THE BEAUTY THAT IS MISS TAMARA and a nice lady too i have met her many times she never forgets you and always has something to say to you BRAVA !!!!!!!
Technically, they are so perfect that it makes me wanna cry. But there's something strange about the way she walks, when she is not executing a particular ballet step, something about her feet, I don't know exactly what it is, but it looks strange to me, the positions feel wrong somehow. I am probably delusional, maybe I am the only one who sees it that way. But the point is, my Spanish heart cringes to see them. The dancing feels passionless for such a vibrant piece, particularly when the tempo increases. It's like watching ice cubes performing flamenco. There's something missing in their eyes. Maybe it's the coreography, maybe it's the quality of the shooting. When Misha danced the same role back in the day, it was completely engaging. Bujones also danced it in a totally different way, you could feel the energy so strongly. I confess I kind of regret the way ballet has evolved since I was a kid, technique is so harsh now that interpretation kind of went down the drain. Please, don't get me wrong, I LOVE McRae. I just don't think he was made for this particular role. And Tamara is amazing in her pirouettes, but I do expect to fall in love with Kitri when I watch Don Quixote and she isn't doing the trick here. Just my opinion.
This is my first time watching this ballet but I would guess it is the energy. Same with McRae who I absolutely adore. There is a lack in power with him too resulting in a rather flowy dance.
I hate to agree with you but, you are right, there's no spark. Strange really, when we know that both are very capable of energetic, lively, passionate dancing. Under-rehearsed perhaps.
Agree. Passionless. I grew up watching Carla Fracci. Natalia Makarova. BARYSHNIKOV. Gelsey Kirkland, Ivan Nagy. PAOLO BORTOLUZZI. REAL WARMTH AND FEELING. Macrae had more feeling and connection with Sarah Lamb.

Which theatres production is this?
Don Quixote
@@olgankaradeniz1330 @e g was curious as to the production, not the name of the ballet, I think. I have the same question.
I think it may be the Bolshoi: (1) the scenery (2) the rhythm of the corps' tambourines during Kitri's entrance. But I'm no expert.

i agree i found her cold and not at all believable. When you compare her to Nunez shes not a patch

I am sorry but I have seen better.....! Thanks!
Rojo never looks happy in any ballet.
