Tia & Cheveyo, we discovered your channel last year because of your Amsterdam video and then we've kept watching. (We went in November last year, but we've been there every year since 2016. This year we also went to Florence, and of course re-watched your video there.) Thank you for sharing so much of your lives on RUclips. I know it must be awkward, but your travels, especially the Vietnam motorcycle trip, are really inspiring. So, onto my reason for commenting here: you ate at Ess-a-Bagel! I was so worried that you would stumble on some mediocre New York bagel, but you didn't! I didn't even know they were in Times Square--and told my husband he needs to buy me some, since his office is there. My office is downtown, but we get Ess-a-bagel delivered on the regular. We always have, for years, but especially now when they're trying to lure us back into the office. I'm looking forward to Portugal--I'm half Portuguese myself, though I've never been there. Your new camera is stunning. We watch you on our TV and it's like, wow.
Tia's dad gave her such a heart-warming hug ... so TOUCHING! I wanted to see that at the arrival but glad you both included it at the departure. SO SPECIAL ... must have been so hard for your dad to let go, definitely saw tears! THANKS!!!
LOVEE the new camera guys, I clicked on the video first without reading the title and I immediately noticed the difference and said how amazing it looked! Very good investment 😁 Is it the Sony A7iii with the tamron lens? I’m saving up but it’s taking a while 😂😂😂
Hi Guys! Great new camera but my heart was in my mouth when you napped in Central Park with it...do take care! As others have noted below, NYC water is special because it's piped in direct from the Catskill mtns and it's been that way for centuries now...there's plenty of minerals in the water, all of them good for you! PS when you get to Lisbon, be sure and try out the ancient trams :)
The new camera is finally doing justice to your B-Roll and editing techniques. Awesome news that you guys are going to Portugal. Looking forward to following your adventures there.
The new camera looks great! I thought you guys did great with what you had before, but this is definitely a step up! But just so you know….whether you have a nice camera or a not so nice camera….you are so likable, enjoyable and fun to watch!
🥳🥳🥳 can't wait to see more of the new gear in action - looks like it’s gonna be much heavier, but looks so clear already! and that’s a really great call not getting a drone. Super happy for you guys! Portugal is incredible, we completely fell in love with it.. have fun! We can’t wait to go back!
Hello Tia & Cheveyo great to see footage of New York. Awesome news on your camera and so many settings to explore the colour is perfect and pic wide. Have a great journey to Portugal beautiful location take care have a safe trip 😍
Please take some time on your Portuguese adventures to sample some old vintage and/or tawny port. So rich and sweet. The good stuff isn’t cheap but it can be dessert in a small glass.
Images are so clear and sharp with huge wide angle. Nice! But having said that, all your old footages are just fine, though sound pickup may be a bit soft at times… well done!
Little tip if you are in Lisbon: Santa Clara dos Cogumelos. A quirky little restaurant where the whole menu is basically mushrooms. Ask a local for a good fado restaurant to go to as well. They are an experience! Have fun!
Nice new camera. Tia looks more beautiful than ever. 😍 And to be fair Cheveyo isn’t a bad looking bloke either. 😄 Enjoy your pre-Australia visit to Portugal guys. 😎
Nice, looks like a Sony with Tamron lens? Had the Tamron 17 28 full frame lens and it was worth the bulk but hopefully you have a handheld gimbal/stabilizer to go with that bulk! Must visit Porto (our fav amongst group of 8) compared to rest of Portugal and Spain.
Your impromptu tour of NYC was great. You guys are masters of making the goofy things most of us do while traveling seem totally entertaining. Be careful with that new camera - run extra fast to retrieve it on those walking away shots!
Good to see you back on the "road". The wider angle with the new camera looks great and yes, drones are not approved in every country, so a good call 💕
NYC, my old stomping grounds! In high school, we had a bagel shop that we would go to for breakfast, bagels were fresh out of the oven, the best way to have them, they were awesome! It’s cool that you guys upgraded your gear, let us know how you like it.
Be sure to try at least one of these 3 restaurants in Lisbon: O Velho Eurico, Pateo 13, and Casa do Alentejo. They are in order of price (cheapest first), but also in order of how nice the ambience is!
New camera looks great. I'm always watching on my OLED or 8K TV. Are you guys planning on uploading in 4K? Perhaps HDR in the future? Have fun in Portugal!
You guys have very interesting life. Most people, including myself, have so many things that tie us down in one place, even with no children or family. You guys are able to let go of all of them with very little to carry and just travel all around the World. Very nice!
We knew there was something different about the vlog as soon as we clicked into it lol GREAT CAMERA! Graphics look amazing. We look forward too your Portugal vlogs 😍
Oh. My. God! Portugal??? That's awesome! I've actually got my eye on the city of Porto as a possible retirement location in the not-so-distant future. So I hope you get to go there. I actually have a cousin living there now. And New York City! I'm so glad you got to experience the chaotic, messy wonderfulness of what used to be my home for 4-1/2 years back in the '90s. You made me so nostalgic for the Big Apple. My original plan to go to NYC in September before my move to Viet Nam in November just fell through this morning. But this video has me thinking about a plan B. I would love to have a NY bagel & schmear (cream cheese) and a pizza once again before leaving these shores. I loved how you ate your pizza like New Yorkers, folded in half. Good job! And the picture quality was very good. I'm not expert, but things did seem a bit clearer. Great investment. I hope it doesn't end up weighing you down too much during your travels, though. That thing is HUGE by today's standards. Can't wait to see your Portugal vlogs. Boa viagem!
So excited for your new adventure of second year of exploration around the world! Portugal is one of my favorite countries I’ve traveled. I’m looking forward to seeing your vlogs.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hi wishing you luck and happiness on your 2nd year.portugul is nice you should go to the algarve beautiful beaches.loved all your content on year one.especially enjoyed south east asia.
I've been loving your guys' videos for the past few months now (I found you guys from your Singapore videos!). And I also must say, going with a new camera was way smarter than going for a new drone.
As an avid photographer with a dronepilot licence, I agree with you about prioritizing a good camera over a drone. If you have a drone less than 250g. is much easier to travel with, but not hasslefree. There are plenty of dronerestrictions in citycenters, which of course have to be respected. The good thing about a drone is that you get the exact angle you want.
Wish I could have said hello when you were in New York as you were very close to my home but good luck on your next adventure. Portugal is fabulous and hope you are able to get down to the very south coast, the Algarve. If you can check out Sagres, the very tip of Europe.
I finished watching almost all of your old videos yesterday which is really bad because now, I have to wait impatiently for you to upload. I missed you guys.
OMG Go to Spain then Portugal by boat cross over after Spain! Go to Nazare by bus from Lisbon. The little fishing village is great to see and to be. There is a small mount next to the sea short, you can hike up or take the lift. On top of the cliff there is a little village! so great food right by the sea.
So surreal to see you guys in my hometown! Also, I never toast my bagels if I'm getting cream cheese because it just melts the cheese too much and just oozes out when you take the first bite.
Hey kids (pardon me), the new tech is beautiful. Obviously, the vision is cleaner and has more flexibility, but the sound is a huge improvement on your little lanyard numbers. They were great for isolating what each of you were saying, but the ambience pretty much vanished. Oddly, the new gear has amplified your grass-roots appeal, i.e. it's even more like hanging out with a couple of unpretentious friends in new places. Those drones are SO cliché..
How exciting!! That's a super nice upgrade. Once you have time, make sure to learn some basic camera settings like aperture, ISO, and frame rate (if you haven't already). NYC is a cool city but I'm very excited to see your vlogs from Portugal! I'll be traveling there in September 🤗
Oooooh congrats on the new camera! What model was it? I figure it's a Sony by the shape. You probably should think of going for a fixed 50mm lens considering your shooting style. It's easier to lug around lot of depth of field. WIll have a shorter lens barrel. Also due to the nature of the shotgun mic, you should use your DJI microphones for indoor noisy areas. I hope that lens is protected with a UV filter. And pick up a polarising filter too! It will eliminate reflections while shooting through glass. It might be interesting if you use both your iphone and camera to shoot video. You definitely can't do your trade mark walk past video with this ;) The challenge will be in the file formats and editing it all together to ensure you can't visibly see the difference. I wonder if you have a grip / mini tripod for the camera or just hand hold it? Must be heavy for you considering all the iphone shooting. Never forget where you started from ;) 3 Settings you should learn 1. Exposure compensation - centre weighted and spot experiment with the setting, it will prevent overexposure / under exposure in some scenarios 2. White Balance - compensating for indoor lighting vs outdoor 3. Aperture control mode - shoot high aperture number for sharp, low aperture for blurring backgrounds bokehs. Happy Year 2!!
The 50mm is a great focal length but I don't think it's wide enough for their vlog-styled videos. As someone who travels a lot myself, I prefer a zoom lens that's versatile enough for vlogging and some more close-up shots... 😊
New camera is great, although I’d still watch you guys no matter what camera you used! New York has the best pizza. Any fresh urine odors in the subway?
My wife ( Portuguese ) and I ( Thai ) have been watching your vlogs since the beginning. We travel to Portugal every other year. We were just there this past May. I see that you are heading to Portugal so I hope you do the same thing you did when you guys were at southeast Asian. Road trip Portugal, so you can visit and see the other towns villages and cities that Portugal has to offer. Beside Porto, Lisbon and the Algarve.
Very good quality compare to your previous videos, the video is more crisp and the audio has definitely improved, so well done, is it a Sony a7iii full frame?

