Looking through the comments here I see a lot of people acting like the iPhone is faster, which it is, for a couple minutes. The iPhone is great don't get me wrong but software isn't magic and It drives me nuts when everywhere I go people just say "iPhone good because optimization" that's an oversimplification and incredibly misleading. The red magic IS better at gaming than the iPhone, but they're in two separate categories. If you feel the need to defend the iPhone then you've missed the point. It can be used as a point of reference, but it's not meant to be a competitor. If you're one of those people that thinks apples software is magic and "more optimized" than Android you should watch the video on iOS and Android ram management made by Gary explains. It's interesting and he explains the so called "optimization" that iPhone fanboys bring up as if they're a programmer and have any idea what they're talking about. And for reference, I am an iPhone user. Im not saying iOS is bad, its just rather annoying seeing other iPhone fans acting like it's much better than it really is. Anyways that's my rant for the day lol

I agree while the view perspective is definitely correct if you actually look at pubg or codm youtubers they generally use iphone and ipad and a RUclipsr did a test to it was the iphone 11 vs op9 pro and he found that the iphone was super snappy while yes it did dim first it was just better in terms of fps and responsiveness and gyroscope was way better on the iphone but I see where you are coming from
@@ezronthelegend the iPhone has the advantage because they have the most powerful chips, and they don’t overheat as hard as Qualcomm’s chips do. And even when the iPhone overheats it still drops to a level that’s still quite good. Most androids start below the iPhone to begin with and then drop hard when it gets hot. The reason the red magic beats the iPhone at gaming is because it’s performance never drops, and it’s just high enough over the iPhones throttled performance that it’s “technically” better after a few minutes of gaming, Albeit only slightly.
I don’t think anyone should actually pick this phone to be their main device, even if it’s better at gaming and never overheats i would never pick it over a more well rounded phone. Gaming phones sacrifice everything just to be as fast as possible and that’s not a sacrifice I would take. But it is an impressive little machine.

What they should have done is added a slider to make the air intake watertight when not gaming or when the fan isn't in use.
And when you forget to slide it off while gaming, a notification pops on the screen reminding you to open the vents, and keeping the game automatically paused until you do so.

imagine if this phone had flagship cameras and a mainstream design and long years of software updates it would actually compete with the current flagships but making it very focused in one area means that it wont be mainstream

Our entire society says thst apple is the God of devices. And they were when Steve was at top. Since then no innovation (only odd copycat feature/function) allowed the app store to be dominated by fake/dangerous/nothing 'apps' up until recently paying out the bungholio and slowly but surely taking away your digital protection+privacy rights. OsX as well. Android is quickly taking back market share thankfully. Even windows and (thank God) Linux getting some market share back from them on desktop. That said, the m1 MCU chip is somewhat of a game changer 🥰

I agree, I definitely miss the headphone ports. At the same time I use iems that need an external Amp to be able to power them. Wish they would combine hifi daps/dacs with these new phones..

How come no tech reviewer talks about when the cooling fan gets dirty, how are you going to clean that? The phone is glued shut.
Compressed air, may it be a machine or compressed air spray cans that you can buy at a cheaper price, then get small fine tip brushes to brush of the vents. You don't really need to sweep the fan itself to clean it, blowing or sucking air from the vents would do.

something worth to mention - If you are a mobile gamer and planning to buy phone like that and use those side 'triggers' keep in mind that you will be in matchmaking with people using controllers or android emulator on pc - you won't have any advantage in game it will be only harder to play coz of your opponents playing on keyboard and mouse or regular controller.
Or heres a better idea use 4 or 3 fingers you get ways more advantage than controller players
That's not true, it's made possible by software which means it won't detect it and match you differently.

Not really true, most mobile games have built-in software that seperates emulator users and true mobile users, *should* you encounter a game that doesn't support this feature, it's either a small game or doesn't require it at all since it's not an FPS

New one plus 10T does actually have a 1k hz touch sampling rate not that it would translate to a real world difference.

Hi, I have 2 phones that I can play CODM on. A S20 5g w/12gigs ram 128 storage. Red Magic 7s Pro w/18gigs ram 512 storage.
Without an external cooling fan the S20 throttles after 30 minutes on high graphics and starts dropping fps massively. So, I use a mobile, cooling, gaming cradle called AK77 made by MEMO, it cools the phone tremendously and allows for hours of gaming on med graphics and ultra fps.
The 7s Pro can play for an hour or more before it gets warm but no noticeable throttling at 90fps.
With the Turbo Cooler attached to the 7s Pro it stays 12° Cooler than without. I just wish the Turbo Cooler was battery powered and had handles with triggers and was shaped like an old Nintendo 64 controller.
Oh and YES this phone smoked the iPhone 13 in bench tests..

Would be nice if they move the rear camera to the exact centre of the phone and then add additional bindable rear buttons, like the additional buttons pro controllers have near where the fingers grip the controller.
It having a headphone jack just makes this better than any phone already imo.. wireless earphones and earbuds are not for me

You can get earphones that end in a USB C instead of a jack. Fixed the no jack issue for me.
Thats what I have.. for me its better to have a jack and charging port seperatly so I can just charge phone and have earbuds in at the same time

Since gaming phones have those air vents for cooling down the phone. Do those ever end up collecting dust, and if so, is it difficult to clean?
6s Pro for a year and I have never had any issues with dust. This is my daily phone

They probably have the same performance, but the aeroactive cooler of rog 6 provides better temperatures, but the built in fan of redmagic is more practical. Rog 6 is has better camera both front and main due to it having sony imx sensors. Nubia is cheaper. Both are the top leading gaming smartphones out there right now in terms of both performance and cooling capabilities. It would really depend on the consumer's taste and budget
@@chini2W0 Nah. Redmagic has better cooling system than rog. Interal vs external fan are you kidding ? Rog fan only cool down the back glass not the inside unlike redmagic and plus you can buy external for Redmagamic. Now you have both internal and external cooling mechanism.

@@ezronthelegend iphone does not have 120fps for all games. And only the top 13 pro and pro Max, which are not sold in the volumes of ip 13 vannila.
And just because most of years of support, a 2019 high end phone can play at 90fps, and many less demanding ones have unlocked fps. And my phone is literally 2/3 price of iphone 12 yet supports 90fps in heavy games.
And the most efficient chip is actually d8100 which puts out highest fps/ watt, iphone 13 pro Max comes second.
Just because of earlier introduction of high refresh rate screen and gaming phones, Androids have had a lot of time introducing high fps in games

Yes i was taking about the 13 pro and max series but the the 13 pm sold so much units which is 90million units which is a lot so many people already have 120 fps on their hand secondly you are wrong android only has a few games optimised while iphone its the opposite with a few games being unoptimised thirdly while 90 fps is amazing your phone cant hold its performance for long it will throttle soon unlike iphone which holds for a bloodly long time and hence its expensive price while the d8100 is efficient its lacks power so they made the d9000 which is powerful but not efficient so either way apple is a great combination of efficiency and power
