PKD Awareness Webinar (03/25/21)

In support of National Kidney Month, Marianapolis College PKD Awareness Club President Gerlando Guarraggi hosted a Facebook Live event about PKD Awareness on Thursday March 25th. Gerlando was joined by Montreal Nephrologist, Dr. Ahsan Alam, who presented information about the kidneys and polycystic kidney disease specifically.
Also in attendance were PKD Foundation of Canada Executive Director Jeff Robertson and volunteer Montreal Chapter / Walk Coordinator Luisa Miniaci-Di Leo. Jeff and Luisa shared insight into their family history with this disease, and the work being done by the PKDFOC on both a local and National level to raise critical awareness of PKD and funds for clinical research.
