Great video, thumbs up 👍 9:21 you say that X95K does better shadow detail. Which one would think because it's Sony, it's their thing. But right at the time stamp. The 900B and in virtually all other shots in darker scenes have better shadow detail. Look how much more you can see into the darker areas on the 900B. Also, an earlier scene when Aquaman drops through the ceiling. The 900B showed a lot more in the darker areas. AKA, Shadow detail. 9:27 ironically, it's the 900B that has less black crush in that image. So how does that work? Here at 8:03 the X95K is black crushing a lot more than the 900B. So ironically what you say don't match the footage. The 900B showed better shadow detail in all the footage in this video, lol. Maybe it's the camera, but it's the same camera, no? I love Sony, but I must say the 900B impresses a lot here. The deeper black levels exist too. 1344 zones vs 732 zones basically double and that is on a 65" vs 85". So it only goes up from there. The brightness on a larger size than 65" on 900B is also a lot higher. 48x on 65" and 64x on 75" and higher. It's too bright even. But it's not fully fair because the real competition is the Z9K here. Not X95K. So, it holds up really well. For me it's going to come down to how much improved the X95L model is next year vs getting a 900B at discounted price. If the narrow black bars are fixed on the 900B for real, that is big deal.
I have owned 22 flat panel TVs since 2008 as I upgrade and sell often. I recently just purchased two 85 inch Samsung qn900b for bedroom and living room. The qn900b Tvs are so good it's the first time I don't plan on upgrading for at least 3-4 years. Once you go 8K upscaling you can't go back to 4K.
Are you still of the same opinion on the 900b’s? I’m considering buying a 85 inch this week, which is heavily reduced since the new 900c have just come out.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that is why we have choices. Great comparison video, i can see the appeal of both of these sets. Thanks for the video..
GREAT VIDEO! Not many reviews on this QN900B beast. And not many reviews on larger sizes specifically like your 85 inch Sony! So that is certainly good to finally get to see as we know many consumers are considering larger sizes these days and clearly specific screen size reviews are important

Sony has always had more blooming. Mostly because less dimming zones. Especially in dark rooms w bright scenes. The Samsung always has less blooming unless picture adjustments are way off. The Samsung qled tvs are the best everyday TV there is . During the day, the bright screen or during the night the deeper blacks. Most pro Sony reviews never talk about the blooming associated with their LED tvs. And I own a Sony master series led. All I do at night is turn on auto dimming. Reduces the overly bright picture and reduces blooming. But still very noticeable around sub titles.

Great video and also learned what height to have our TV so will be adjusting it to eye level instead of looking over our fire place. It's not super high and not bad but once you look at TV at eye level man it so much more enjoyable and relaxing. Good thing our fire place is movable 😂
Watching other reviews put me off the X95K. But in this video it looks amazing. I prefer the Sony here. I actually don't mind a little blooming if the peak brightness is worth it. Going to consider this TV along with a really bright OLED. I'm not strictly OLED any more. Sony gives a confidence with their build quality and their free 5 year warranties as standard in the UK.
That is understandable if you’re getting a 65-75” version of the X95K, I would probably go with OLED. For anything over 75”, I would get X95K depending on your use case. For me, I love the HDR Impact that the X95K provides and the SDR content. I don’t have that same impact with OLED. Also, I watch sports, and that plays a factor as well.
