Delfts Blauw (Delft's blue) is a 17th-century pottery style, invented in the city of Delft as a response to the Chinese porcelain styles that the Dutch imported from the East. Floor looks much better. You can roll your towels and store them in the pull out cabinet. That’s what I’d do. You can also add a partition inside it for washcloths and hand towels. I’m thinking about painting my sink hardware brass with a satin overcoat. Hopefully it works out ok.

The floor looks great. Can't wait until you paint the white walls a different colour. I think that will make a huge difference to the feel of the room.
The tile looks fantastic, and really pretty. A great tip for peel and stick is to use the paper backing to make templates when doing cuts. Especially in awkward places like the toilet. Mold or fold the paper into the space, cut it out then place it on to the tile and trace the shape. I did this years ago in my whole home except the kids bedroom where we kept carpet and it worked amazingly well. So excited for part 2 🎉🎉🎉

Hi Macenna! Delft is a city in The Netherlands. It’s famous for its blue and white tiles and pottery that dates for a few centuries. It can be very pricey if you find the antique Delft. I love anything Delft. Has that old world look with a certain coziness.
Delft is so much more than a company. I think you would really enjoy researching it more and looking up its history. I'm sure you'll get a lot of comments about this one, but I love your videos!
The peal and stick tiles look lovely and such an improvement on the flooring. Have you considered covering the tile baseboards with a traditional, wooden baseboard? I think that would really enhance the look you are going for in the bathroom.
I know these videos aren’t the major home Reno diy’s that we’ve gotten used to in the past two years but I looove these too! They really have the feel of the OG MaCenna videos and these diys feel more accessible to me ☺️.
Hi MaCenna! Wow, what a difference the tile has made and I love the colour choice. I would paint the cupboards a very dark navy blue in a satin finish to match the tiny tiles on the wall. Another fab video; thank you so much for sharing. Still loving your channel! ox

Hi Macenna, the term Delft tile actually refers to the blue patterning on the tile that originates back to the 16th century. Delftware, the distinctive blue patterning, can be found on more than just tile (think pottery, kitchenware etc.) and is a recognized Dutch craft. The pieces can be quite intricate and beautiful!
Delft is a type of tile, not a company. Delft tiles, which feature blue and white depictions of mythical creatures and agricultural scenes, are iconic in the home design world-and they’ve recently been making a comeback, complete with fresh colors and imaginative portraits. With cottagecore and vintage design styles increasingly popular, today’s designers and homeowners are looking to delft tile to incorporate a historic element into their homes.
I would have kept the white tile and just changed the grout color to you new accent color. I believe just painting the walls to tone down the white walls would be nice. I would have used that pull out cupboard for toilet paper storage which takes so much room up. Use a gel stain on your vanity, it can go over any finish.

You are a genius. You have a problem, decide what needs to be done, then implement your solutions. You make it seem so easy. But I know it isn't. And the implementation works because of your planning. And skill. Well done.
❤ Love the floor, for cutting out the odd shaped tiles these two methods never fail me, one is the cheat board method and the other is the tape method (take some painters tape, tape the entire area of the tile including that odd bit that you need to cut, peel the tape up, place it onto the tile and ta darrrr 👏🏾 you have the exact shape on the tile with the odd shape that you need to cut 😊 no measuring needed
You're right, what the bathroom is lacking is warmth. The inspo pictures you've shown of a similar blue pattern tile you've liked, were more a cream/yellowish white than the cold white of your tiles (at least as it comes across from the video), so adding warmth is definetly the way to go! When you showed your idea with the peel and stick tile I instantly loved it, and it turned out so good already! ❤ Also I think there might be a tool that you can use to press it against an uneven corner/rounded edge (like your toilet) , that then stays in that shape so that you can transfer it on your tile or whatever. I'm sure I saw something like that, but I sadly don't know where and how it was named. But that could be a good Investment if you need to tackle similar projects in your other bathroom, or imperfectly shaped corners of your home ;) Can't wait to see the next part! :)
We used a wood patterned version of these peel and stick tiles in both of our bathrooms and they made a HUGE difference. We also caulked the edges. We love them!
When we bought our first home, we updated the entire house before moving in with paint, new flooring, window treatments etc. When it came time for the kitchen, we were over budget already (of course), so we went with a peel and stick tile. I loved it!! Because we had two small kids and two dogs, and the back door from the garage entered into the kitchen, we bought extra tiles just in case one got damaged. We ended up getting transferred and moving several years later, and the people who bought the house loved the floors!
Fun! I was not expecting a diy bathroom episode today - I loved it! The tile turned out so good! I did a herringbone pattern using peel and stick tiles to cover an old linoleum in our tiny bathroom. It’s our only bathroom for my family of 5, so very used! I installed 7 years ago and it’s still holding up so well! I did not use glue (even tho after I started I felt like I should have) but I did grout between. It’s not perfect, but I’m very proud of it! Around the toilet was so challenging! Can’t wait for episode 2!
First, congratulations on the new Jewelry Line it's GORGEOUS. I see a new pair of earrings and a ring in my future. Second, I get why you covered the tile, very hospital bathroom and to my surprise the peel and stick doesn't look too fake. Now, the blue and white tiles are STUNNING! Delft blue is a type of traditional Dutch Pottery with blue decorations, that was (is) made in the City of Delft. It was a cheaper alternative to the expensive Chinese porcelain. It depicts everything from daily life sceneries to flowers, but also some really weird things. The tiles are often very old (they originated in the 16th century).

Those last few tiles you put on were SO satisfying to watch! Like completing a puzzle 😍 great job as always!! Can’t wait to see the wood-look paint!
I think they might be original to the 30's please fall in love with them. I vote for Cornflower Blue for the walls!
Oh this peel and stick tile is so pretty MaCenna and you did a great job and this bathroom looks gorgeous. thanks so much for this great video, have a beautiful day, sending love and hugs, bye! 🥰🤗💜💜💜
Macenna the floor looks amazing.I've looked at these for our bathroom you just gave me the confidence to go for it.❤
Great job in the bathroom. Looks great. Congrats on your jewelry line, too!!

I ordered a mini rose ring! I can't wait to get it! Dainty gold jewelry is just so special - I'm so glad you did this collab! Congrats!!
MaCenna ,wow the bathroom floor look gorgeous , you always did beautiful job in all you DIY project . Thank you very much to share with all of us🥰
I used peel and stick tile in my rental for the kitchen. I had horrendous mucky brown vinyl flooring, and the floor is very uneven, but my new blue/cream tiles make such a huge difference! I used double sided carpet tape to help stick them down, so I can remove them when I move out.
I LOVE the new collection!! When you’re looking for a hinged bracelet and this shows up for a great price! So excited! 💜
