind of the new best defense layer for melee right now.
Not sure if I got your idea of a completely separated PoE-Game right, but as mobile it should somehow still be connected to your normal leaguers. However, it’d be great if we could manage town+idle stuff from a mobile app, which influences your desktop experience. My god, 24/7 PoE ahead …
Being able to pay extra gold to mark a single mod on one of the two items to get an increased chance of being transferred would be great for me. Still rng, but just hoping a little more
I would like for wages to be lowered like a LOT and in return hiring to be really expensive. Playing casually kinda makes it hard to keep all your workers up and upgrading at the same time.
Was really expecting the outro to be "try to die less than our map runners do" 😂
even in SC the map runners die forever kinda unfair and strange, they should just die and lose portals and fail not just void lol unless your playing HC
@@banishedbr Dying to a 1% risk feels like the xcom misfiring at point blank meme
@@lifeloverNorris90% hit chance, innit?
Gold definitely needs a significant buff because cost overruns for basic operations for Kingsmarch is oppressive.
What are you doing with your maps in that case?
The shipment reward not scaling equally when entering big number shipment is disappointing, I want to send giga shipment that takes 6-8 hour to send and sleep, wake up and get giga reward
That is exactly how it works, but it's a bit more nuanced
I agree, scaling is shit. The rewards need to scale exponentially and multiplicitavaly and they simply do not.
@@MyNameIsSalo It isn't though.
The lack of loot really is a downer for me, im a week in deep in T16 and i cannot sustain chisels even its crazy
Have you normally been able to sustain chisels ..? Affliction and Necropolis don't count as the item drop rates there were out of control and do not represent normal gameplay. And in prior leagues you never sustained chisels
do you run rare corrupt maps? i run them with 150% rarity on gear and having a lot of fun loot wise
Logbooks sell for 20+ chisels rn. I run the big bomb node for expedition and sell my logbooks for chis. Expedition dropped 2 div at once last night.
I should probably sell some now that I think about it lol
and currency exchange is awesome
Which is also gated by gold, exacerbating the problem. 🙈

Love the league mechanic. But the gold drop need a major buff. The low amount of gold killed it for me.
@@c0refreAk. Same here bro, except i prioritize food for currency, since I'm a noob and getting divines is a pain
Or both

How ziz talked about the way recombinators are a shell of what made them fun is the same feeling I got with how they gutted harvest over the years.
I just have a smelter on 1 thing I have a bunch of and defund the town to some extent when I head to bed.
the gold really sucks with a fully upgraded town.
you have to grind forever just to go to sleep or level an alt.
You can also not grind then go to sleep and grind when you wake up
they just stop working, it's not like the town will fall apart and you will need to start over, don't stress yourself
is it worth updating your town fully?
@@vuton7670upgrade farm, mine max first. You dont really need to max disenchanter just enough to get decent dust. Runemaking and combinators arent really necessary.

A slider for recombinators would just recreate the same problem Necropolis had, where it is only used for teh highest endgame crafts because anything less is a waste of gold.

That's actually kinda weird that you say this, as I bounced around tons of mechanics and feel like Blight is one of the very few that rewards enough gold to feel fair.

