ABOUT US
Welcome to Grand Adventure, a RUclips channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, always filmed in stunning 4K.
We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah during the winter months, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and dog Zoe are avid boondockers, so while you'll occasionally find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. We've now transitioned from "long-timing" for six months a year, to living and traveling in our RV full-time.
We'll provide beautiful travel videos, as well as some tips and insight on trip planning, and equipping and maintaining your RV to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!

Once again thanks for all the great info. We are excited for exploring the coast next month! Always a pleasure!!
You are most welcome, you will have a wonderful time next month! Safe travels.
Thanks, Marc! Enjoyed the views esp. from the air. Take care, Bill
Our pleasure, thanks as always for watching!
Awesome thank you for sharing
Thank you for watching, Joanne!
Another great video Marc, really nice camping place, your clams and crabs 🦀 looked mighty tasty, the jeep ride looked like fun too. Thanks for sharing , travel safe.

Pacific CITY
Great idea about the “Hipcamp” especially during a holiday period.
That hike up the coast looked hard, tree roots! Dale looked a little too close to the edge.
The sand dunes looked way too crowded, but expected.
Tillamock cheese!!!
Never did the air museum, but that last aircraft looked interesting.
Thanks for sharing!
Ram
👍🏼👍🏾
Thanks as always for watching, you two! It was terrific to spend a little time with both of you this week.
great episode. looks like Zoey had a good time hiking through the mud to the over look. I say you got your $19 worth just in clams. Thanks Don
Thanks Don! Zoe had a ball "dogging," and those clams were that much sweeter just because we harvested them ourselves. We learned a lot while filming this episode.
Nice place thank you for sharing. I've been to Haystack rock. Nice to see it again. Take care.
We're happy to bring you back. Thanks for watching!
Looks like you had a good time and Jesse did a great job as camp host!
Yes to both!
Fun one for sure!
Happy to hear that you enjoyed it, thank you very much for watching!
Your Hipcamp spot looked pretty kewl...That might be something to look into if i can ever get back on the road... Another great video of the Oregon coast , a place we have always loved and enjoyed...Better luck with the crabbing next time ...Travel safe, be well...
Thank you very much! We had fun crabbing even if nothing walked into the pot. Hipcamp is a great resource when you can't find anything else, or in a case like this where you want to stay away from the crowds in campgrounds.
Great episode Marc! Thanks
Thanks as always, Gerald!
Loved you're video as I usually do. Appreciate the work I understand it takes to put one together. Please no more of that loud rock music in that background though. At least it changed when you arrived at the Air Museum. 😊
It all depends on the mood of the segment, Sue Ann. We do our best to match the tempo of the music to the mood of the segment.
Looks like the Hipcamp worked out great to avoid the crowds.
It sure did, Pete! This is our third time using Hipcamp -- once when we hit an intense heat wave and couldn't find an open electrical site in a traditional RV park anywhere in the entire state of Montana (and found a Hipcamp with 50A service ruclips.net/video/td_T3uGfFKI/видео.html ). The other time we weren't finding many campgrounds in the area of Down East NC we wanted to visit, and the Hipcamp we found there was just too amazing a spot to ignore, right on the ocean ruclips.net/video/y-gqKFBAb_E/видео.html .
Hipcamp has turned out to be a terrific fallback option, and it's just what came to mind when we were figuring out how to avoid July 4th holiday weekend crowds and full-up campgrounds. We have no business relationship with them whatsoever, other than being a satisfied customer.
Great video Marc, you visited many on the places that we did when we were in the area for an escapees event in 2021. What an amazing part of the country
Thank you Kyle, it most certainly is.
Thanks for the great video Marc, and whoever your vidcam person was when you were searching for clams! You brought back memories of our trip to Oregon. We didn't stop at the Air Museum, but we toured th Tellimook Cheese plant and still buy their cheese today. Safe travels!
