In my experience that look comes more from high end electronics and decent speakers than decent electronics and high end speakers. If your looking to budget enginer your experience save on the speakers, not the electronics. Of course the knowledge and tuning also have to be there to get it right.
There’s at least 15 instruments playing in Banda and it’s truly incredible to hear all the nuances for the first time. When listening to a SQ build you find yourself listening to everything just to hear it the way it’s supposed to sound in the studio
Sergio Cuevas that’s where I am trying to get to. So far I know things are missing. And the clarity isn’t there for me. I know what instruments I’m supposed to be hearing. Tonal wise it’s not there. Like for example there’s times I can’t clearly hear the representation of a trombone etc.
I now have a new dream system. Previously I wanted a system that would sound so good it freaked me out. Now my dream is a system that freaks Fernando out.
Your description of sound clarity in relation to high volume is so accurate. When I finished the system in my truck, I didn't realize for a few days how loud it actually was playing at full volume because of the clarity and lack of distortion until I demo'd it to a friend in the passenger seat. I'm running a SoundMan iPad dash with a DragonFly DAC, AudioControl Overdrive Plus, JL Audio HD 900/5, Focal K2 Power 6.5 Coax, JL Audio Single 8W3v3 MicroSub, Ported. Sounds amazing in my little 2015 Silverado 2 Door and I haven't put in a DSP for time delay and EQ, any recommendations for that would be nice.
Is Audison not great in that arena? Been watching here for a few months. I was in the industry professionally 20 years ago and looking to dabble a but for fun again. Audison to me back then was not a tier one brand but companies change and their products certainly look good on paper.
Soo. That’s it!!! ??? No further demo of the best sounding system I’ve seen to date?? What a tease!! Maybe a better representation using non copyright material. We’ll suffer through it!! Thanks guys
Love the Voce amps. I miss my Thesis amp I had many years ago. Please do the Forza series amps as a video. They are the next amps for my Golf. The F8.9 active and bridged to 3 way front stage. And the AP1D on an Audison sub.
I have a 2018 f150 with the 4.3 inch screen, I want a new double din unit and aftermarket amps, I own more than 200 old school amps, what do I need to replace the radio? I will buy from 5 Star if they can ship the parts to Arizona. Dash kit, module etc, I want to maintain steering wheel controls.
What kind of cost r we looking at for this system , I also have a Raptor that I'm thinking of upgrading the system in it . But mine is a 2017 with a Sony system in it
Guys you've put in a lot of awesome detail work in there. I'm not able to decide on what speakers should I go for, Voce or the Prima along with AP F8.9 bit DSP Amp. Would guys pls help me.
Not in this particular case, but how do you measure for time alignment if you have a passive crossover in the mix? So if you have the midbass in the door, and tweeter top of dash, how would you measure that for a dsp? I guess its the same for subwoofers, mine are on opposite sides of the car, but on one channel.
@@FiveStarCarStereoInc Interesting question from the OP. Can you explain why you go to the midbass rather than tweeter, center average or some other measurement. I curious, drop some knowledge on me. Also what do you do for subs? Does it change depending on orientation, placement etc?
@@Khyree_Holmes Where in the world are you paying 40% tax? Let me know because I don't want to live there. NYC is about 9.25% so $555 dollars in tax. Please stop pulling numbers out of the magician's hat.

Nice video. I would love to know the final cost of this project . I can only imagine the Bay Area “baller” who owns this truck. Or middle aged guy who’s got some bucks to spend.
@paul garcia It's just about impossible to replace the Audi MMI/head unit. Most guys use a Mobridge DAx interface unit in order to get a clean source signal from the MMI. It's similar to the Nav-TV ZEN unit used here for the Ford F-150 Raptor. And then you can also use a portable DAP as an additional pure Source signal into a DSP. Dean, I have to disagree on the way you measure the doors speaker distance. Yes, physically it is set back from the speaker grill but they have fast rings to direct the sound through the speaker grills. The sound only comes out of the grill. Would it not sound more correct to measure the grill distances instead for the recessed speakers as the sound is actually emerging from the grill?
Evilthx you have to go to the source of the sound for the measurement. I equate it to a gun firing a bullet. The source is inside the gun, not the end of the barrel where you first see the bullet. If that makes any sense.
@@Masterdebator881 So if there is no grill and the speaker is behind the panel, where is the sound coming from? Exactly, this is why there is a speaker grill, so the sound can emerge into the cabin. The speaker is useless if there is no way for the sound to enter the listening area. You all can go on measuring the speaker behind the grill adding distance to the speaker and I will measure to the grill where the sound is passing through so that the image is correct.
You don’t even know how the arc amplifiers sound with a dsp, I would combine that system with arc amps because they are more natural in my opinion and to me have more of a punch that none of the audison amplifiers do
Crazy system but I was disappointed with the sub choice. The guy spent light half a million dollars all the components but choose a plain sub thats crazy.
on the 15-up F-150 you shouldn't run a ground to the battery. They have a smart charging system that if the ground isn't run through that little circle sensor (that the factory grounds run through right before they connect to the battery) it can mess up that charging system. My boss just just gave me the TSB about it the other day.

If you have an iPad in the dash you definitely want a DSP that can be controlled by it. DSr1, PG, Audiocontrol w/ adapter, alpine
A DSP will allow you to remove the AudioControl Overdrive Plus as well. Less in your signal chain is best.