my main issue is the gold FOMO.
I see a lot of "elitism" on the sub reddit saying " Gold is fine"
It's not. IT really really really IS NOT. It's fine at the start - but when stuff starts costing 10K+ it's already stressful and stops being a fun league mechanic and becomes a second job
Got so excited about gold being mentioned that I forgot to say : YES for the defense situations early on.
It’s like they shadow nerfed everything but sanctum, it’s crazy the difference in loot between it everything else.
@@Nyver253 They didn't shadow nerf anything. They literally nerf quant on bunch of different monsters and stated as such in the notes. Sanctum doesn't get touched by that. Sanctum also has always been immensely OP for currency farming. Far better than any other league that involved static rewards.
@@mp7311 sanctum has been OP ever since they added it back.
@@zulazhar1259 Exactly what I said. "Sanctum also has always been immensely OP for currency farming"
The league mechanic is actually fun and rewarding tho, i've been getting divines regularly from my 1-2mill ships
edit: oh also sanctum still prints divine like crazy, it f*ing sucks when a mechanic is insanely more rewarding than literally anything else
Your cognitive dissonance is fucking crazy 😂, everything is shit with no loot, please nerf sanctum
cant even sustain chisel at t16 with 4 scarabs...
Then you're doing something wrong with your tree somewhere. I only have 2 watchstones and have been sitting permanently at T16s and only just started chiseling in the last couple days.
@@eckology016 I think he meant, he is chisel broke. He has zero chisels.
@@Gordond2009 this. Ive got more divs than chisels.
5k wisps with wispsed map boss node and its zero loot difference its insane
That node is not worth it taking more time to kill the boss, dangerous play node from Maven which adds 2 more boss is a lot better
I took the wisped map boss node last league and didnt notice much loot difference either. I did die a lot more though.
I want to know if ggg intended for us to run every part of the town at once, or if they thought we would choose 2-3 town nodes to fund. It would explain the amount of gold we receive.
Not sure I agree with side content not dropping gold. It makes it hard to justify doing something outside of normal mapping.
I am enjoying myself just think we need some small tweaks.
see thats the thing. all the town/league mechanic are interconnected to only do select few of it.
but i'm with you on the side mechanics. i'm not a juicer, my current build can also do only t16 easily, t17 barely, and not having problems with gold
hopefully gold buff is incoming for non-juicers/the rest of 99%/non-streamers
@@bakedmomo5693 Mapping is completely dosconnected from anything else, farming has nothing to do with ore, disenchanting is only required for recombination and it's use for shipping is extremely low in terms of cost. Shipping can be done using only ore or only crops zero problems. It is simply not true that they interconnected too much.
Don't know if it's intended but it's the only way most of us can interact with the mechanic. Basically just run farmers+boats.
The league mechanic will only be saved by passive gold generation. Shipments and Mappers should generate gold. I also think there should be some kind of shop that works just like the disenchanter that converts items to gold.
That would be completely stupid.
I think gold from the side stuff (alva etc.) is a must they need to make it pump out a lot more.
5K to 10k gold per map is not enough, i am struggling getting gold, rerolls are super expensive. my town is just dead
5 to 10k? i was making 20k gold minimum from t16s with even low investment strategies, some of which are decent but not the most optimal mechanics (harbs, ambush)
i agree gold can go a bit higher in output but you should not be struggling that hard
5 to 10k is totally normal for alch and go. Some mechanics don't add much gold also
Did you get the last mining upgrade?
I have the feeling that outside of T17 you have no chance to get any currency or valuable items dropped
I have made over 100div without Entering a T17, and no I am not no lifing. 64h since league start, around 400k kills.

"we've made defensive layers easier to get" -> Does the opposite. Whats the point of buffing things if you just nerf everything by more in the same category
you must be new to POE, this is how GGG balances the game. They are so fucking good at selling a nerf as a buff
The determination and grace nerf was really stupid.
Defenses are already turbo scuffed, hate that they keep nerfing defenses
Instead, it was max ilvl(84)
I did 0 damage to him lol
I'm not going to max out number of workers, but move them around to what I need. It's working out pretty well. Maxing your town means you need to max out your gold.
I think the League is probably the best, because it's so different and it's a blanket addition to the game instead of just adding a new mechanic.
Idle workers don't charge you so if they aren't doing anything they don't charge, no need to move workers around
Once you max out your town youre just playing standard tho.. there is legitimately nothing interesting about the base game this patch since every interesting non-T17 strat was deleted..
Kingsmarch is/was great while it lasted.. but the base game is in an absolutely abysmal state.
@@jakemartin5553 That's a bit of a doomer view with the game.
@@enqubas I'd just ignore guys like that. There's no changing their minds about the state of the game.
League mechanics should never ever be on the atlas tree again, which GGG has already admitted
Gold scales off item quant and rarity. Take the quant and map effect nodes, it's the same shit
Sustaining gold for my city stresses me out.
Could you link your pob? Curious on what this all looks like.
all joke aside but 10k armour would be so low in this setup tho - 40k both would be giga chad and... still dying to white expedition mob.
I will say that your life and armour seem a bit low, but yeah the other layers should be more than making up for it
I'm at 17 Fortify, 50k armour, 88/75 all res, capped spell supp, 4 end charges, 68/65 block with 450 life gain on block, and the only thing that can kill me in map is all-remnants Archaelogy expedition rares :p (Later waves of Ultimatum come close sometimes).
Do you really think those stats are anything close to being tanky lol?
10k xd
Thanks for the video. I've been noticing the gold anxiety in Delve a lot, I enjoy the mechanic very much and blasting through 40k of Sulphite gets me like 40k gold (depth 350) which is like 2 t16 maps worth of gold for 10 times increase of time spent, plus missing out on ore (a bit irony for the mine).
Overall I LOVE this league, just the resource and gold balance seems to be a bit off.
loot is worse then ever they fucked up big time on that part.... everything else is close to a 10
Glad they finally fixed loot so we can grind again
The number one easiest fix for gold problems this league would have been adding Atlas passives that increase gold income or add special pirates or some shit that drop gold (other than the Admiral). I'm honestly pretty surprised they didn't do what they did for Necropolis and do that for Settlers, it would have solved so many issues he's talking about
Was too good to be true, GGG always finding a way to ruining shit.
I llike the Farm Ville aspect of the League, with the ships trading, you get a lot of decent gear and currency early game.
I mean, then don't put gold in your town treasury? You just want the town to be running and not pay for it
Then don't you don't need to have ships going 24/7 This is a fomo issue not a league issue.
Imagine playing a game where u have to be so focused on building defences that it sucks the fun out of building offense
This. I thought the defense nerfs were completely unnecessary as it was already hard enough and pidgeon-holed enough before with defenses. Now it's just endurance charges to the max or fuck your paper thin build.
That's just not the case for PoE.
@@BiredorilI mean, it’s all side shit that you don’t really need right? It helps, but it doesn’t seem mandatory