Thanks Steve, and same to you! The cameraman during the clam segment was my trusted assistant, Mr. Tripod. 😄
@@GrandAdventure He did a great job! Ha Ha
PnW is amazing
you know more about the area than I do and I live here . Well done
😄 Thank you, Ross.
Such a beautiful area❣️❣️
Indeed it is, Scott.
Great video
Thank you, bud!
Loved the episode Mark! 😊
Thank you NPP! It was great to have you at the premiere.
Each episode gets better with information and entertainment.
Thank you so very much, Jim! We are thrilled that you are enjoying them.
Tried to find your campground, but we couldn’t find the exact location, but we were really close. Hope you had a great time in our neck of the woods here in Tillamook County!
As you will see, Tim, we sure did!
Well done. ❤
Thank you so very much!
Love ya man!
Love this series. My fav area, bc my dog loves the ocean beaches. Thanks for sharing the hipcamp spot. I added it to my library of spots, bc there just are not enough good spots to camp in the Tillamook area for my size rig or just because there is never a spot vacant.
Happy to point you to the Timber Sands Hipcamp. Jesse was a wonderful host, and you could put virtually any size rig in his spots 1 or 2. We booked both just a couple of weeks ahead of the July 4th holiday.
So do most Hipcamps have no hook ups? I'm guessing they are all Boondocking.
@@michaelskvarek6857 nope, some have hookups. They're limited but they're out there. We stayed at one in Montana that had 50 amp service.
@@GrandAdventure Sweet!
What a fun adventure. Thank you for taking us a long with you. Mary 💞 Fred
Thank you to both of you, Mary and Fred! It was wonderful to have you at the premiere.
Ha! a wise man once told me that you go "fishing" if you wanted to keep what you fish for, it would be called "catching".
That military hangar was pretty awesome. Speak to human ingenuity back in the day. Have you thought of attending the hot air baloon festival in new mexico? I saw mortons on the move video and it is one heck of a thing!
So true. I wonder what they call "repeatedly losing lures"?? 😁
The size of that hangar was difficult to convey on film. It's positively gargantuan.
I'm torn on the whole ABQ hot air balloon fest thing. I'd love to see it, but I'm not a fan of massive crowds, either. Additionally, getting a spot requires quite a bit of advance planning, something we're admittedly not good at. Nevertheless, someday I'm sure we'll be there.
I've got cool news to share when our oaths cross
I look forward to that.
Great video. That is a great area. I need to go back and spend more time in that area. Did you visit the Tillamook Creamery? They give you samples.
Not this time, Bill. We were only there for 4 days, so we had to decide what to do and what we couldn't do, which will have to wait for the next time.
Did you visit the Tillamook Cheese Factory? The Blue Heron French Cheese Co. is a Harvest Host that allows two nights.
Not this time, Norm. We were only there for 4 days and ran out of time.
@@GrandAdventure That's OK it cost me at least $100 every time I go there. lol
Hey Marc, great video as always. I’ve had my 5th wheel up and down the Oregon coast numerous times and it never gets old.
I noticed you’re hauling your kayak without the T-bar you were originally using. Am I seeing this right on your video and are you also not using the T-bar when you’re hooked up to your 5th wheel.
Thanks Rick! You're correct. While the T-rack was absolutely necessary with our Toyota Tundra, the cab length and bed length in our new F-350 long bed crew cab provides sufficient crossbar spread to balance and support the kayak far enough forward from the fifth wheel's front cap, without needing the T -- even though this Eddyline Fathom is 18" longer than our Necky Looksha was.
Awesome! Do you have the contact information for Jessie?
Joseph, there's a link to his Hipcamp booking page right in the video description: www.hipcamp.com/en-US/land/oregon-timber-sands-88lh17j2
You can check availability or message Jesse from there.
what? no cheese or ice cream?
Got to leave them wanting more. 😄
Tourists have ruined the Oregon coast. Don't come. And stay out of eastern Oregon too.
Oh what the hell, go for a job with the state tourism board!