New camera looking sharp and the color dynamics are vibrant and rich. Big upgrade and it wasn’t even bad previously
Love quality of the video. Very clear and focus on the object and blur the background beautifully. Looking forward to see more posts.
The quality is so good you guys!
Great video as always.
It does seem the autofocus is not set correctly yet.
Tia's dad gave her such a heart-warming hug ... so TOUCHING! I wanted to see that at the arrival but glad you both included it at the departure. SO SPECIAL ... must have been so hard for your dad to let go, definitely saw tears! THANKS!!!

Thumbs up to the new camera! Nice crisp pictire.
The new camera looks great! I thought you guys did great with what you had before, but this is definitely a step up! But just so you know….whether you have a nice camera or a not so nice camera….you are so likable, enjoyable and fun to watch!
Quite impressive for Sedona, Han River (S.Korea), & other places.
Have a safe trip!

I enjoyed the previous videos. You are starting a new journey!! I hope both of you feel more, learn more, grow and have a happy smiling trip again.

You will love Portugal! A great choice.

ALREADY? JUST CAUGHT UP TO TO THE E D OF THE KOREAN SERIES. CANT WAIT TO VIEW THE NEW SERIES OF TRIPS!
Looks like a Canon. With those IPhones you guys will kill it with the b-roll. I hope you have one spare battery. The quality is awesome 👌
Yay! Can’t wait to see a new change of scenery, cultures, foods, architecture and adventures on that side of the world

Fresh bagels don’t need to be toasted you got it the right way 😃
Welcome to Europe! Have you been to Ireland yet?
👍good job
Hope you guys enjoy New York!
P.s; Montreal bagels are the best!
Why. Your previous video is awesome with the older camera. Maybe not high tech like the new one but your videos still awesome
What camera and lens to you get?
You will love Portugal. It is a more laid back cheaper country in Europe. I had a lot of good experiences in Portugal.
