It would have been very interesting, to see the temperature difference between the pure rock 2 with one fan and wih 2 fans in push pulll configuration ! Would you please be so kind, to make a short video and post it ? It would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks ! ! ♥️👏👍
Instead of the certainly pretty custom cables and RGB I'm actually much more interested in the level of noise this setup produces in idle and on full load. Would you mind sharing some information on that matter? Also does the second fan on the Pure Rock make any difference temperature and noise wise?
Regarding the push pull configuration of the air cooler, I sent an email to be quiet! support and this was what I got: "The different speed cannot damage the fans. The airflow might differ and can cause turbulence. Might be an idea to mount the faster fan at the front an use the slower one to pull. But we cannot tell you what will get the better results."
Pure rock 2 is a great AMD cpu upgrade cooler from say a Wraith prism, literally 10 degrees + cooler temps. The FX version allows you to get that rgb pop if you like that as well. I recommend getting the 2nd cooler fan just to cover any thermals due to random environment issues. Good video!
Yes to this in this case. I use the Pure rock 2 aswell in a push pull confic with Arctic P12s. After i removed the slower beQuiet Pure Wing 2 in the Back of the PC Case (Zalman S2) and left it just away, the temps got even better. Makes sense. For intake i use 3 Arctic P12. Cools an i7 8700 at locked 1.2 vcore. It never saw 70 once in this setup. It is amazing. Gaming barely goes beyond 55-60.
13:00 I have the dark rock 4, which also comes with that bracket. I have no idea how they decided that was a good way to do it. I like the cooler, but I installed the bracket wrong the first time, thankfully I was paying enough attention to realise that it was on an angle.
PS - If you get rid of the drive bay at the bottom of the case the lower front fan will be able to work better, moving more air to the underside of the GPU. Just wondered if you tried that?
I’m running the pro 4/w with 5800x3d and my temps are about 10dgrees cooler then this setup...so YES push pull on a rock 2 but the pro 4 destroys it in cooling AND quietness....
I built my pc a few weeks ago with the same 5800x3d, but I put in a arctic liquid freezer 2 240 and top mounted it. The fit was perfect and thankfully since that AIO only has a single cable, there was no cable mess at all. I totally understand this is an airflow focused case and air coolers will love it, but Arctic is perfect AIO and it can cool the 5800x3d without issue, albeit it is a hot chip regardless. Oh and I paired it with an EVGA 3080 12gb FTW3. I LOVE THIS PC!!!
same case? what board are you using? the arctic liquid freezer 2 240 is one of the best and quietest aios on the market. i´m gonna build nearly the same set up around black friday. hope for better prices here in germany...
@@lastsamuraiplays5269 yes I have the same 500fx case and CPU. I was able to fit everything on the MSI B550 gaming plus mother board. And I used crucial ballistic rgb ram and everything was an exact fit with a top mounted liquid freezer 240mm aio
Pinnacle MM1 Konduit RGB worked a treat on both Gigabyte, MSI boards i have tested it on. No samsung b die, got a 3200MHz kit overclocked to 3600MHz 1.41V.
I have same setup, but only one fan on the cooler. In cinebench-multi core test temps are reaching 90,5°C (I used noctua termal paste). Does one additional fan on the cooler really helps lowering temps that much?
So bro is OK to add a high speed 120mm fan on the cpu cooler despite the one will spin at 2000 rpm and the other at 2500? Did you use a fan spliter to connect them both on the cpu fan socket ?
Im getting these exact parts in a few days. From my understanding i don´t have to apply any extra Thermal Paste to the CPU? As opposed to the Thermal already applied to the Pure Rock 2?
Plan to upgrade to 5800x3d, just wondering if my Be Quiet Shadow Rock Slim 2 will be sufficient to cool w single fan and very good case flow in an Airflow 4000? Comments. Great vid as well
I'm researching this case at the moment for a new system build for myself and had pretty much decided this was going to be the ideal case. I'm planning an Intel 13900K which really needs an AIO water cooler so was planning to run a be quiet! 280mm Pure Loop 2 FX in the top of this case until your previous review video of the case and this build video in the case you repeatedly advise not to use any AIO in this case. The thing is the 13900K is a hot little thing and needs one so does that rule this case out for a 13900K build in your opinion? Thanks
You can do it, it doesn't rule it out completely, but I just wouldn't. You'll save yourself some nerves if you go for something bigger. Especially for a 13900k. Additional mass can only help with a build like that
@@STSYT Thanks, I already looked at something bigger for the case although I would have liked to build in a Be Quiet Pure Base 500 FX and use a Pure Loop 2 AIO. Now I am looking at either a Corsair 5000D air flow RGB or MSI Prospect 700R. The main problem is I've never build a system with RGB of any kind before, the last system I bought and built myself was a 4790k in an Asus Maximus VII Formula so also never used an NVME drive before.
@@pipnmazidk if you've already bought the pure loop aio but i've read many times that it performs bad for the price and isn't even that silent. I just wanted your opinion if you've bought it or maybe also warn you.
@@hexenmeister601 Thanks for the warning. I ended up not getting the pure loop but going with the DeepCool LT520 AIO on the recommendation of the sales staff at the store. I went through every part of the system with the choices I was looking at and then what they recommended.
Hi, I don't understand, how can the lights colors on all of these devices synchronize with each other? How exactly are the LEDs on the fans related with the lights on the GPU, the RAM sticks etc?

I'm doing a very similar build in this case. Question: can you get all 4 of the memory slots filled without colliding with the fan? Talking Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro. ... hope so, as I have them on the way! Love the cables I have got just the straight orange ones coming as I thought the black/orange looks a bit busy. But they do finish off the build well.

Side-note, could you test this cooler on the 5950X maybe, and test the variations of single 2000rpm fan (that comes in the box), single 2500rpm fan and dual 2500 rpm fans? I know it's a lot but heluva curious about it!
Would have preferred hinges on the front panel. How many pulls before it breaks? No optical drive bay option and no reset switch. The search continues to replace my CM Stacker 830. Apparently side panel fans have been dead for years.
I don’t believe I did. If I don’t say otherwise, it’s regular closed. Temperature tests are nice to have but highly specific. In the past we did them more extensively for every build, but pretty much nobody can use these exact numbers as they don’t have the exact build. Maybe in the future we’ll do more again
Das mit der CPU ist für mich neu. Habe ich so noch nichts gesehen. Diese Radiator nervt mich und ich glaube ich gucke mir mal die CPU Kühler. Mal gucken.
This Cooler works until you use a GPU which can handle the 5800x3d like a 3080ti or 3090ti.. and thats the point where things get outta hand because the hot back plate of these big cards sticks on that cooler and heats up the CPU even more.
That is exactly why you use 280mm on this with radiator put separately on the right of the case or if you’re not going to do this, your only option is bigger case.