When not playing in trade , the pressure to use all 500 scarabs and farm t17s is off. Game seems much more fun.
I totally wish I had more time to play the game because I 100% play SSF. The fomo in trade and being forced to play builds that can do t17s sucks and the scarab situation in general is terrible.
i agree, playing SSF removes a lot of potential "stress", i do stuff at my own pace at my own will :p
Yeah mechanic is well balanced, it gives 0 reward therefore you dont care about actually doing it so you dont care about gold that much
Any league where melee is fun and strong is great to me, love the shipping missions for passive income in SSF and the deterministic outcome of it.
yeah, town becomes pretty unsustainable endgame unless you are focus giga mapping and ignoring every other mechanic, worker salaries are like... completely random and not only getting high tier workers is hard, but rolling them for cost is not easy...
they could really revamp (or even make another whole league) to improve this, I could totally see them adding something similar to Heist where you can get drop-able and craft-able items to customize it (workers or even buildings in this case), something with mods like:
- reduced gold consumption
- extra resources processed
- extra gold per resource processed
- shipments grant +% extra currency
- shipments get -% risk
- shipments get +% total value
- a bunch of negative outcomes
maybe it's two kind of items, one for the buildings (works to improve the general things of all workers like wages) and another for "work tools", they improve things for a particular job.
or maybe not items but the workers themselves are craft-able items with rarities and all...
also, add ways to get resources and gold from playing other league mechanics, like:
- delve is literally the perfect target for ore farming adding ore nodes to the map
- heists for large sums of gold
- blight chest rewards containing gold/resources
- harvest granting food resources
and I would let recombinators to the experts, I have ideas but I wouldn't know how to balance it. I think what we want is having at least a bit of control on the process, like having to pay for up to 100 "juice-of-something" that you can use to spread among the modifiers of the items to make them more/less likely to appear in the final item, maybe use the tables of weights for prefixes/suffixes rolls for chances...
or maybe the chances split on whatever mods you select, for example, lets say I select a single mod, then it's guaranteed to be on the final item... then let's say I want 2 mods, one from each item, well, that's going to make a 50-50 for both mods to be on the result (obviously the roll is chanced per mod with a 50% chance of happening in this case) and let's say I have two 6-mod items and I want 3-mods from each, well that's going to be 1/6 for every mod which is pretty unrealistic but you would want anything from 2-4 to be safe... this would also be extremely user friendly and pretty useful for campaign/early game...
overall, I feel like the league economy is "balanced" so less experienced players are not left behind by giving them "free" currency and items on something they don't have to min-max and it's pretty straightforward
nice ideas
Where is the loot in maps? Ziz TLDR: "Everything sucks this league, but Im a masochist, so IFL it!"
He said he loves the league, though.
This made it difficult to upgrade where Verisium ore was required and I had to stop all smelting until I secured the upgrade.
im just not understanding how people are broke, i do my own atlas trees and inefficiently experiment constantly and im honestly turbo dogshit at this game
im currently sitting on 40 raw div and another 100div according to wealthyexile, with the bulk of that in currency and scarabs, with half my playtime spent goofing off in my hideout or playing 4fun and not with efficiency in mind
i feel like you have to TRY to not make currency in this game, random general drops are definitely weak as opposed to before now, yes, yet i was still making profit from beyond, harbies, ambush, legion, ive done a shit ton of strats, and they all feel like they work well, obviously some way better than others, but general opinions of loot nerfs feels very exaggerated, it shouldn't be making you broke unless you were like new at the game, but at that point worrying about any of this stuff is completely pointless and self-defeating
and regardless even if everyone was broke, that just makes it relative... realistically the very very top around like 1% of players are capped much much harder than anyone else, it just shouldn't be the case for the majority of people that play this game, makes me wonder if ppl are just echoing the opinions of their favourite streamer or reading too much reddit rather than actually playing the game for fun
Still the stale T17 meta

Just delet t17
Tbh.. once you max out Kingsmarch.. youre just playing standard on a patch where the entire base game was nerfed to just be slightly worse in every possible way... except melee got a numbers boost alongside a massive sweeping nerf to attack speed across the board.

Little QoL thing:
If i enter the currency exchange, and start typing it should go in the search bar, instead of it closing down opening all of my UI components.
Same here…today (level 92) I finally took some time and fixed my flasks 😂
The new base types are great, and make reduced prerequisites an actual stat. I kind of like it
Agree with almost all - I think it's reasonable that your city comes to a halt when you have a new character. In other leagues, you generally wouldn't be doing the league mechanic with a new character, and that's the same here.
I think that armour is in a bad spot right now without determination. As a full armour-based build I feel so squish without endurance charges.
