I have a 2nd gen mid 2000's Toyota Solara with the stock non JBL head unit and Rockford Fosgate P300 12" powered subwoofer as a mild upgrade. When I turn it up the volume, the bass rolls off in the factory speakers and the subwoofer. Can this device convert clean sound from my stock head unit to my sub so the bass doesn't roll off? The sub is connected line level to the rear speakers at the moment.
Yes! On the low level input range there are 60Ω load resisters. There are non on the high level range because it accepts up to 40 Volts which generates way too much heat for the heat sink to dissipate. Check out the KICKER KEYLOAD2/4 if you need a lower impedance, higher power load generator. www.kicker.com/locs-interfaces
I went after the factory amp on my 14 cadillac cts coupe with standard bose, works pretty good, wondering if I should run off of more than just the 1 factory sub channel though.
@murdamechanik If you know that your head unit puts out a flat, clean, full range signal that isn't pre-EQ'd, use the LC2i. If not, the KEYLOC is your best friend. You might also consider the *JL Audio FiX* which also corrects for OEM systems that have built-in Time Alignment. But if a PAC AmpPRO, mObridge DA, or NAVTV ZEN unit is available for your vehicle and you need to retain the OEM head unit, one of those would be the absolute best.
@@bbfoto7248 The KEYLOC corrects for factory Time Alignment *and* All-Pass Filters. The FiX can't do AP Filters. That's the advantage of being newer. Better product at a cheaper price.
@Thordur Thordarson Most 4-channel amplifiers have a selector switch to use just one set of RCA inputs for ALL of the channels. If not, simply use RCA "Y" adapters to feed the signal to all of the amplifier's inputs.
@@minitrucker007 well I take it you dont know how the clean sweep works then... dont get me wrong I used to be a big fan of kicker products before they started having everything they sell made in china the only woofers i would buy were kicker.
Jimmy Norris no I know how it works, this was not made to be like the clean sweep it was made to be an upgraded version of there sum8 that’s what the product was intended to be. This product was not based off the JL product is was made to be and evolution of one of there already existing products.
@@minitrucker007 I never said it was made to be like the clean sweep but it does the same thing .and if you think it doesnt then explain. Because from the way that its functions are described it sounds like it does the same thing. Next your going to say audio control doesnt have anything like it either.
@@cadillacwrench The update to JL Audio's outdated Cleansweep are the JL *FiX* interfaces, which will also correct for any built-in OEM time alignment.
This is incredible. Exactly what I was looking for!
Does that flat signal stay that way throughout the volume range or does it fluctuate after the initial setup? Tia
Please
Make a video showing how to install it to the back of the stock radio wiring harness. And how to wire the keyloc power and remote wires!!!!!

Mike Anoneemus OK so how much crack have you been smoking and can I have some? 😅 Watch the video again!
Switch it to the front, not as much rolloff on the front channels !
@@eastender74 It looks like the device in the video requires an amp. I'm just using a stock radio. Maybe you should grow up.
@@boatdr.t5737 No thanks, there are four stock 6x9s in the car that all receive equal power and bass/trebel signal.
Does it have ohm resistors built in for those factory radios that have to see a load for the radio to output sound to the speakers

For the GM Bose amplified system, do you grab the signal before the factory amp or after?

Does the kicker key 200.4 not do this also?
Yes it does. This Keloc is for if you already have your aftermarket amplifier or DSP and don’t want to replace the factory head unit.
no the 200.4 does not boost a signal! i know because i have one and a rta. i can see the before and after results.
I like it much does it cost..
What would you guys at five star choose? Kicker keyloc or audio control LC2I

I see the key has only one rca channel out, what if you want to use it for more then one channel? like if I want to hook it up to 4 channel amp?
Better have some deep pockets bro! 😅

yes you can. if your daisy chaining your signal install the loc before the daisy chain. (for a active component set up)
Wow! Your camera is so clean!!!!! The Video and Audio are excellent🙌🏼
I’m guessing they’ll retail it for $199-299?!
So its like a JL audio clean sweep ?
No, it does the same as the kicker Sum8 but automated and way smaller.
