Noir's "death" surprised the hell outta me but I can't believe that's not going to be reversed. He does have impressive healing doesn't he? On top of that, I really appreciated how much of a badass they made Maeve. In the comics she's basicly useless but she could go a coupla rounds against Homelander. No small feat.
I felt that the plane event concerning Homelander was actually worse for the people on the plane in the show. This show is so f*cking awesome. It's so much more accurate and "real" to try to monetize superheroes, and for the superheroes themselves to have countless human flaws. For decades, superheroes have mostly been goody-two-shoes. Comics like The Boys and Watchmen seem a bit more realistic...and scary.
The Boys (Butcher, Hugie, and Frenchie) have permanant V in the comics, and it's provided by the CIA. Butcher was a test subjecy, not an engineer. It gives them super strength and durability, but they're not quite bulletproof. It also makes their poop blue.
The Boys don't have permanent V in the comics, only Kimiko is a permanent Supe, the others use Temp V that lasts a few days, Butcher said so multiple times in the comics.

Mothers Milk was the only one born with powers, but they didn't manifest until his early 20s when he was in the Army. He was boxing a guy called Fucker John and he was getting his ass kicked. Then his powers kicked in and he punched John's head right off... I can do this all day...
Am i the only one that thinks black noire isnt dead?? Like didnt black noire get exploded point blank range and survive. Didnt he survive losing a majority of his brain??? How are we forgetting all of that so soon. I HONESTLYZ THINK black noire is the only superhero in the seven that amazon can make a spinoff series based off. Well the show runners said the guy in the Black Noir suit is dead and.they gonna put a new guy in the suit,but yes that OG Black noir is gone,season 4 will replace him with a new "Black Noir" (AKA another guy Homelander pick to carry the Black Noir name)

I’ve heard this is one of the shows or movies that are actually better than the source material. I have the first trade of the comic and man, I couldn’t get through it(I’m a huge comic fan too).
They really jumped the shark with the finales, I could tolerate some stuff but Love Sausage and him helping out against Stormfront was meant to be a rerun of WW2 and making Homelander/Superman related to Nazis was great. I would only be happy if they make it that he is Stormfront and Soldier Boy kid but they missed the point of a lot of the storylines in the comics.
I hope they introduce the G Men in a future season as one of the new bad supes that would be an interesting story , also I have a feeling Jack From Jupiter and Tek Knight will appear season 4
Spoils Hopefully they do bring back Black Noir, it felt like he didn't really have an arc in the first seasons and now he finally has one but dies at the end. I can see Stan perhaps reviving him as a personal guard once again. I also kinda hoped that Payback would be mimicking the Avengers a bit more in the TV show. But I guess they can still do that with other supes like Tek-Knight and perhaps an original supe based on Spiderman
In the comics Soldier Boy is a pretty naive character who doesn't swear, like a parody of Cap. lol And in such a sick World like they are in, he is taken advantage of.

Changing Black Noir's story in this show was honestly a great move. Because now that means the show won't use that bullshit plot twist at the end in the comics. I'm sorry, I hated that twist. It actively meant that Homelander's entire mental breakdown there was fake and any complexities involving his character or his mental state were thrown out the window. Instead, in the comics he just comes across as a total dumbass and that's that.
I think they should make Soldier Boy take the black noir role but also maybe bring back black noir one more time as a reference to the comics were vegan keep even corpses alive but they’re essentially brain dead zombies. I think black noir's story would've been cool if it would've showed that he was a battle hardened war veteran of payback instead of how sensitive he was to Soldier Boy's abuse.
