I super love the time stamps! Very helpful for tech reviews. Thank you!
Thanks for the positive feedback… I have time stamp on most of my videos!!! I am so happy you love it .. it is a great encouragement
Thanks for the review, I was deciding between these two option, it's really helpful! 😁
I liked your comments, so helpful! Thanks.
I was deciding between the two, thanks for the video!
Thanks for this great review, I am absolutely certain which to take now. Thank you!
Thanks for helping me decide. I had the same problem where my Razer headset was making my ears too hot. I was basically sweating my ass off after 5 minutes of wearing it. I also couldn't hear any background noise in the room, which was really frustrating because someone could literally be banging on my door and I couldn't even hear it at all. I also hate that I can't even hear my own voice, which really freaks me out every time I speak. I'm going to order to 390 now.
When reviewing and comparing wired headsets, could you please compare or show the wire length? I've bought a few headsets in the past that had a really short wire, and I never used it just because of that 1 reason. Had I known the wire was so short, I never would've ordered the headset. Great review. Very informative. Thanks 👍🏻
Thank you so much, I was struggling to decide which one and am happy to go with your choice now. Indeed very helpful
Man thanks for doing this review!, I’m in the same place as you, got a gaming headset which I use, but wanted a simpler one for all work related. Hey any chance you could showcase a Mic sample on these?
I don't see any difference in the mics of the two... but it is definitely a directional mic ... I have a air filter running on the background and it doesn't get picked up by the mic during my zoom calls.
very useful review. Appreciate that!!
Im also torn between these 2. thanks for the review i can now decide
Very good and fair comparison. Thanks
I connected it to my Samsung S9 with type C-connector, I can hear music but can't hear anything in voice call. Is there a solution? 😔
Can you use the 540 on your ps3? I can talk on the mic but can't hear the game. Why?
Very helpful and I agree with your decision. Thank you!
I have been working online and now I need an upgrade thank you for this
I'm looking for ones I had years ago 'without' any mute/vol controls. They had a feature that let you turn the mic off by collapsing the boom mic - anyone know this model? Thanks
"sweaty ears" - that's funny :)
Excellent video. Helped me decide. ;-)
Hi Min,
Thanks for your RUclips guidance headphone- it’s got me started!
I’m now wondering if you’ve any further guidance which headphones maybe best for me to get: I’m a psychotherapist who wants to gate out (for me!) the intermittent noise of a neighbours barking dog in my clinical sessions; though as a psychotherapist the least visual impact the earphones make the better - and the absence of an over the face/mouth microphone ‘boom bar’ is essential!
I’d also massively prefer a wired connection.
Subsequently any thoughts or pointers or guidance as to which set I should get would be really appreciated - I’m pretty clueless and there seems almost infinite choices!!
Many thanks.
Sincerely,
Paul Sibson
Hello Paul, Thank you for your feedback and comments. I will try to help. Unfortunately, no mics will completely eliminate the noise, if the noise is sudden and super loud, however, a directional boom mics will help. The two that I've talked about in this video are pretty good. The H540 does have a much shorter boom which will be less obvious in videos and less visual impact. But to be honest, i use Zoom every day around 4-5 hours and I don't think that the H390 or the H540 creates any major visual impact on my presentation, especially with the virtual green screen on. I agree with you, stay with wired connections and don't go wireless. Finally, I would take advantage of Amazon's great return policy and try out different headsets and keep the one that works for you and return the rest. One major recommendation is this... go with Logitech or other named brand headphones, there are lots of Chinese brands out there for gaming.. but don't be tempted... this is something you use everyday and Logitech for me has been really quality... (I am not sponsored just an honest feedback). There are few links in my video descriptions of the two logitech that I've tried out. Take a look and good luck!!
let me know if I can assist farther.
@@minhsao Hi Min - so many thanks for your generously offered expertise! Having looked at the H540 some more I pretty much came to the same conclusions as you; and so will order one from Amazon! But its lovely to feel validated by someone who is already using the product. Thanks again Min - Warm regards, Paul
great review.
thank you ... great review
My H530's cable just broke a few days ago (I bought it in 2010...). My old laptop's fan cooked it for solid, but it still worked. The microphone has the same problem in the last years, small noise. I bought a Lamax Elite E-1 Bluetooth on-ear headphone, but I returned it, because there's a noticable lag and sometimes only output mono sound through bluetooth (it's installs itself as two device for some reason, one of them only mono).
I have a question about the earpads on the H540: what's the difference between the environmental noise cancelling? I like that in the H530 the environmental sounds perfectly understandable and not muted at all, or pitched like with an ear plug.
I thinking about the H390 (why change it that already worked for a decade) and H540, but because of the earpads, I think I go with the H390. I liked the controls on the right ear with my H530, finding the controller at night makes it not easier.
Thanks for your review! Influencers just only telling the half truth! That bluetooth lag is "good enough" means in reality: absolutely unacceptable...
Thank you for your comments. The H540 sounds pretty muted, I definitely did not feel like I can hear my surrounding as well as with the H390, which I also had for about 10 years before this replacement. I did not like the H540 at all. And it was also very hot on my ears as I stated in the video. for video conferencing I would stay with wired for sure. Once again... thanks for your encouragement and I will continue to make videos real and truthful... :) thanks again! and have a great day!!
