Mannnnn J Mo was ready last year, Goff & Ben Johnson should’ve got the ball in his hands. The most explosive weapon on the team. NFC Championship 4th play of the game 1 touch 42 yards & a TD. We do not target him 1 time until we lossing in the 4th quarter. That’s crazy

They targeted him quite a bit it’s just Goff doesn’t really have the arm nor chemistry to actually make him work, slick and don’t get me wrong I love Goff, but id like to see Hendon Hooker start at some point because I believe he has a bigger arm and is just as capable as Jared Goff of winning a Super Bowl, no he hasn’t been there, no he hasn’t ever played a snap or have playoff experience but shoot if we had someone with a better arm I think Jamo would be one of the best along with St. Brown.

I agree 100% that Jamo will be the 3rd option and very valuable for the Lions. Jamo picks up 30+ catches that went to Reynolds. #1 target is ASB, #2 LaPorta, #3 Jamo, #4 Gibbs, #5 DPJ/Raymond. Top 4 are absolutely deadly.

I agree with a lot. I think he was too fast for goffs arm because if you watched even his touchdowns he almost always slows or stops. Once Goff figured out he had to aim way further than he was comfortable with because the kids so quick it was over. Now I don't think they want jamo to take more than 5-6 targets a game because I think they want him to catch one on one shots down field as much as possible and short routes and over the middle slants cause wear and tear they might not want. I wouldn't be surprised to see some other candidates in the near future to share the load to keep em all healthy

    • @johnnygazsports

Valid points..I also thought they might bring in another FA to bolster the room. Your right in a sense that they will have to scheme more to get him the ball. At least enough to keep the deep threat viable to pen up the middle of the filed for Amon Ra and Laporta.

His entire off-season needs to spent on the jugs...working with Goff
I think he'll be good next year and im basing it on Detroit not drafting a wr. If they have faith I have faith.

He dropped a total of what 3 catches.. and one was literally a catch but he was forced out by arguably one of the best DBs in the league as he made the catch. So this season I see him and Ra setting the NFL on fire.

That’s just not true. It’s a false narrative. He has shown consistently that he can make deep throws. He threw tons of bombs in LA. His stats show that he is top 3 QB in the league in air yards of 20+ (which is their bench mark for “deep throws”). His ability or willingness to throw deep is not in question, its just ignorance from certain fans that keep the false narrative going. Jamo had route running issues and doesnt have the best catching technique. Im always holding my breath when the ball reaches him because it looks like he struggles to bring it in smoothly (unlike St. Brown that makes it look automatic).

100% agree with Brandon. Jamo needs to develop his route tree. Get a full camp in and actually work with Goff to build that timing. ( All things Johnny mentioned in the video)
Goff through for 4500 yards last year.
For Jamo to be worth the 12th overall pick HAS to be more than just a deep threat.
Jamo will go off this year but it has nothing to do with Goff needing to step up.
Brandon I will say there are flashes last year where jamo made a catch in a twisting fashion and I was like damn that's a special catch. But he needs to be more consistent. Consistency is king, see case study Amon St brown. Dude is a technician.

After only one week of “ramp up” in week 3 his suspension was reduced to a four week suspension. He still had two weeks though to continue to get back into game shape, so although he could again get paid his salary, he still had two weeks of conditioning to get back on the field. Wow. Way to be patient. Don’t think he himself has made any excuses. You could see towards the end of the season he was more comfortable and they were making a concerted effort to get him the ball. We already have our #1 in St so Jamo just needs to be consistent with his catching and take the lid off. Just like last year with Gibbs. You could see every game his vision was getting better and it was just a matter of time until he broke. It’s the same thing here.

This seems a little premature. Did you not like what you saw out of him in the last 6 weeks or the NFC Championship then?

Great point. I do mention him in the depth chart review. He is a wild card to the WR room. Had the potential to be a great 3rd option in this offense.
