I have been painting for over 50 years. Custom Cars, Motor Cycles, Boats, Air Brush, Abstract Art, Canvas, You did a great job with that guitar...I am a fan of doodle art, Someday I want to do a whole car with White with Black Marker, Seen a Lamborghini don like that...Keep up the great work,,,
+Sir David Haddon Sir you are a very experienced painting artist. It's my pleasure to receive your kind words. Painting a whole car takes lots of time n skills, but I believe the result will be amazingly good. Good Luck!
@Bram Driedssens I'd rather make sure I got the drawing right before choosing the color (yellow can mess with your eyes) and by drawing it over white at first they could fix mistakes later.
Hey ! I love your work :) I'd like to custom my guitar but I was afraid that the Posca will stay wet and the coat will ruin all the work, but you convinced me ! Can you please tell me what kind of lacquer/coat did you use at the end ?
Posca dries pretty quick, don't worry. The lacquer i used is called pylox lacquer. But there many other brands provide suitable lacquer for clear coating.
Enjoyed the sped up video. I am looking to try this type of thing on a few guitars and would like to learn more about the materials used. Any suggestions?
Hello friend , I would like to know which pen thickness you used in each part of the drawing , and painting . Thank you and good night , your video is amazing !!!
+Mau Rios Thank you Mau Rios. I used the pens with 2mm tip for the outlines and 1mm tip for the details. Which tip size to choose depends on your design
it's white surface primer, which is commonly used as the base coat of spray painting.the one i used is called "Mr. Surfacer 1000 surface primer spray " Good luck for you~
I used glitter nail polish and it worked good. You can aply the nail polish directly on the existing polish. Just tast the polish on something else to make sure you like the polish. I also used stickers.
Carpe Diem Studio Warning! It may cost too much and many nail polishes will not look as good as they look in the bottle and if glitter ones turned out to be most difficult to work with. You are probably better off with using primer and permanent marker as you are probably doing now. If you are going to try nail polish one day try on something that you don't care about. Some lady painted guitar with acrylic paint and it looked good but she is an artist and I am not really an artist. I can't draw anything beautiful. I can't even draw smiley face that doesn't look creepy.
looks sweeeeet fyi you can wipe any guitar with willbond or liquid sandpaper and paint over no need to strip or prime something already painted saves hours
That thing looks absolutely awesome. I would suggest putting either black or yellow volume and tone knobs on it though. It would really make those knobs pop if you put them on there. You should do the headstock too. But it looks amazing as it is I could definitely give you that.
When will you do your next guitar.Dude your inspiration for me.I've been looking for some designs to paint my guitar for months and yours are the ones i like the most.
I have always wanted to drop my guitar off at a college and tell all the art majors " you can draw anything you want on it" i bet you would have one awsome guitar.
+Kevin Mccarthy Thank you Kevin.I intentionally wanted to make guitars look good. I dont do that for money, but I'll be happy if someone buy my works with reasonable price
Looks damn good from here.. I have an old buddy from high school, That's been 35 years now, Anyhow He's an artist, I want to buy/build an SG & have him do a fool rendition..
Hey ! First of all - Awesome paint job :) Second .. i was wondering what base paint and what lacquer you used (you wrote the pens used down below already :) ) I already removed the old color from my guitar and was inspired to try your way, since it looks awesome :)
I been watching quite a number of videos about various guitar paint jobs. Some were pretty good, some let me feel petty for the instrument :) Your paintjob is both original, and very well executed. Single issue I would say: You better do two add-on clear finishes over your paint job, I think you did it a bit thin.

Why not start with a yellow basis? And draw wirh blak on top of the yellow?
because its called primer.
@@netyaroze1663 could have applied a yellow base coat over the primer.
Why not just enjoy the fu*king video 😂

I been watching quite a number of videos about various guitar paint jobs. Some were pretty good, some let me feel petty for the instrument :)
Your paintjob is both original, and very well executed. Single issue I would say:
You better do two add-on clear finishes over your paint job, I think you did it a bit thin.