@@minhsao My H390 just arrived. The look and sound almost identical to H530, but the build quality is little bit worse. The way you set the size for your head is different, there's no stops like on the old one, you just slide it. And one of the tiny clip from "L" and "R" from the top just fall down, I have to push it up right from the box.
The clerk told me "this won't last another 10 years" reflecting to my H530. I guess this is the new world, where everything built for tomorrow...
and the test?
Great video I recently bought the H540 but apparently after connecting it and having a video chat I was able to hear what the other person was saying but unfortunately he was not able to get me☹️so am wondering what could the problem be,is it my settings or ? Have you ever had such a problem with your headsets?
are you sure you are not muted on the headset. There is a mute button on the headset!!! ... good luck!
@@minhsao My wife has the same problem with the H540, she needs to keep adjusting the mic position for the other person to hear her properly. I wish there was an extendable mic.
Bro cual es la diferencia entre las diademas de Logitech hechos en china y los que se hacen en vietnam?
what I don´t like from the h390 is that they hurt my ears cause are too tight and after a while the mute button doesn´t mute. AS far as noise canceling they dont cancel much. the people are always telling me there is much back ground noise. The other ones I haven't used yet
Same with mine. 😢
camera?
Chromebook support is another consideration. The H390 headset didn't work with the Lenovo Chromebook Duet (10.1") 2 in 1 (no audio), and H540 supposedly support ChromeOS. I'm waiting for the H540 to arrive to test it out.
wow that is surprising that chrome book doesn't support these headset... thanks for letting us know... keep us updated. Thanks again and happy new year!!
@@minhsao The H540 worked with the Chromebook while the H390 did not. However, like your video recommended, the H390 feels better fit wise while the H540 tends to be loose fitting and falls off the head when you're looking down.
Thank you!
Thanks! Took me days to decide. Now I'll buy the H390 😁
That is a good choice!!!
Min, hello! Im just thankful with your recomendation.
Nice vídeo now Im following you.
#SocialCoffee is my podcast, and I use my blue yeti mic, but i really need to use this headset for working.
do you think is ok for using with smartphone?
No these microphone will not work well with smartphones … they are designed for computer / desktops. Good luck and thanks for watching!!
Hi bro.. I was looking to buy a good headphone with mic for my medical transcription job and i liked Logitech H390...I really wanted to know whether this headphone help for my job in listening to conversations very clear? What's your opinion?
I think the H390 is a wonderful headphone with good mic. I use it everyday on Zoom and it works great, everyone can hear me clearly and I can definitely hear the zoom conversations clearly as well. I also use the same headset for my SC2 gaming as well. So all in all I think you can't go wrong with it. Good luck!
@@minhsao thanks for the reply😊👍
@@minhsao I bought Logi H390, and i love it!🙂
My 390 headset arrived the other day. I don't like the way it sounds. When playing Ghost Recon Breakpoint the headset makes the weapons sound terrible. I tried using an equalizer, and it helped a little, but it still sound pretty bad. My other complaint is that the earpieces swivel, which is extremely problematic because I like to wear the headset kinda loose, and the headset keeps falling off because the earpieces swivel like crazy. I've owned 50 or more headsets in my life and this is the first time I've owned a headset with earpieces that swivel. It's a big problem for me. I'm returning the headset.
It's not really made for gaming in mind. I use a pair for my work, and they are a godsend, and I do use them when gaming with friends I can;t complain about the quality since it delivers good nuff for me.
But whenever I am alone, I immediatley pick up my sennheiser 599s and don't miss the headset at all
Which one is good to voice recording through the mic?
both are pretty good, but I've personally been using the H390 for some voice recordings.
@@minhsao thank you!
@@minhsao whats ur opinion about wireless headset from logitech?
@@ariesyaban I would stay away from anything wireless unless you really need the mobility… I was a wireless engineer for a long time and the risk of interference is just not worth the trouble … and it is more expensive and the quality is usually not as good for the mic. Good luck!
@@minhsao Thanks for advice, you make me surely to choose H390!
SHould include mic tests so we can gear recorded voice from each one.
Thanks
great video
The biggest problem with the H390 are the wires of different sizes which makes it very hard to untangle completely. That tangling killed my last 390. Going to try the 540 to see if the wires behave better. I did not like the location of the volume control either. Too easy to accidentally change settings. Sound quality was fine, cannot complain.
*Proceeds to sit down*
*Video I'm watching late at night on my computer with the speakers starts getting super loud, super fast*
*panic, and my attempt to lower the volume is denied right away by an unknown force that is increasing the volume with determination*
...it was my but... it was my fat butt that was pressing down on the volume, and I just realized that I never had t he volume be accidentally turned down, it's always increases whenever it happens, lol.
Thanks you.
A headset review without a mic test... come on man.
that is a great point ... I will make sure to do that in my next headphone test!
Just found this video and was going to say the same. I mean, the review is nice but without a comparison I need to find another video to help me decide.
540 starts to hurt on the ear after an hour or so, my ears are completely red and are sore after 2 hours of online class.
Watching this cuz my cat just chewed up the wire of this headphone 😭😭😭 I am devastated
LOL
the headphones are too hot...lol...bad headphones
Microphones: The difference are that one is on the left, and one is on the right.
Thank you, bro.
Thank you!
