I’m in the dental field and no, we don’t flip the patient chair after used. We don’t take the sharp instruments, we take the tray with instruments. We don’t wrap the rubber over the end of sharp instruments like that. That’s it. I cannot watch it anymore!

i was scared for this assistants life when she placed the tie around the instruments like a rubber band. So scared she was going to poke herself. I wrap the tie around them from the outside then it grabs the round part to hold together.

Love this video ! I was an assistant for 6 years before going back to school for hygiene . Now that I’m a registered dental hygienist I have lots of respect and empathy for my assistant. 🫶🏽♥️🦷

7:40 Wasn't the barrier supposed to be down 1st before you put that swab on the counter top? (Technically) Btw she did a good job of cleaning the room before the next patient. I'm in training myself (last couple of days) for cna. 😳 Hard work I tell ya, but somebody gotta do it lol. 10:33 My motto in life... 💯✔ Actually doing cna work in a nursing home I see that I don't want to be a nurse from working in the field in such a short amount of time, though it may seem easier. I also don't want to work in a nursing home for long either due to the stress of it all. Great video btw but I would use a paper towel to cut the water on 13:44. Trust I'm not the sanitizer police, 😭 I'm just in my last bit of training learning all of this stuff overall.

I am so glad I watched this video! I was just about to sign up for a Medical Assistant program, but I really wasn't so sure about it. Being a dental assistant really caught my attention especially after watching this video!!

I have a dental assistant interning at my office right now. She’s been following me and helping out. The programs seem to be a lot shorter now. I know where I went the program was about 8 months long.

The dental assisting program I’m currently in is 13 weeks as well. I assume people aren’t aware of this option.
