You guys need to do some online sales for these kits. My local shop seems to be under the impression the fords are not worth the effort to use the factory head unit.

works similar to the JL fix 86 but is more functional it looks like. I tried the fix 86 and was disappointed. I now have the Mft 1 and Kenwood excelon which is night a day different and better. If this doesn't sound better than the Fix 86 which had almost no bass output no matter what you did and I had a kicker amp with the shok bass restoration/enhancement on it. Then I say go with the MFT 1 and aftermarket head unit. Its hard to get sound that doesn't exist in the factory head unit. I recommend going after market unless you are just in love with the factory operating system.
Well with Fords, that’s what FORScan is for. You can deactivate the factory EQ processing and switch from high level to low level output (both are separate). Highly suggested for those of us that want to retain the factory look. However, the factory ACM only supports up to 16bit/48kHz sampling rate so aftermarket is still better if you have better quality music files.
@@brandonhooker4498 As the video shows when you bring the bass back in and flatten the EQ it lowers the overall output of every frequency. You can add back in with the DSP but still takes away from your overall volume. It's not just the factory Eq or the final output. Its not just about the speed and control of the processing. In this case the head unit was never designed to be connected to a subwoofer so it just doesn't reproduce the lower frequencies like an aftermarket head unit. It is way better than just hooking up a line output converter that's for sure and does allow you to keep your factory head unit which is a plus to many. It has no clumsy external controls and the Dsp can be easily hidden that's a plus. Anything they make works well and is of great quality and that is a plus. I just wanted to point out the difference a make sure that if people want Shock and Ah that the MFT 1 is the best choice.
This is so cool! Will they control for ANC on/off and where the Ford chimes are routed(speakers vs. small speaker in the cluster)? Would be cool if someone could figure out how to re-tune the ANC so it worked with an aftermarket system, too.
Hey Guys, I'm looking to add an amp and sub with lc2i to my factory non bose Silverado. Will the GM3 DSP harness work in order to get speaker signals from the factory head unit to LC2i? Thanks!
If I get one of these and change my car battery in 2 or 4 years? Should I have to connect it to my computer all over again to reset it, or does it keep everything in a memory settings? 🤷🏻♂️
Just buy an OBDII memory saver. Scotty kilmer recommends them all the time. I bought ine on his recommendation and it works flawlessly. One end plugs into the OBDII and the other to a 12 volt source. Don't have to reprogram my radio or clock settings.
@@crusaderLFthere's a pretty big Lexus performance community. @FIVESTARCARSTEREO I just took the DSR1 out of my f150 and put another dsp in its place. Would it make any sense being that I already own this to run this with the T harness and feed the RCA outputs into my other dsp?
Just a heads up to anyone with a 2019+ F150, this does not work, I spent 3+ days trying to get it to with tech support but the signal was very noisy. I tried restoring it and although it looks as though it programmed correct the signal is still weaker and I am trying to figure out how to either fix it with forscan or a trip to the dealer. Overall a terrible experience.
@Javier not yet, I think I am going to play with forscan this weekend. The DSR1 has been out of the car and back to a normal t harness and my other processor
@Javier I had sound with huge noise in the background, I cut the power and ground out of the harness and ran direct to my power distribution for the amps which is 0awg power and ground to the battery, I tried the programming several times with a rep on the phone. The resistors are not used in this setup. What year is your truck? Im convinced its an issue due to changes that were made to the radio in I believe 2019 (no longer have the integrated cd drive.
@Javier so probably same issues I was having, I would not be surprised if they only tested on a couple earlier model radios, I had terrible experience with the software for amp replacement on my 18 mustang when it was brand new as well.

Don't use normalisation. Spotify applies a limiter that tends to make songs sound flat and dull with no impact.
